[As the investigation ends, you'll hear Hester's voice inviting you to the auditorium. As this happens, the twin doors on either side of the concession stand, across from the gym, will click open. You can enter on either side; both go to the same place.

When you enter the auditorium, it's dark. There's only the small lights along the walkway behind all the seats, just enough to illuminate where you're going. There's a central path between the seats, down towards where you know the stage must be. That's where you must be going, right? As you pass each row of seats, the lights at their ends flick on, marking your procession and slowly making more and more of the room visible. Shortly, you can see your destination: a circle of podiums stationed in the orchestra pit, below the lip of the darkened, curtained stage. They're all identical, labeled with a cast member's name. Elisabeth and Connor have joined Mumble in having theirs draped in black crepe and with a framed monochrome photo of them on top.

When you reach the podiums, the lights above the stage finally come on. the Wizard is once again waiting for you. Beside it Hester is slowly lowers in on her bubble. Her dress this week is a purple monstrosity, more akin to a voluminous prom dress than the simple outfits she usually wears.

The mechanical head, with glowing green eyes, is installed above the stage and the still-closed curtain. Even if you were standing on the stage, it'd be well out of reach. It peers down at all of you, its motions fluid, and speaks with a booming, artificial-sounding voice:]

Welcome to your second trial, everyone. It's time to determine who was responsible for the murder of Connor. Feel free to talk amongst yourselves and work together - you'll have to show teamwork if you want to leave this room alive.

[One week out from the first deaths in this place, now. When you wake up on Friday morning, everything seems pretty quiet. There's nothing immediately, obviously amiss when you leave your dorms - and if maybe not everybody is in their beds at the moment, well, that's not so strange, is it? Maybe the No Murder party worked! Nobody wants to shatter Spongebob's poor little heart, right?

But, you know. Maybe you should make sure.]

[True to his word, on 6pm Thursday Spongebob has the party at the library set up and ready to go! It's filled with cute handmade decorations, snacks, and cobbled together games! Even with all the help he accepted, it's very clear that this was a passion project for Spongebob.

Taped around the library is a set of rules, and frankly there were a Lot of rule fliers around the library.]

RULES
1. Bring your own food and games! The more fun the better!
2. Stay as long as you want! We can make it a sleepover!
3. ABSOLUTELY NO MURDERING
4. Have fun! 💗💗💗💗💗

[Luckily for those who are aware of the cartoon, the party doesn't seem nearly as micromanaged as it could have been mostly because this party is more in a desperate attempt to keep everyone alive than anything else so have as much fun as you can before tomorrow!]

[Last week, some shit went down! Salieri's scene went off without a hitch, but the good mood didn't last. The first motive was a bit of a doozy, and yet it didn't even have anything to do with the eventual accidental death of Mumble Happyfeet! At least Sissi was already pretty much dating Death anyway, right? She's probably fine, wherever she is.

This week, new menus have been posted in the cafeteria. But, more importantly, it seems that other new information has emerged. Everyone wakes on Sunday with some new memories - or are they old ones? - floating around in their heads. Maybe there was something to your discussions of time travel after all. Maybe there was someting to the Wizard's knowledge of the future.

Regardless, you're still stuck in here. At least there's some new places to explore this week. Maybe you'll find something helpful.]

[Just as with last week, once the investigation finishes, the lights begin to flicker on and off as that low, gentle rumble echoes through the opera house. Even for those investigating the grounds the outdoor lights illuminating the still night flicker to get their attention.

Your intermission is ending. Please return to your trial room.

The court room looks just as it did before: the grand chandelier glittering above your heads, the dusty red velvet seats. In the orchestra pit your circle of wooden podiums awaits you, now with a few new additions. Like Jonny before them, Sigyn and Richard's podiums have been draped in black crepe with their greyscale funerary portraits. Behind them, where the two of them stood only a week ago, a metal pole stands with a softly glowing lightbulb atop it.

The curtain is closed, waiting to open when a decision has been reached and the execution can commence.

When everyone is in their places, the Phantom's voice echoes loud and clear through the theatre from his place in box 5.]

You must now determine who was responsible for the death of King Richard the Tagalong. Submit your vote on the podiums when you are certain of your choice.

[Gather your evidence and let's begin.]

[Well! Last night certainly was exciting, wasn't it?

Beetlejuice has come and gone, and now the only sign that he was ever here at all is an update made to the rulesheets pinned up throughout the Opera House. His legs have curled up and gone away, and the statue that miraculously crushed him has, again miraculously, returned to its upright position.

So that's at least one guy who died last night - if a sort-of undead demon without a green card really counts. Was he alone? Given that there's once again some Blood Experiences to be seen in the dressing room hall - deets on that later - you've got reason to suspect otherwise!]

[ Here we are, another meeting! Noon comes fast (sorry to the stake-out folks!) and Riley's got everything...well, there's not much to set up besides food and drink (no Mountain Dew this time) but she has a clipboard and a cheery attitude, nevertheless. Hosting Mode is on. ]

Welcome, everyone~! I know we've all been looking around into...everything. So! I thought it would be important to share anything we've found with the group, so we can all put our heads together, to try and. Solve this whole thing!

Let's try and keep this civil and relaxed, okay?

[Sweet oblivious Christine is ignorant of a lot of things, including when, exactly, the motive is supposed to be revealed. The one thing she's got is boundless energy and enthusiasm to match... plus a gifted set of glittery gel pens.

So on Tuesday morning, pinned to each person's dressing room door is a piece of paper, painstakingly cut into a wobbly star with each person's name on it, written in sweeping cursive in the middle. It's a big star, though, so there's lots of blank space.

Curious what to do with all these? Christine's got a message pinned over each of the framed rules posters:]

Welcome to the Opera House Hall of Fame!

Please leave personalized messages and autographs for your fellow troupe members! Only positivity allowed!

[Christine goes through to leave a little message in her own colour for each person's star, and then sits around in the hallway, sipping at a hot cup of tea and bouncing her feet in a rhythm that naturally, only she can hear.

She'll come back after the motive is announced as well, determined not to let anyone ruin her fun, though her smile is definitely a little more wobbly.]

[And by adult sleepover, we mean Stephen's Brought Out The Wine.

After picking himself up from all the trombones, he's slipped a note under all of the adults' doors - that is, those older than 18 19 (sorry, Nana and Santana)-

My room. 7P. We need to talk about some things without the kids.

-Browning

He's gotten some food, but it's pretty clear that this is more business than pleasure. He's got enough paper for everyone, though, setting up some surfaces to be either used as clipboards or places to write. There's also a makeshift coffee station set up, because of course you have coffee at this kind of thing.

The door is closed, though, and you'll have to knock to enter. He doesn't intend for anyone who's not invited to overhear this, considering the subject matter they'll be discussing.]

[Two weeks in this place, and two of your number have finally fallen to the machinations of the Phantom. Jonny D’ville and Sigyn are both gone now, and those who survive have been shaken by a number of revelations. Can you go back to the peace you had before?

Though some of you may have corresponded with him, there have been no appearances or announcements from the Phantom since the execution. Nonetheless, things are different on Sunday. For one, you wake up with memories you didn’t possess before. Were they dreams? Were they real? Only you can say.

For another, well…the locked front doors in the lobby have creaked open. You may now venture out onto the grounds. Will you find an escape there? Or is it simply going to be more of the same? Only time will tell.]

[...She...she isn't sure what to do. She doesn't get sleep that night. She wanders around, sitting in the tea room, walking the library, trying to figure out what to do with herself. What to do for Natalie. For everyone in general.

Is this how the trials worked? Will they have to deal with another next week? Can she...she condemned Natalie's brother. She'd probably never speak to Astarte again.

This is your fault. Death is more preferable to such shame, isn't it?

As 7 am finally came around, and the kitchen opened, Astarte decides to do something. Hime...had wanted to have cake with everyone. A nobody dying cake. She should try to...try and fulfill that promise.

So, she starts working on a cake, using a recipe from the library's various cookbooks. It won't be as good as Hime's, she knows this. But she has to try. It also isn't going to look great, but...it won't be bad for the taste, right?

Once she's finished, there's a...cake in the dining room, along with some other foodstuffs, and a note that says HELP YOURSELF. There's also Astarte, starting to doze off at the other end of the table, then shaking her head to keep herself awake. Feel free to try and help her stay awake, or not, regardless of what you decide to eat or not eat.]

[Just as with last week, once the investigation finishes, that slow, ominous sound from the main lobby rumbles through the opera house.

The doors to the court room have opened and the time has come for a trial.

The court room looks just as it did before: the grand chandelier glittering above your heads, the fine red velvet seats. In the orchestra pit your circle of wooden podiums awaits you, just the same as before save for a few recent additions. Like Valjean before them, D-ne, Gabe, and Hime's podiums have been draped in black crepe with their greyscale funerary portraits. Behind them, where the performers themselves stood only a week ago, a metal pole stands with a softly glowing lightbulb atop it.

The curtain is closed, waiting to open when a decision has been reached and an execution can commence.

When everyone is in their places, the Balladeer's voice echoes loud and clear through the theatre. He still sounds slightly bewildered by all of this.]

Okay, everyone, you all know how this works now. Trial rules are the same, still no time limit, just...keep at it until you figure out what happened. You can do this.

A little bit of deja vu starts to rear its head, and those anticipating the smell of blood will definitely get their fix as they approach the lobby.

WEEK 3

[The past weekend has been a difficult one. With Valjean's murder and D-ne's brutal execution the monotony has been broken and it can be said the show is finally and truly underway.

When the performers emerge from their rooms on Monday morning the decor of the opera house has changed. Not drastically but someone was busy during the night with some redecorating. There are cobwebs draped over nearly everything, some of them with tiny plastic spiders stuck in the cotton webbing, and pumpkins of various sizes on the floor and on the tables. Some of the walls have been adorned with cartoon-ish paper skeletons and scarecrows and in the ballroom a poseable plastic skeleton has been posed at the piano looking ready to play. Someone's even set a bowl of candy on the counter of the merch booth.

But that's not all. There's a light coming from the now open doorway in the lobby that had been previously locked for the past two weeks. This new floor is similarly decorated but why not go have a look and explore for yourself?

Despite their losses, the show must go on after all.
