[True to his word, on 6pm Thursday Spongebob has the party at the library set up and ready to go! It's filled with cute handmade decorations, snacks, and cobbled together games! Even with all the help he accepted, it's very clear that this was a passion project for Spongebob.

Taped around the library is a set of rules, and frankly there were a Lot of rule fliers around the library.]

RULES
1. Bring your own food and games! The more fun the better!
2. Stay as long as you want! We can make it a sleepover!
3. ABSOLUTELY NO MURDERING
4. Have fun! 💗💗💗💗💗

[Luckily for those who are aware of the cartoon, the party doesn't seem nearly as micromanaged as it could have been mostly because this party is more in a desperate attempt to keep everyone alive than anything else so have as much fun as you can before tomorrow!]

[As the host of the party, Spongebob spends most of his evening at the party proper, offering snacks and games and frankly asking pretty invasive questions on if they feel like murdering. He’s not worried at all, nosirree, he just wants to make sure his friends are doing well! No ulterior motive there!

However, when everyone arrives (or, almost everyone), Spongebob pulls the tv into the center of the room and calls everyone to his attention.]

Hey everyone! After the enlightening conversation I had with Farrah earlier this week, I took it upon myself to see if I can get something special to show you all! And Hester was super kind to me and let me have these! [He flashes a set of tapes to the audience.] How do some home movies sound to everyone?

[Without even waiting for a response, he pops the tape into the TV and sits down excitedly.

… Well

[Varian told Farrah he'd never been to a party before...so surely, this can count as his first, right? Sure, there's something...particularly sobering that one of the rules on Spongebob's fliers is Absolutely no murdering, but it's...probably fine. He really doubts anything is going to happen, especially not with how it seems they've all reached a sort of silent agreement that murder is bad, actually.

Definitely not worth it, no matter what the Wizard throws at them.

So Varian will be set up at one of the tables with a chess board, a deep dish blueberry-bacon pie, and some red vines if anybody wants something to snack on. Ruddiger is perched on his shoulder eating an apple because Varian has banned him from all candy and sweets, no guesses as to why...

Be forewarned if you decide to go a round with Varian, he's one of Those Nerds.]

[Angus arrives in style wearing a lion head mask and a lion pelt cape over a soldier's uniform from the costume, three lizards on his shoulder, and a dish of sandwich supplies.

He knows how to set up a deli station now.

He's also brought the Hammer of Glory! Mostly he's keeping it around to look cool, but if anyone asks.] Behold, my ancestral weapon, passed down for centuries. Now this is something I can defeat The Wizard with!

[There's also a Roomba with an incredibly foreboding aura that sneaks into the library from time to time, watching the party from the edges, picking up dust from time to time. Mostly it just sits there. Waiting. Watching.]

[ Parties are, nine times out of ten, not Janis's scene. If she's being honest, she hasn't been invited a single one in four years. Plenty of time to grow more than a little resentful of the concept - just a bunch of people and music together to try to distract from their lives or whatever.

But honestly? She could use a distraction, as the one week anniversary of seeing two corpses approaches. She's been feeling almost decent, between sinking herself back into art projects and uh. The incredible experience of every single conversation she's had in the last week with Maya Tendou. So, for the first time since middle school, Janis Sarkisian actually attends a party. A real one, not just her and Damian spitefully hanging out and eating cake.

She doesn't bring food - not for lack of wanting to, but. The culinary arts she has not quite gotten around to just yet. But she does have a camcorder in hand, bohemian scarf on, and she's mostly hanging out by the edges, walking around to film people as they enjoy it. ]

No, no, as you were. Trying to be kinda... you know, candid.

[ But she doesn't spend the whole night filming! She does, after a bit, move on to just sort of. Hanging out, drinking a soda and just. Looking at everyone. If anyone approaches, she'll wave. ]

Man, I feel like we should have been given at least an iPod or something for music, if we're going to have a full-on party like this.

[Connor's setting out three different pies at the beginning of the party. Feel free to ask about "why the hell do you have three apple pies" while he's doing that. It's actually kind of a funny story and he will absolutely produce random apples from the pockets of his jacket while telling it. Don't worry about it. There's still apples in the kitchen, by the way.

Anyway, Connor eventually ends up by himself at one of the tables with the entire selection of nail polish from the costume shop in front of him.]

This is typical slumber party shit, right? Come here, I'll paint your nails.

[His own nails are black, like they have been since he arrived, but absolutely immaculate. Also he's still wearing the awful purple duster coat over a t-shirt and khakis. This is a joke only for me. Please let me have this.

He's mostly eating apple slices that he's dipping in peanut butter, although he'll eat anything that someone thrusts at him, but whenever he's left to his own devices he pulls out a photo and stares down at it.]

[Elle comes in wearing a cute pink dress she found in the costume room. She opted to leave the fairy wings in the dorm, however.]

You look so good in that! [As usual, she is being 100% sincere.

Bruiser is at her heels, wearing a little scarf that matches her dress. He will come up to anyone holding food and beg for food. He is very cute.]

[This is the Balladeer's second (or maybe third?) ever party, but he's already decided that he enjoys parties! Especially one on Thursday night; it seems like a good idea to all stay together the night before that threat is meant to expire. Not that he thinks anyone might do anything...but, you know. Better safe than sorry, isn't it?

He hasn't had much luck with cooking on his own thus far, but he's got a chocolate strawberry pie from the vending machine, so he'll bring that along. He'll also push the piano in! You may...find him in the halls pushing the piano, actually. That's sort of a distance to get it. It's hard to navigate the doors by himself. But he's gotten this far! He's gonna make it!

Once there, you can find him sitting at the piano, noodling around. He's not playing much of anything in particular at this moment.]

[ Orpheus shows up with apples. Just, so many apples. A whole basket of apples, apples preserved in jars, fresh applesauce, dried apple slices. Connor's got his apple pies too and yet there's still apples in the kitchen. ]

We should probably start eating these? [ he says as he lays them out on the table. ] The fresh ones are probably going to start going bad before I can preserve them, so.

[ Afterwards, he'll sit down in one of the free chairs with the guitar he's taken to carrying around, playing it idly whenever no one else seems to be at the piano or otherwise performing. ]

[ Peregrine's in the library when Spongebob starts setting up, so...she decides to chip in and help. It's not much, but you know. Taping up rules, the like.

During the actual party, she's more on the outskirts, watching. Parties aren't really her thing, but she's not, like...trying to harsh the vibe.

...Despite the fact that she's got one of those deer skins. Unlike how they all appear when they come out of the vending machine, this has no visible hair. It looks soft, it looks pure white. Looks like she's been doing some work with it...? Anyway, Peregrine has it stretched over the back of a chair, with a handmade sign that says DON'T TOUCH.

That should be enough, right? ]

[This isn't really Maya's type of deal. But... She can't exactly say no to Spongebob, now can she? So rather than doing anything particular (at first at least), she settles by the doors, shiny and pointy rapier in hand. She isn't about to let Spongebob's party be ruined, after all!

Still, she's dressed kind of casually for once, or as close to it as she can get. Her hair is even pulled up, rather than simply held back by her bow.

She won't wallflower the entire time at least. Instead, she goes to check in on the other wallflowers She picks up food here and there, checks in on others with a hand to the shoulder, especially if someone looks uncomfortable or unsure.]

[The SQUIP might be

slouched in a chair at this point. It's almost as if it's trying to present itself as it normally does - pristine, perfect - but having difficulty doing so. It's still doing a damn good job, but when it doesn't seem to notice anyone looking, its posture droops just that much, it closes its eyes just longer than a blink and, all told?

Is acting more human than it has for the entirety of the past two weeks. Doesn't mean that it's socializing, though; it's still doing its observation thing, holding itself apart.]

[Was it a bad idea to bring a sword to the party? Maybe so, maybe so. But it's hers, and she can't just leave it behind! Also, look just how shiny it is when she pulls it from the makeshift scabbard she cobbled together!

During the party itself, Cassandra's actually spending most of her time in the middle of the party, looking out. Watching for signs of disaster, but also trying to... enjoy herself? Wow.

It might help that there's a very excited Snowgie jumping from running circles around Cass, to plopping down in front of the tv Spongebob set up for those "home movies".]

These are "home movies"? Come on.

[...And yet, her hand is lightly tapping her knee when the theme song plays.]

[Benjamin brings a blueberry bacon pie from the vending machine that he received earlier in the week, as well as some tea and coffee from the teacher's lounge.

While he's there, he spends most of his time sitting at one of the library tables, watching over the others almost with the eye of a brooding hen, or pausing occasionally to continue reading his book.

If anyone wants to come over and drag him into a game, he won't object, but he doesn't make an effort to join of his own volition.]

[ Rina shows up in a cute dress that she managed to find in amongst the costumes (sans her electronic face board though, just the paper one tucked under her arm), and a cute flower hairpin in her hair that she seems really excited to show people? Hmm...

Food wise she made a whole bunch of cute rainbow gelatin bowls with little cookies on top that she made earlier in the day. She has to make a few trips (though she welcomes any help with them) but in the end there's at least one for everyone with two extras. Once they're all here she looks around, counting them and realizes... ]

...I think I forgot spoons.

[ After having some snacks though she's staying off to the side mostly to herself. She might be getting a little more confident and feeling better after yesterday but big social gatherings are still A Lot. ]
