Week One
[Yesterday, everyone woke up in a strange place and realized that they'd been kidnapped, and also that everyone else around them may or may not be kinnies? Wow, what a weird escalation of kin drama! Given what some people have seen of Spongebob's freaky arm thing, though, maybe it's not that at all?
Your Assistant Director, Hester, showed off her stuff and immediately had her life threatened by Lumpy Space Princess, who got her life threatened right back. Maybe you should keep that in mind if you decide to pay Hester any more visits! She won't be making another public appearance this week, but as promised, she'll be available for visits and consultation in the Principal's Office during business hours.
If you don't want to chat with Hester, there's always the school to explore! Some of you might also be receiving mysterious coins next to your bedside this week - those must be useful for something, right? There's lots to do, and you all seem like a group who can make your own fun, so enjoy your first week of school!]

(( OOC: This will be the last mod post for this week! Feel free to start submitting regains for any threads that aren't with Hester. Remember, song threads mean an extra coin! This is a peace week, so get all that CR while you can! ))

[Well, color her curious at the very least, all things considered.
So she'll be in the scene shop, looking around at everything as she waits for...whatever is happening.]

History Club
At noon, when the club is due to meet, all of the lights in the scene shop flicker ominously. There's not really any windows in here, so in the moment they're out, it is dark. Hard to see your hand in front of your face.
When the lights return, two shadowy figures have appeared in the scene shop with you! They're mostly just silhouettes, like figures in a shadow play. One of them is inhumanly large and appears shaggy, and the other looks like a tall man with a tall hat. They are fighting. Just full-on trying to punch each other. The ape is throwing two-by-fours, and the man is ducking and weaving with the best of them.
Choose your fighter!]

After that meeting, he’ll head to the Kitchen, starting to pull out actual gallon jars of honey as well as several apples, large bags of spices like rosemary, sage, hyssop and thyme, and finally, a very large, 20 gallon pot with a very convenient spigot at the bottom. His jacket’s been discarded on one of the cafeteria tables, and his sleeves rolled up to his elbows. He’s even donned an apron to keep whatever he’s doing from getting on him. Once everything’s set out and the pot is on the burner, Salieri is going to get started making short mead.
That’ll take care of several hours of time, ending with him putting the mixture into two wooden half-barrels and covering them with cloth, storing them in what he thinks might be a corner of the kitchen least likely to be disturbed placing them each down with a sign that says “Short Mead in Progress, do not disturb.”
Once the mead is taken care of and stored in a corner of the kitchen, he’ll head to this so-called “History Club” to see what on earth that is.
After experiencing….that….he’s going to actually eat something and give himself a bit of a break before auditions, making some notes on his notes while he eats something light in the Cafeteria. Eventually, he’ll get up and head to the Choir Room to get ready for auditions, which is sure to be an experience (and can be played out or handwaved as desired.)
After auditions, he’ll congratulate them all on a job well done (no matter the actual quality,) and informs them that the results will be posted tomorrow morning.
Finally, finished with the very long day, he’ll retreat to Broadhurst, where he’ll settle at his desk again to go through all his papers for the day before bed.]

Peregrine can be found in the following places trying to scribble down what supplies she finds: the kitchen, the weight room, concessions, the scene shop, and the costume shop. This process takes largely the whole day, as there's a lot of room to cover, but she's determined. She's mostly muttering to herself throughout the process, wondering what could be useful? occasionally, or something along those lines.
She stays particularly long in the scene shop, examining the various power tools. She pauses when she gets to the mechanical lift, snorting. ]
That's a safety hazard.
[ ...And then continuing to like, sort drills or whatnot.
Later at night, she can be found in the gym. You'll probably hear her before you see her, because with the acoustics her heavy breathing echoes, as she runs up and down the bleachers, pausing only to touch both the floor and the top of the wall. You may also find her in the midst of a whole-ass routine, going from squats to bench step-ups to bench triceps dips. She doesn't seem, at any point, to be willing or ready to stop. ]
Scene Shop
[Comes Varian's voice from across the way where he's actually rummaging through some of the other tools. Not the more heavy-duty stuff, but what he's more used to- hammers, wrenches, things like that.]
But I guess the only more obvious way to point out that rule- [She knows the one.] -would be to stock the place with actual, you know. Weapons.

Except sandwiches! Sandwiches are easy, right? Just slap some meat, cheese, and condiments on some bread and voila! Too bad hers looks... a little messy. But she seem proud of it, and she's just about done putting the top bread slice onto the pile of ham and cheese when she spots Peregrine puttering around, writing something down. Curious, she speaks up.]

What brings her here now is just that; a desire for something physical. So, she ventures into the gym, only to find she isn't alone. Cassandra spends about a minute watching Peregrine go from squats to bench step-ups. Curious; admiring.]

lyreguitar he'd swiped from the music room from where he'd left it lying next to his bed. He slings it over his shoulders on its strap and sneaks out of the room as quietly as he can to avoid waking the less infuriatingly early-birds, and heads off to meet up with Eurydice, intending to spend most of the day following her around, as before.Which he does, but being himself he does happen to wander off occasionally, either to give her some space or just because something caught his eye. Like the showers in the men's locker room, where he spends some time standing - fully clothed - in one of the stalls, considering the handles on the wall carefully before turning one and proceeding to drench himself in scalding water. He yelps, alarmed, and leaps back out, watching the water stream from the shower head and looking both startled and impressed.
Later, still damp from his shower experience, he settles down in the music room, playing a song on his guitar and humming along. He has a sheet of paper with him, propped up on one of the music stands, and occasionally he stops to jot something down - anyone who comes close enough to look will see a combination of guitar tabs, traditional musical notation, and lyrics, the lattermost of which are mostly crossed out and written over multiple times.
After that, he finds himself drawn to History Club, curious about just who might show up to actually try to teach them in this place that's supposedly a school and what they might learn, given that apparently some of them are here from completely different worlds. He mills about, slightly early and pacing around the scene shop and looking at the poster on the wall. ]
Who do you think that is? [ he asks, pointing at the hairy ape-thing on the left. ] Why are they fighting President Abraham?

The distinguished silver wig he's chosen for the father is easy enough, once he's gotten the hang of the electric curling tools, making tight, old-fashioned curls on the sides of the head and pulling the rest into a ponytail that he also curls.
The wig that he's chosen for the daughter, though, is long and blonde, and once he has it pinned into place he's struck with longing and pauses, running his hands through the cascade of hair and letting it glide through his fingers like water.
Eventually, after the "history club" debacle, he winds up going to the kitchen for a much-needed tea and a sandwich, which he takes in the cafeteria.
While he eats, however, he's finally looking through the "yearbook" that they were given on the first day. Occasionally, the "fact" included about someone he's gotten to know will warrant a little smile out of him, until he reaches his own profile. Something there seems to unsettle him, as he sets down his sandwich, bite abandoned, to stare at it with furrowed brow.]
