[Six weeks later, and eleven performers remain.

The opera house is much the same when Monday morning dawns this week. It seems you've truly gone as high as you can go - there is no fifth floor, and no sign of any other new areas. The air has grown colder, like perhaps someone failed to adjust the heating for the winter weather that's supposedly happening just outside. Javert and Astarte's stars are still firmly affixed to their doors; it seems you might have to try a little harder to learn their secrets.

You're dating Anna, right? Has she not talked about her sister at all?

Uh, yeah. Elsa's the Queen of Arendelle.

[Duh.

Also he has to impress Elsa in order to be allowed to date Anna]

Right. And she has magical powers.

[pennyless]

Magical powers.

[Pardon the deadpan.]

She can create ice and brought an overnight winter to her kingdom.

[ That's magic, bro. ]

...So? That's not magic, that's superpowers.

[Duh.]

[ Hans kind of just stares. ]

So. Magic.

[pennyless]

No. Superpowers.

I know a guy who says he can do things like that.

[trettende]

She's a lot more dangerous than just some guy.

[pennyless]

Uh, he froze the entire city's water supply.

...And wanted me to fight him in a park. With kids in it.

[trettende]

Picture that, in an entire kingdom, and with about five feet of snow, overnight.

Trust me, Elsa's magic almost froze her kingdom solid. It's magic.

[pennyless]

I mean, I'm not saying that's not impressive.

[...Normal people wouldn't use the word impressive there, Billy.]

I'm just saying that's superpowers, not magic. If I wanted to, I could probably build a weather machine to do the same thing.

[trettende]

I'd like to see that.

[ Hans chuckles. ]

So you're saying that kind of thing is normal for you?

[pennyless]

I mean, there's plenty of "normal" people, too, but... Yeah.

[trettende]

And don't you think it's possible the Management might have "super powers"? That sounds more likely than a machine to me.

[pennyless]

Uh, because there's a difference between ice powers and reality-bending? I built a ray that froze time and a ray that could transmit matter through space, but somebody with those powers would be...

[trettende]

Would be...?

[pennyless]

Totally broken? Completely unstoppable?

Honestly, if Management has powers like that, then there's... We've got no chance of beating them.

[trettende]

Well we'd better hope there's a machine then.

[ But Hans kind of doubts it. ]

[pennyless]

Yeah, or we'd better get used to just getting brought back here and "reset" until it goes the way that Management wants. And...probably not even remembering.

[trettende]

Well that's... creepy.

[pennyless]

Yeah, exactly. That's why Reality-warping powers would be pretty much unstoppable.

[Billy looks over the bar, and then gets up and reaches over to bring over a bottle of rum (of a brand that has nothing to do with captains), pouring a splash in his cup.

And then a significantly bigger splash.]

[trettende]

[ He feels ya there, buddy. Hans downs the rest of his seltzer water and offers his empty glass to Billy. Give a guy a refill, would ya? ]

So, a blowtorch, that's your latest project, right?

[inforapenny]

[Well he'd already set the rum down to grab the soda gun again, so when he sees the glass held out he looks at it for a moment.

Then pours about two fingers of run into Hans' glass.]

Yeah. It's almost done, but I ran into a problem because I couldn't find compressed air and now I can't find a way to refill my compressed air can that I made.

You, uh. You want some coke with that?

[trettende]

[ Aw, see? Look, Hans can even be civil enough to share a drink with his closest-thing-to-an-arch-nemesis. He takes the glass back and is about to just drink it when Billy offers him soda. ]

Sure, why not?

[ It'll help keep him awake too, that's always good. ]

Does the bar use compressed air at all? Like with the dispensers?
