Week Three
[Last week, some shit went down! Salieri's scene went off without a hitch, but the good mood didn't last. The first motive was a bit of a doozy, and yet it didn't even have anything to do with the eventual accidental death of Mumble Happyfeet! At least Sissi was already pretty much dating Death anyway, right? She's probably fine, wherever she is.
This week, new menus have been posted in the cafeteria. But, more importantly, it seems that other new information has emerged. Everyone wakes on Sunday with some new memories - or are they old ones? - floating around in their heads. Maybe there was something to your discussions of time travel after all. Maybe there was someting to the Wizard's knowledge of the future.
Regardless, you're still stuck in here. At least there's some new places to explore this week. Maybe you'll find something helpful.]
Sunday | Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday
(( Be sure to submit your memory regains and your AC for this week! Hester's office hours and the merch booth also remain available! ))

[Don't look at your hand anymore than you already have, Varian. She can't handle head trauma as well as finger trauma.
Also don't mind her reaching down to pull his hand away. She keeps the pressure on as best as she can as she examines the wound and gets to work.]

[Varian sways a little before actually taking Maya's advice as more of an order than a suggestion, focusing on staring at her- or maybe past her, his eyes are a little glazed over- while she works on his hand.
Fortunately, it's not very deep at all. It's just in such a place that gets moved a lot, so of course it won't stop bleeding.]

Try to keep your hand still for the time being. Just long enough for the blood to clot.

[He brings his other hand up to the side of his head, holding it there for a moment while he tries to keep his left as still as possible.]
Accidentally caught it on something working in the auto shop...guess I should've been a little more careful.
[You know with a CAR]
no subject
Please be more careful. I don't want there to be anymore accidents, Varian.
[And with that she goes to fill a glass of water.]
Lean back against the bed, with your head against the wall. You need to regain your senses before you start moving around.

Also probably for the best he didn't investigate as thoroughly as he could have, considering.]
Ugh...I will. Guess I'm lucky this place opened up at the same time.

[Varian brains himself on Monday of Week 3. A trial begins.]
Did you at least find something interesting?
no subject
[Never mind his issues or his now-bandaged hand, Maya just said the magic word.]
I found a "car" in the auto shop! That's what Peregrine said it was. LSP mentioned cars but she didn't really explain what they were? ...not an automaton, by the way.
It's more like a steel carriage...without horses.
no subject
Oh, of course. You wouldn't be familiar with them, would you?
What did you think?
no subject
[Believe him, he tried to push it a little. No dice.]
Why is there a car in here, though? It's not like it can go anywhere, even if it could move...there's no room to even leave the garage.

There was one, at the far end of the room. Probably big enough to get the car through, now that I think about it. It definitely won't budge though, I already tried.

[But Varian also is learning a lot about the American school system he would not have known otherwise, lately.]
...think anybody'd be too mad if I took it apart?
no subject
I doubt anyone would care. Though if you're truly concerned, you should speak with Hester.
NO MY HTML
[Does he want to though, is the question...]
I'll check up on it eventually probably. If it's not going to work to begin with then it probably wouldn't do us any good in one piece, but I'd like to study it as it is first.
I'm trying to figure out if I could rebuild something similar back home.
no subject
[Totally because she wants to help, not for any other reasons. Nope! ]
I don't know if anyone could. But you certainly would be able to manage.
no subject
[Maya is a lot better at negotiations than he is, of that he's certain.]
Aw, thanks...I appreciate that. At this point I'm like...halfway expecting the next wing of this school to be housing a rocket or something.
no subject
[Maya...]
At this point, nothing would surprise me. And after all we have been through, Perhaps you deserve something like that. I can only imagine the fun you would have taking apart a rocket.
no subject
[Like...look. He knows the explosive talk wasn't popular but it's still on the table.]
And, you know...maaybe taking it apart a little for my own study.
no subject
[Listen. Their age difference isn't all that much but... he just radiates such younger kid energy that she can't help but reach over and ruffle his hair.]
Just be careful.
no subject
Careful is my middle name!
[It is not.]
Anyway- how am I lookin', doc?
no subject
[Mostly because he doesn't have a last name, why the heck would he have a middle name. Seems silly.]
I think you will live. But I am ordering a healthy dose of caution going forward. Doctor's orders.
no subject
[Varian will even salute her with his other hand, his bandaged one still throbbing a little.]
I promise I'll be more careful from now on.
no subject
[She shakes her head.]
Go on then, get back to work. I know I've kept you from your passions for long enough.
