[True to his word, on 6pm Thursday Spongebob has the party at the library set up and ready to go! It's filled with cute handmade decorations, snacks, and cobbled together games! Even with all the help he accepted, it's very clear that this was a passion project for Spongebob.

Taped around the library is a set of rules, and frankly there were a Lot of rule fliers around the library.]

RULES
1. Bring your own food and games! The more fun the better!
2. Stay as long as you want! We can make it a sleepover!
3. ABSOLUTELY NO MURDERING
4. Have fun! 💗💗💗💗💗

[Luckily for those who are aware of the cartoon, the party doesn't seem nearly as micromanaged as it could have been mostly because this party is more in a desperate attempt to keep everyone alive than anything else so have as much fun as you can before tomorrow!]

I figured when the vending machine gives you apples, you gotta make an apple pie about it. [He shrugs.] I think Orpheus did something with some of the rest? He asked what I was gonna do with them and I said Varian's trash panda will get fat if it eats them all and I can only bake so many pies about it so.

Better than just leaving them out there to rot, I guess. If, uh...if you ever wanna make more, you know... Okay, so I'm not good at baking? But I was like, a sous-chef for my mom when I was younger. Something to pay you back you back for, you know. [ She pulls one hand at the cloak she's wearing. ]

I might. Not all of them are good for baking, so it depends on what’s left next week. [He slips the photo back between the pages of his sketchpad.] You don’t have to pay me back for that, though. It’s a gift, it doesn’t come with strings.

[There’s an echo of something in his tone. A lifetime of expectations attatched to gifts from Larry Murphy means that Connor feels pretty strongly that gifts aren’t something that need to be repaid. If it needs to be repaid, it’s not a gift.]

You know, I used to wear these leather bracelets? To cover up the, uh. Other scars.

[He has one big, prominent scar on each of his wrists, but there's a bunch of lighter scars that are only noticeable if someone is, maybe, paying a lot of attention to his arms.]

Not that I'm ashamed of them or anything, but. It would be nice to wear them for a different reason, I guess.

[ Hm. Hm, well! Those scars certainly are something Peregrine's noticed, especially after...everything, after Sunday. ...No, honestly, since that day he oh-so-casually talked about laying down and dying. ]

Did...you like some more than others? Just, like, the cuffs, or...?

I had cuffs, yeah, but also just braided ones and, uh.

[In week one, he had leather cord wrapped around his wrists a lot of the time before it started getting in the way and he figured anybody who noticed the scars would be polite enough not to ask about them.]

Just, like. Wraps? Those get in the way a lot though, so probably something simple.

[ She's. Absolutely fiddling with the bracelet he made her, just by the way. ]
