We Only Have Tomorrow

[True to his word, on 6pm Thursday Spongebob has the party at the library set up and ready to go! It's filled with cute handmade decorations, snacks, and cobbled together games! Even with all the help he accepted, it's very clear that this was a passion project for Spongebob.

Taped around the library is a set of rules, and frankly there were a Lot of rule fliers around the library.]

RULES
1. Bring your own food and games! The more fun the better!
2. Stay as long as you want! We can make it a sleepover!
3. ABSOLUTELY NO MURDERING
4. Have fun! 💗💗💗💗💗

[Luckily for those who are aware of the cartoon, the party doesn't seem nearly as micromanaged as it could have been mostly because this party is more in a desperate attempt to keep everyone alive than anything else so have as much fun as you can before tomorrow!]

Oh I guess I didn't tell you guys she wasn't an aquatic animal! She's actually the first mammal I met in person and I gotta say, even though I almost died it was a great first impression!

It's my fault really! I didn't know what air was when I met her so when I went to her treedome I started drying up! But I didn't wanna be rude about it since she seemed so nice and I told her I could handle it!

Oh...yeah, okay...I guess that does make more sense.

[More sense than a squirrel being able to live in a dome full of water at the bottom of the ocean, anyway. Then again, Spongebob is apparently ACTUALLY a talking sponge so nothing means anything anymore.]

I do get not wanting to be rude, but...I don't think she would have wanted you to dry up over it.

Hey I learned my lesson! And it's not like I knew it was gonna kill me at first; I didn't know how dangerous air was! I don't know how you land creatures can stand it.

[It's so dry and hot he knows you guys need it to live but breathing water sounds so much nicer.]

Well, it's kindof the same with how we can't breathe water, right? Different strokes, and all that.

[He WOULD love to be able to breathe water. It sounds cool...]

But is there a reason she's living underwater with you guys? Since she's meant to live on land like us...that sounds like it must be really hard for her.

I think she's down here doing research of the local area! At least that's why she moved here in the first place, but Bikini Bottom's become like a second home to her! I'm honestly not sure what I would do if she moved away.

[He sounds the tiniest bit wistful as he says that.]

Huh...I guess that is pretty admirable, to move for your work.

[Especially moving to someplace that could...literally kill you if you're not careful?]

I'm glad she's safe back at home, but it does make me kindof wish she were here...I bet she and I could work together to build something to get us out.

But I really wish she were here too. I betcha if she were here instead of me you guys would be out weeks ago!

I mean, you set this whole party up for us. You're half the reason we haven't completely lost all hope yet.

You really think so? I really thought the party would at least remind people that there's more to life than just these "maybes" the Wizard keeps throwing at us.

This is our home right now, and we're a family. We gotta stick together, after all!

It's easy to forget when you're in a place like this that there ever was anything else...so it's important we have things like that to remind us.
