Week Three

[Last week, some shit went down! Salieri's scene went off without a hitch, but the good mood didn't last. The first motive was a bit of a doozy, and yet it didn't even have anything to do with the eventual accidental death of Mumble Happyfeet! At least Sissi was already pretty much dating Death anyway, right? She's probably fine, wherever she is.

This week, new menus have been posted in the cafeteria. But, more importantly, it seems that other new information has emerged. Everyone wakes on Sunday with some new memories - or are they old ones? - floating around in their heads. Maybe there was something to your discussions of time travel after all. Maybe there was someting to the Wizard's knowledge of the future.

Regardless, you're still stuck in here. At least there's some new places to explore this week. Maybe you'll find something helpful.]

A concert and... her classmates? Was she finally making friends with them? And the thing she put in front of her face--

"Yeah, I would love that!"


When Rina awakens she doesn't think of the dream as anything odd. She doesn't even consider it could be a memory just yet. But she is feeling... happy? And inspired by it? Despite the weekend's events, this little dream makes her feel warm.

She goes to have breakfast but this time she takes a bunch of paper from her room and some pens with her. As she eats in the cafeteria she's busy drawing several faces, each one taking up an entire piece of paper of their own. She's pretty focused on it!

Later on in the day she realizes the west hall is open and goes exploring... and very quickly finds the computer lab.

...

Yeah she's in here for the rest of the day. And probably all week. She might have to be dragged away come bed time because she'll sleep in here if you let her. Even if they're older than she is it's still a comfort to have access to a computer again. ]

Computer Lab

[There's already so much for Varian to process about this new wing. Cars, TVs, technology he's never before borne witness to suddenly just. Existing, blowing his mind in a hundred different ways.

Needless to say, when he comes across the computer lab...he stops in the doorway, staring in at the computers on the desks with eyes wide and owlish. He sees Rina not far in sitting at one of the computers, but something seems...different than what Spongebob was watching. That was a sort of moving picture box, but Rina seems to be interacting with these herself?

Varian makes his way closer, trying to get a better look.]

Are these..."Tee-vees"? Why are there so many of them?

[ Rina was just playing some solitaire when she hears Varian. She looks up and shakes her head... before putting up a piece of paper with a happy face drawn on it in front of her own. ]

No, these are computers. You can do all sorts of things with them!

[alchemistake]

[Varian blinks, faltering a little when she suddenly holds up the paper.

That's...cute...

He'll move to sit down next to her, glad she can't see the absolutely dumb look on his face right now since she probably can't see through the paper.]

You know about them? What can you do, exactly?

[ She changes the paper to show her enthusiasm. ]

Mm! I know lots about them! I love computers!

[ And then lowers it as little below her nose so she can actually look at the screen. ]

They can do all sorts of things! You can write with them, make art, play games... and if they're connected to the internet you can talk to people all over the world!

Cafeteria

Whatcha doin', drawing faces to make at the wizard? Gonna make Hester send them to him, or something? ...Good idea, throw in some written insults too. In small words, he seems real dumb.

[ Rina jumps when she hears LSP and on instinct puts one of the faces in front of her own. ]

L-Lumpy-san! You surprised me!

[sugarlumps]

Yeah, you should probably pay more attention to your surroundings.

[should she be more careful not to startle people, no, clearly it's the children who are wrong]

[She's gonna kind of try to look around the paper.]

You should draw, like, the wizard's stupid metal face with a bunch of stink lines coming off it, if you're sending him stuff. Cause he stinks.

O-Oh, um... I'm not sending him anything...

[ She switches to a different face. ]

I'm using these for myself...

Cafeteria

Oh, hey - are you an artist?

[He'll just sit down across the table from her. The Balladeer doesn't know Rina all that well yet - she seems kinda quiet? But that's even more reason to talk to her. They should all be pulling together.]

Mm?

[ Rina looks up from her work, and immediately feels a little embarrassed, shyly trying to hide some of her work. ]

N-Not really, though I doodle sometimes...

That's fun. I've never drawn a thing in my life.

[Oh, uh...too much?]

computer lab

[disharmonizes]

[Discord sees Rina sitting in the computer lab when she just gets there, actually, when he's out exploring on his own. Again when he heads back. And... again, when he's doubling back for something else, a little while later.

This time, he'll step into the room, leaning over to look at the computer.]

There's not some sort of hypnosis program running, trapping you in the room, is there?

[ Rina's playing a game at the time Discord comes in but his voice makes her jump and put a surprised face up in front of her face. ]

Discord-san?!

[ And then, realizing what he asked, she shakes her head. ]

N-No, I've just been having fun...

[disharmonizes]

Ah, an actual productive use of our time here, excellent!

[No sarcasm, this is genuine.]

We have been horribly starved of entertainment here. So, anything good?

Cafeteria

Good morning!

[Elle takes a seat across from Rina, smiling.]

I'm sorry we haven't really talked yet. I'm Elle!

Oh...!

[ She looks up and reflexively covers up her drawings with her arms. Like a little kid who's not ready to show off what she's working yet. ]

H-Hello...! I'm Rina! Um... Balladeer-san and Orpheus-san talked about you before.

[whatyouwant]

I hope it was good things.

[Elle grins.]

What are you working on?

computer lab

[ That afternoon, Eurydice also makes her way to the computer lab. She winds up standing in the front door for some time, with absolutely no clue what to do in here.

Eventually, she'll swallow her pride, and take a computer a few seats away from Rina, looking at the young girl every so often and trying to imitate what she's doing. Eurydice taps the keyboard and clicks the mouse some, but nothing works. (She has forgotten to turn the thing on.)

So she leans over, and asks: ]

Hey. Um. Is this one broken?

Hm? Broken?

[ She looks over, tilting her head. Is it broken? She hasn't checked them all out yet so maybe one or two are. It doesn't even occur to her yet that Eurydice just didn't turn it on.

Getting up and walking over she looks at it a bit longer before crouching down and pressing the on switch to make sure it still works. She's relieved as it turns on. ]

Oh-- there we go!

[ She looks to Eurydice and puts one of her smiling faces up. ]

No, it's still working. But it'll take a little bit to start back up.

[ Eurydice stares at the booting-up machine, absolutely fascinated. ]

...Huh. Do you use these a lot?

[When Spongebob sees Rina doodling, he is of course instantly interested in seeing what she's doing.

He takes a quick look and he's just instantly charmed by these adorable face doodles.]

These are so cute! What are they for?

[ She's not as startled as she was earlier when others asked her about it (mostly because she's gotten a little used to it) but she does still feel a little flustered when asked. ]

Oh, Spongebob-san! They're... um... I'm making a "Rina-chan Board"!
