week 1
[With the introduction of their showrunner and a brief run through of what they're in for in their time in the Opera House out of the way, the performers are free to explore the first floor of the opera house at their leisure then and for the rest of the week that lies ahead. The double doors leading to the kitchen will be unlocked at 7 am and locked at 10 pm for intermission. Performers are free to prepare meals for themselves and others at any time outside of intermission.
The Merchandise Booth will also be open for business after the first day as some of the performers may find envelopes with their names on it taped to their doors in the morning.
If performers wish to have private conversations with their showrunner, The Balladeer, just step up to the box office and see if he's in.
Enjoy your week, everyone.]
[ooc: This is the last mod post for the week for us! Feel free to start depositing coins in the merch booth if any of your threads have reached that length, so long as they're not with the Balladeer. Remember, song threads mean double coins! There will be no murder this first week so gain all the CR you can while it lasts, darlings.]
FRIDAY

(because we don't have our own showers)
It's hard to shower and keep an eye on your stuff at the same time in here! It could get stolen if you leave it outside the stall, but nobody wants to run to their rooms in towels with everyone else in the hall.

[She hasn't signed it, but you might have seen her grumbling in soaking wet clothes this morning.
Today, she's going to try out the music room and... attempt every instrument in there. She puts them all down as soon as the first terrible note comes out, though, and quickly ends up with a pile in front of her.]
Why don't these come with any instructions!?

Thankfully, it's just the frustrated girl, but this means she can't help but watch from the doorway.
Hime's a little nervous about her. It would be good and right to leave her be, but...]
A- are you...trying to learn to play something?

I can't get the hang of anything.

Later in the afternoon, she can be found in the kitchen. Okay, so maybe not everyone loves makeovers. But cookies! Everyone loves cookies! She can be found diligently working away at cookie batter, or maybe after the cookies are done. Careful. They're rock hard.]

and if nothing bad happened...if the law was not broken, what purpose did The Law have? so he's been moping about for the better part of the morning, in the music room. if you're lucky, you might catch him singing, with perfect rhythm and precision with plenty of melancholy]
Look at me
You may think you see
Who I really am
But you'll never know me
Every day
It's as if I play a part
Now I see
If I wear a mask
I can fool the world
But I cannot fool my heart
Who is this man I see
Staring straight back at me?
When will my reflection show
Who I am inside?
I am now
In a world where I
Have no crime to stop
And nothing to believe in
But somehow
I will show this world
What's inside the law
And bring justice to them all

Later in the day, he'll also be hanging around the ballroom, looking up at the chandeliers and running his fingers thoughtfully over the keys of the grand piano. It's just a few random notes - he clearly doesn't know how to play.]

Now that's something I didn't think I'd see here.
[Her tone isn't disapproving at all, just a "huh" sort of statement. Maybe a little positive, if anything?]

I...hope it won't bother you? [He's not sure how that works, and is a little awkward, if not outright apologetic.] I usually prefer to pray in private, but I thought that some others might take comfort from this.
