WEEK 6
[Six weeks later, and eleven performers remain.
The opera house is much the same when Monday morning dawns this week. It seems you've truly gone as high as you can go - there is no fifth floor, and no sign of any other new areas. The air has grown colder, like perhaps someone failed to adjust the heating for the winter weather that's supposedly happening just outside. Javert and Astarte's stars are still firmly affixed to their doors; it seems you might have to try a little harder to learn their secrets.
Things seem to be building. Have a good week, everyone.]
[ooc: don't forget to submit your memories and check into the roll call!]

As if by some miracle of
bread jesusGod, there is also some macaroni and cheese to go with it. Granted, it's from a box, but it also looks more pleasing than your other Raoul-made option. If you catch him after he's all done cooking, you'll find him in the dining room, quietly picking at his portion and deep in thought.]cooking!

cw: underage drinking??
Later, towards the evening, she can be found in the bar. She has a bottle of whiskey and a glass in hand, though she hasn't taken a drink yet (thank god). She mutters to herself as she looks at the bottle and pours.]
Bad idea, bad idea... Fuck it.

He starts by checking his star to see if he can move it, perhaps he'll have a look under his bed or around his dresser in a bit. Feel free to ask him what he's doing while he's at all this, or just stop by for a chat, his door is literally open. ]

Investigations/OTA
[This week's memory didn't affect Seymour as much as the previous two did. Sure, he did remember that he kind of murdered the closest thing he had to a dad, but, as morbid as it was, the thought of "well, he was going to die anyway" did ease his pain a little. And the fact that he's officially becoming numb to murder doesn't hurt, either.
It still concerned him that he officially had a body count. One that's not just a result of accidentally ending the world. He felt like he should talk to the other actors about this, but there is no good way to mention. Especially after remembering Mr. Mushnik's reaction to finding out he was a murderer.
One nice thing about just being numb to the memory is that he could investigate without worrying about things like despair. Putting on a jacket, he spends most of his investigations in the chapel. While he's mostly going there to see the possible origin of the tuning fork (which he still doesn't know that Astarte used during the murder), he figures that it can't help but do a thorough search of the place. Just to see if anything else off happened or if he can find any clues involving this room.
At some point today you'll actually find him in the garden not being paranoid! He seems a little shaky tending to the plants, since he hasn't done it in awhile, but at least it seems like his only hobby hasn't been completely destroyed yet.
Perhaps unusually you'll also see him digging up some succulents in the garden as well. He may or may not be getting some plants for he Balladeer.]
Evening
[Later that day you can find him in the kitchen, idly reading the cookbook he found in his room the previous week as he gets ingredients out of the fridge. Judging by the cookware and ingredients, it seems like he's going to try to make some sort of meat pie.
Oh dear god, he's actually going to try cooking.]

Investigation/OTA
Anyway! In the morning she's gonna join the crowd and search through her room to find any sign of a previous occupant, starting with looking... under the bed, let's say!
Then, later during the day, she heads to the library to continue writing her
distractionplay. She's finally moved past the research phase and is actually making a clear outline. If your character comes in, she might ask them for input!]So... plays about vampires aren't overdone, right?

TUESDAY
MOTIVE: CLOSE EVERY DOOR TO ME
Meeting in the lobby, I've got something to tell you. Everyone get downstairs right -
[Before he can finish his thought, the slamming of doors echoes around the opera house. Those stairwell doors that were opening every week like clockwork? Those are shut and locked once again, regardless of who was on which side of them. There's a sound that could be a muffled curse from the Balladeer, and then silence.
Two hours of silence. He won't be in the box office during this time.
At noon, as per usual, he speaks again. His tone is duller than before, and he sounds like he's reading from something:]
Some of you are locked in with the...person spying for Management. If no one else kills by the end of the week, they've been ordered to pick someone on their floor off. [sigh] Remember, no sleeping outside your dressing rooms.
no subject
Shortly after it gets announced (after kicking the door several times for good measure, which accomplishes nothing but giving her a sore foot), Natalie is walking around the second floor, peeking her head into each room as she goes along.]
Anybody else here? Please don't let me be alone on this floor...

Tuesday
Hello...? Is everyone alright?
[When no answer comes, he heads out to the lobby, where the Balladeer had probably wanted them to congregate.]
...Where is everyone?
[After the noon announcement, however, he's on edge - not for himself, but for the nine people on the floors above him. He'll try knocking on the door to the second floor stairwell in the hopes that someone might hear him and...try to give him an update through the wall. Be alright, guys, please be alright. The sleeping rule is absolutely ludicrous and he knows it, even if he's not in danger.]

Beyond that? He can be found pacing the hallways and trying to figure out who else is up here with him, and otherwise in the art studio, sketchbook open on a table – looks like he's writing something, god only knows what, and he'll close the book if he's joined in there.
As soon as intermission hits, though...well, at least they got the bar.]

[Winslow rushes to the door to ferociously body slam into it. No sell. He's broken free of a bricked-in wall, he can do it again, right? He rushes into again with a hard slam again...again no sell. Winslow soon just...crumples to the floor, giving a defeated yell.
Trapped. Again.
Later in the afternoon in the west wing he hasn't given up, going from room to room, hoping a hidden way may have popped out. He calls out to those above through his broken electronic voice.]

THIRD FLOOR PARTY FLOOR
Anna rushes around the third floor to see who she was trapped with. Please don't let it be Hans

The Balladeer seems to appear entirely out of nowhere - the stairwell doors are still definitely locked. But he's in the lobby now, dragging along some kind of miniature booth behind him. It's constructed like the merchandise booth downstairs, but smaller, with wheels for easy portability, and with an actual functioning door. It's painted with red-and-white stripes for some reason, but a hastily-made sign reading Mobile Box Office has been stuck to the door.]
Hey! So, I thought - and Management agreed - that it wasn't very fair to you guys that you couldn't reach me this week. I mean, that's the whole point of me being here, right? Being available? [He chuckles a little, seeming a little on the punchy side of tired.] So I spent last night putting this together! I'm gonna just set up here for a few hours, come by if you need anything. There's no cameras in here, since there's not any in the real office either. Come by if you need to talk. Or anything.
[.......] Anything at all.
[The inside of the booth, clearly visible when he opens the door to step inside, has an incongruous amount of blankets and pillows for a box office. He's also brought a cooler, which he'll nod to.]
That's my lunch, so don't touch it while I'm out.
[He will be out several times during each floor's designated visiting time. Using the bathroom, or occasionally just vanishing. Second floor gets the mornings, third floor gets the afternoons, and fourth floor gets the evenings. To make up for it, he's evidently extended his hours on the first floor - the box office door is propped open, and remains that way into the night.]

Hello? Is anyone there? Can you hear me?
[For floor two folks, she can also be found wandering between the media room, library, garden and tea room throughout the day. At least they have food and water, even if she feels exhausted. If she sees either Seymour or Jezebel, she'll raise a hand in greeting.]

First Floor what's good
Oh God. He's making care packages for y'all. But how is he going to get them up to the higher floors? He has an idea that will hopefully work.
Later, he can be found by the second floor stairwell listening for anyone else. If anybody wants to pop by and visit him, even ghosts, that's a thing people can do.]
yo third floor!!
Alternatively, you can find him in his favorite room the paint room where he's once again painting. This time seems to be uh... is that supposed to be an ocean of lava?? It sure looks like it. He seems to be having fun though, even if he's not quite as wide awake as he could be.
But perhaps the best room on this floor is the bakery. The Pirate King is still a little wary of the modern devices, but he's managed to get the coffee maker to work and he's making a lot of coffee. If you don't find him in there, he'll wave you down and hand you a cup!]
Perhaps we can get the Balladeer to deliver some to our less fortunate companions, what do you think?

For both the first and third floor, he eventually tries to unease his nerves by checking up on them. So he knocks on the doors so see if anyone's there.]
Hey, I'm just making sure you guys are okay over there.
[For those on his floor, he's going to spend most of his day either in the Tea Room drinking what is frankly way too much tea, or in the Media Room, watching various movies to get his mind off the fact that he's so horribly tired right now. It gives plenty of time for Winslow to think of that confrontation with Swan...when he plunged the knife in both of them. When neither of them died.
Is that why he was still alive? Because he was under contract? When things are his darkest, he turns to music.
Which is why he's at the music room, putting on a performance with a guitar. He's gotten used to his strange electronic voice.]
City's breaking down on a camel's back
They just let it go because they don't know lack
So all you fill the streets, it's appealing to see
You won't get out the county because you're bad and free
[And Operation Break Down Door failed. But Winslow isn't one to take things lying down. So commence his earlier idea of Blowing Shit to Kingdom Come.
When he's not looking through the storage room, taking inventory of batteries, ropes, and other potentially fatal electronics, he's up at the stairwell, talking to the second floor people.]
If anyone has anything they'll miss in the storage room, speak up now.
