Week One
[Yesterday, everyone woke up in a strange place and realized that they'd been kidnapped, and also that everyone else around them may or may not be kinnies? Wow, what a weird escalation of kin drama! Given what some people have seen of Spongebob's freaky arm thing, though, maybe it's not that at all?
Your Assistant Director, Hester, showed off her stuff and immediately had her life threatened by Lumpy Space Princess, who got her life threatened right back. Maybe you should keep that in mind if you decide to pay Hester any more visits! She won't be making another public appearance this week, but as promised, she'll be available for visits and consultation in the Principal's Office during business hours.
If you don't want to chat with Hester, there's always the school to explore! Some of you might also be receiving mysterious coins next to your bedside this week - those must be useful for something, right? There's lots to do, and you all seem like a group who can make your own fun, so enjoy your first week of school!]

(( OOC: This will be the last mod post for this week! Feel free to start submitting regains for any threads that aren't with Hester. Remember, song threads mean an extra coin! This is a peace week, so get all that CR while you can! ))

He sighs.]
I had been noticing some...unfamiliar aches, these last few days. Unfamiliar surroundings, I thought. Unfamiliar wrinkles, on my face. Well, unfamiliar lighting.
But this... This book here calls me near a full seventeen years older than I am. And if I am near fifty, that would explain the physical difference, but... Why can I remember nothing of those years?
no subject
[Seventeen years is pretty extreme though. She peers at the book, then at the man, and back again.]
Many have made note of something similar, but not nearly a gap as large as that.

Unfortunate it is that I'm the special one, I suppose.
[It brings him some measure of peace to believe that at least this means Lucy is likely safe at home, and not stranded alone in their honeymoon cabin. Were they blessed with children? Is there some piece of him there to keep her company, while he's trapped here?
Those questions are too big to give voice to, however, so they remain inside.]
What about you, Miss Tendo? Is there anything strange about your entry?
no subject
As for me, my age is incorrect as well. It was currently May where I was. I was not due to turn seventeen until July. And yet... [She taps the corner of the yearbook.]
This says otherwise.
no subject
[He looks down at the yearbook, even though it's not turned to her page right now.]
So for you, it's a matter of months, then. It isn't possible... The missing time is how long it took that woman to get us here?
[But why would it be so much different for him? Was it similar for Her Majesty and Maestro Salieri?]
no subject
[She shrugs.]
Besides, I'm almost certain she said the process was quick when her Wizard did it.
no subject
[And his poor Lucy...]
Suppose the fastest way to find out would be to ask, wouldn't it.
no subject
She said we were assigned our dorms based on traits we share, though. That's... something?
no subject
[He thinks about his own roommates, and their room title, petting the whiskers around his mouth thoughtfully.]
An ambassador is someone who represents their homeland abroad. We have Prince Angus, who would certainly fit that, but I don't know about the rest - and I certainly wouldn't consider myself a diplomat, by any means.
no subject
[Maya taps at her chin.]
You haven't spent any time away from home, or anything like that?
no subject
When I was a boy, my grandfather lived out on a farm, and I'd go visit in the summers. And of course, I'd just been on holiday to the seaside with my Lucy. But I've never left England a day in my life.
no subject
Besides, Ambassador might be a title, but I don't know that we can say the same about Broadhurst, Rogers, or Longacre. Those all seem like names.
no subject
[Broadhurst sounds like a hospital and Longacre sounds like a farm.]
no subject
Normally, that might be helpful. But considering the fact that many of us are from vastly different worlds entirely, I get the feeling it may not be that easy.
no subject
[Does this frustrate him? Absolutely.]

Truly. Their behavior is already shameful enough.
[But, because he cares about her-]
Are you holding up alright, pet?
