Week Three

[Last week, some shit went down! Salieri's scene went off without a hitch, but the good mood didn't last. The first motive was a bit of a doozy, and yet it didn't even have anything to do with the eventual accidental death of Mumble Happyfeet! At least Sissi was already pretty much dating Death anyway, right? She's probably fine, wherever she is.

This week, new menus have been posted in the cafeteria. But, more importantly, it seems that other new information has emerged. Everyone wakes on Sunday with some new memories - or are they old ones? - floating around in their heads. Maybe there was something to your discussions of time travel after all. Maybe there was someting to the Wizard's knowledge of the future.

Regardless, you're still stuck in here. At least there's some new places to explore this week. Maybe you'll find something helpful.]

Choir Room

[Varian finds himself making his way back towards the previous wing of the school as the day wears on closer to evening. It's been busy for him, both emotionally and...physically, one of his hands bandaged up to show for it. He'd considered just retreating to the dorm for some rest, but knowing he'd be going back to that empty bunk again...he decides to check up on that slow music he hears coming from the choir room. He recognizes it immediately, after all.

He hovers in the doorway for a moment, listening to Salieri as he plays. Varian is an amateur at best when it comes to playing the piano, and even he can tell something is subtly off about what he's hearing. And poor Salieri...he'd been acting as a pillar for everyone in a way he probably was never usually expected to.

Varian doesn't know what's on his mind, but he wants to be there for him too.]

You know, I'm used to seeing this kind of sight.

[Varian speaks up as he makes it to the side of the piano, nodding towards the papers that had been tossed aside from Salieri's previous attempts.]

Idea after idea, scrapped. Nothing seems to be coming out right...until eventually, you come across that one idea.

[He pulls up one of the knocked over chairs, moving to sit in it backwards.]

It's kinda frustrating, trying to find it. But you eventually do.

Computer Lab

[There's already so much for Varian to process about this new wing. Cars, TVs, technology he's never before borne witness to suddenly just. Existing, blowing his mind in a hundred different ways.

Needless to say, when he comes across the computer lab...he stops in the doorway, staring in at the computers on the desks with eyes wide and owlish. He sees Rina not far in sitting at one of the computers, but something seems...different than what Spongebob was watching. That was a sort of moving picture box, but Rina seems to be interacting with these herself?

Varian makes his way closer, trying to get a better look.]

Are these..."Tee-vees"? Why are there so many of them?

[Angus slowly pulls Connor out from under the desk.]

[Connor allows himself to be pulled out from under the desk before bringing a hand up to scrub at his face again.]

You're right. I promised Peregrine I'd try.

That's right. The fight is not over yet.

[ Janis is sort of. Walking by, a camcorder in her hand for absolutely no reason don't worry about it, when. ]

... I understand why most of these books are here?

[Spongebob smiles as he settles in. He doesn't quite know what he means by what Farrah's saying, but rest assured if he knew he'd feel truly honored.]

You know I wonder why they didn't let us go here earlier. It's really nice to hang out like this after all!

[Maya glances up at the camcorder and only looks mildly perturbed. Mostly because it's a camcorder and not a smartphone in her face. Thanks for the prep, Nana.]

Which one are you unsure about?

[ She is at least visibly not currently filming. Or at the very least stopped for this conversation. ]

I get swords, I get the books about where swords go, but uh. Planning a big game hunt, there?

[brokeforgood]

[She pauses, glancing around the Cafeteria to see who else may be around. Then she turns to Conner, a serious expression spread across her face.]

I think she killed me.

Yeah. I'm sad, not broken.

[He stands up, leaning back against the computer desk.]

Or, well. I guess you could say I'm broken too.

I said I was sorry, too. A-and I was --- I was so sorry. I wanted to be better. But she didn't say anything. She just kept--- [Farrah stops talking, and lets out a sob.]

[mayavericks]

Ah. That. [She scratches her cheek, looking sheepish.]

If I told you, I don't think you would believe me.

Really? Why the fuck would she do that?

[He pauses what he was doing. Who the fuck just murders someone?? Especially someone as good as Farrah. He's gonna duel Riley Williams if he ever meets her. Like, full-as sword duel. Maya can judge.]

...Maya, I have a pet raccoon.

[He remarks, as if that's enough to absolve her of any insanity as he moves to take a seat across from her.]

I think I can probably handle it.

[alchemistake]

Oh! H-heeey Maya...

[He's bleeding, please help.

He'll at least move to sit down because, Maya might notice he's...looking really green around the gills. Like "I might pass out at literally any moment" kind of green.]

auto shop

[ There's new places around. So, Peregrine's investigating. By virtue of Varian being in the auto shop for most of the day? Peregrine runs into him, while he's investigating it. ]

Wow. [ She clicks her tongue, looking around. ] You look like a kid in a candy store.

[mayavericks]

[She looks at Varian, then back down at the book. It's not even close to the same level, but...]

The tournament I am partaking in is... Hosted by a giraffe.

[mayavericks]

Keep your eyes on me.

[Don't look at your hand anymore than you already have, Varian. She can't handle head trauma as well as finger trauma.

Also don't mind her reaching down to pull his hand away. She keeps the pressure on as best as she can as she examines the wound and gets to work.]

Magic- no, not that- well, yes that, but that's my second question-

I'm talking about that machine!

[He gestures to the TV itself, looking equal parts amazed and utterly bewildered.]

[OH...Farrah, you're not looking so good over there...

Varian frowns, though he doesn't get up to approach just yet. Mostly because he's not sure she wants company looking the way she does.]

Hey...are you okay?

[brokeforgood]

I guess she thought the squad would be better off without Epic Cheerleader Fail's star on the team. [She watches him carefully, waiting for a reaction to that.]

They all wanted me off the team. But the school board wouldn't let them.

dance studio

[comeandfindme]

[ The gym is her usual place for workouts. But the gym's getting stale. Peregrine wants to be outside.

So, she decides to try the dance studio. Maybe that can work for some more...relaxed exercises. Peregrine, generally, seems to be more that. More relaxed.

She should've expected to see Maya. Her eyes catch on the dull sword. ]

Soo. This is your normal routine?

[brokeforgood]

No. I'm dying [She says, a touch of dramatics to her voice, which does sound a little strained. She only realizes how fucked up that is to say, after she's already flopped backwards onto the bed again.]

Conner was right. Shouldn't have mixed alcohols.
