[Six weeks later, and eleven performers remain.

The opera house is much the same when Monday morning dawns this week. It seems you've truly gone as high as you can go - there is no fifth floor, and no sign of any other new areas. The air has grown colder, like perhaps someone failed to adjust the heating for the winter weather that's supposedly happening just outside. Javert and Astarte's stars are still firmly affixed to their doors; it seems you might have to try a little harder to learn their secrets.

Is it truly so vile? Why in the world would the cookbook I found use it so often if no one actually wanted to eat it?

I mean... Can you honestly say the sandwich cake thing was a culinary masterpiece? Also, I guess it's like Twinkies. Some people like them even if they're horrifying.

[dechagny]

I thought it tasted fine, and looked rather interesting. This is quite literally meat that has been turned into a...a slime.

...What is a Twinkie?

Yeah, that is a pretty accurate description.

A twinkie is like... A pastry is a nicer name than it deserves, but kind of like that, except disgusting.

What exactly makes it disgusting, though?

[In his experience pastries are pretty cool]

It's really greasy and fatty and poorly made, basically.

...That does not sound like a pastry of any level.

[robitussin]

Pastry is the only thing I can kind of justify comparing it to? It's kind of in a category all of it's own.

You do realize that this makes the future sound positively terrifying, if you cannot even properly identify your food.

[robitussin]

Eh. The future is terrifying for a lot of reasons, but that's not really one of them.

[dechagny]

Unless war is a neverending constant and monstrous dictators have conquered the planet, I don't know what else could be so terrifying as to put purposefully dubious substances into your body on a regular basis.

[robitussin]

You haven't seen Honey Boo Boo. You don't know true pain.

...With a name like that, I don't know if I want to.
