week 1
[With the introduction of their showrunner and a brief run through of what they're in for in their time in the Opera House out of the way, the performers are free to explore the first floor of the opera house at their leisure then and for the rest of the week that lies ahead. The double doors leading to the kitchen will be unlocked at 7 am and locked at 10 pm for intermission. Performers are free to prepare meals for themselves and others at any time outside of intermission.
The Merchandise Booth will also be open for business after the first day as some of the performers may find envelopes with their names on it taped to their doors in the morning.
If performers wish to have private conversations with their showrunner, The Balladeer, just step up to the box office and see if he's in.
Enjoy your week, everyone.]
[ooc: This is the last mod post for the week for us! Feel free to start depositing coins in the merch booth if any of your threads have reached that length, so long as they're not with the Balladeer. Remember, song threads mean double coins! There will be no murder this first week so gain all the CR you can while it lasts, darlings.]

He barely slept at all last night but hey, that's still more-or-less okay for him.
He's going to spend most of today in the kitchen, deciding that if there aren't any plants in this building, he was going to try his hardest to grow some himself. Expect a lot of these in water glasses in the kitchen.]

Uhm...
[She nervously laughs as she looks over at Seymour.]
So... what is this?
no subject
Well, The Balladeer didn't give me those plants he said he'd get, so I decided to try to grow some myself. But, I think I got a little overboard...
[Nervously looks around the room. Gosh he didn't realize until now how weird it would look to someone who didn't know how to take care of plants.]

[Anna walks up to a glass and curiously watches it. She gently pokes one of the pits.]
So what are they supposed to be?
no subject
[He so rarely does it since most of the plants they get are already at least sprouted, but hey it's something for him to do.]
If I'm doing this right, they should grow into avocado trees... Hopefully we'll leave before that happens, but I thought it would be fun to try out.
no subject
... what's an avocado?
no subject
They're a plant that produce a berry with savory meat on the inside. It's edible but I've never eaten it.
[This is including today.]

Rather he peers into one of the glasses, getting an eyeful of whatever is in there.
Also hi, Seymour.]

Seymour smiles slightly when he sees Winslow.]
Oh hey. Did you want one of those things?
no subject
Winslow takes out his clipboard to write: "What's in them?"]

[He grabs an avocado that he hasn't cut into.]
I don't know too much about them, but they are native to Central and South America. They've been eating them for millenia!
I... actually don't know if I can grow them here with the climate, but it can't hurt to try?
