Week One

[Yesterday, everyone woke up in a strange place and realized that they'd been kidnapped, and also that everyone else around them may or may not be kinnies? Wow, what a weird escalation of kin drama! Given what some people have seen of Spongebob's freaky arm thing, though, maybe it's not that at all?

Your Assistant Director, Hester, showed off her stuff and immediately had her life threatened by Lumpy Space Princess, who got her life threatened right back. Maybe you should keep that in mind if you decide to pay Hester any more visits! She won't be making another public appearance this week, but as promised, she'll be available for visits and consultation in the Principal's Office during business hours.

If you don't want to chat with Hester, there's always the school to explore! Some of you might also be receiving mysterious coins next to your bedside this week - those must be useful for something, right? There's lots to do, and you all seem like a group who can make your own fun, so enjoy your first week of school!]

Ah, Madame Elisabeth. Please, there's no rush. Take your time.

[With that, she gets out the sheet paper she found, and takes a deep breath as she finishes.

Guitars were like weird zithers. One hand apart from the other. She can do this. It's just one of the greatest composers of Imperial Vienna. No need to be too nervous.]

I'm going to play Bach for my audition.

[Another deep breath, and she starts to slowly play. It's definitely hesitant, given how she's just not used to playing a guitar. Not quite in rhythm. But she is definitely doing her best to play it, to get her fingers used to being positioned on the neck. The plucking part, at least, is no trouble.]

[Salieri listens to her play, politely, with interest, and when she finishes, he smiles]

That was lovely, Madame Elisabeth.

Thank you...I intend to practice more as well, so I hope I shall improve my technique with time, monsieur.

I don't doubt it for a moment. However, I should ask...do you wish to play the guitar or the zither in the production?

Of course, monsieur, I wish to play the zither, but so far, I've not yet seen one. I may have little choice but to play the guitar.

Perhaps...if you wish it, I could ask Madame Hester for a zither. She's been accommodating before.

I can see what I can do, then. Hopefully, she will be willing to help.

She was certainly accommodating when I asked for supplies earlier in the week. I cannot see why she would refuse a request for a zither.
