week 1
[With the introduction of their showrunner and a brief run through of what they're in for in their time in the Opera House out of the way, the performers are free to explore the first floor of the opera house at their leisure then and for the rest of the week that lies ahead. The double doors leading to the kitchen will be unlocked at 7 am and locked at 10 pm for intermission. Performers are free to prepare meals for themselves and others at any time outside of intermission.
The Merchandise Booth will also be open for business after the first day as some of the performers may find envelopes with their names on it taped to their doors in the morning.
If performers wish to have private conversations with their showrunner, The Balladeer, just step up to the box office and see if he's in.
Enjoy your week, everyone.]
[ooc: This is the last mod post for the week for us! Feel free to start depositing coins in the merch booth if any of your threads have reached that length, so long as they're not with the Balladeer. Remember, song threads mean double coins! There will be no murder this first week so gain all the CR you can while it lasts, darlings.]

Hi. What year is it?
[The voice in her head has been quiet, but of course it doesn't mean it isn't there. Sometimes, she can hear it breathe. Sometimes she might look uncomfortable. But surely no one will ask if she's ok, right? Because she's fine!]

[Seymour seems to have forgotten his own conversation with Anna. (Or, more accurately, is still not entirely sure whether Anna is telling the truth or not.) So he seems really confused by this question.]

[She takes the clipboard and writes it down.]
What's your name...?
no subject
[Peers at the clipboard.]
...What are you writing?
no subject
[She turns the clipboard to show him. Its names and dates, listed side by side. Seymour has 1960, she has 2001, and Anna has ???.]

It's 1988!

[She writes this down.]
...Its an important question. We're not all from the same time, it seems.

[The worst part is that she almost can, thinking about some of the people around her.]

Do you use the Internet?

D-ne's eating in the dining room, by herself, and she simply stares at Astarte for a few moments, processing the question.]
It's...2009.

[She goes to write it down.]

[well, duh, she realizes, after a moment. Some people are so very obviously old-timey.]

1924, kid, and it's going to be that way for the better part of the year.
[He'll glance over to the clipboard while he answers, though he isn't going to make a thing out of it and he isn't going to get in her face about it, either. Just from a distance, you know?]
You getting any interesting answers so far?
no subject
[Scribble]
I have. A lot of interesting answers. Including you, Mr....
[...
Pamphlet out]
...Flynn.
no subject
I don't suppose you'd be willing to share your own answer to that question...?

[that shouldn't sound like a question, but it almost does. Javert is uncertain, in such a simple truth. But everything about this place was so unfamiliar, and even if he's gotten the secret of how to work flashlights out, it's still..highly disconcerting.]
no subject
[She proceeds to write it down. And then look at her pamphlet again.]
...Inspector...Javert?
no subject
[he nods, glancing at her paper in...what is almost approval]

I just want to see when everyone is from. Maybe it can help solve what's happened.
