WEEK 1

[With the introduction of their showrunner and a brief run through of what they're in for in their time in the Opera House out of the way, the performers are free to explore the first floor of the opera house at their leisure then and for the rest of the week that lies ahead. The double doors leading to the kitchen will be unlocked at 7 am and locked at 10 pm for intermission. Performers are free to prepare meals for themselves and others at any time outside of intermission.

The Merchandise Booth will also be open for business after the first day as some of the performers may find envelopes with their names on it taped to their doors in the morning.

If performers wish to have private conversations with their showrunner, The Balladeer, just step up to the box office and see if he's in.

Enjoy your week, everyone.]

[Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday]

[ooc: This is the last mod post for the week for us! Feel free to start depositing coins in the merch booth if any of your threads have reached that length, so long as they're not with the Balladeer. Remember, song threads mean double coins! There will be no murder this first week so gain all the CR you can while it lasts, darlings.]
breakingbread: (bread dad wonders about you)

Somewhat. Although we each remember the other looking different, on our previous meetings - it's strange.
solomonjihad: (...never mind)

[personal profile] solomonjihad 2016-10-16 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
That is strange. Yet you two seem to know each other...

...

Were you....friends?
breakingbread: (bread dad cannot believe)

[personal profile] breakingbread 2016-10-16 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
That isn't exactly the word I would use.

[At least he can try to have a sense of humor about this. There's little sense trying to hide it when their captors are so free with their personal information - in fact, what does she know already?]

Have you read our profiles in the playbill?
solomonjihad: (absolutely a normal human!)

[personal profile] solomonjihad 2016-10-16 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
A little...mostly for the inspector, though.

[She should probably read it agai--

Oh.

Oh.

She looks back up at him, a new light of understanding in her eyes.]

Then...you're a recidivist?

[wow, rude. RUDE]

If continuing to break parole counts, I suppose.

[personal profile] solomonjihad 2016-10-16 06:40 pm (UTC)(link)
[. . .]

Parole...so...

...

You...didn't go to jail for murder, did you?
breakingbread: (bread dad outside)

[personal profile] breakingbread 2016-10-16 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
[THAT'S...actually a very reasonable question, in the current circumstances.]

No, no. I went to prison for stealing bread.
solomonjihad: (absolutely a normal human!)

[personal profile] solomonjihad 2016-10-16 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
...stealing...bread.

...

[Human justice is even more messed up than she thought.]

And...for breaking parole on...stealing bread...
breakingbread: (bread dad looks to god)

[personal profile] breakingbread 2016-10-16 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
It was five years on the chain gang for the bread. More for attempting to escape - nineteen, when all was said and done.

[It doesn't seem like this is something he greatly enjoys talking about, shockingly. But...well, he's never really discussed it with anyone before, for fear of capture. Perhaps it will do him some good to speak to people other than God.

...besides, Javert will tell anyone who asks anyway.]

It's likely they'll simply kill me, when the Inspector and I return. I am a fugitive from justice as well, now. But at my age, a quick death would be better than a slow one in prison.
solomonjihad: (maybe I don't need friends after all)

[personal profile] solomonjihad 2016-10-16 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
............but in the end you'll be killed for...bread.

[Its obvious that Astarte's judging, but its not against Valjean. Do humans just...look for any excuse to kill people?]

[..........Valjean manages a smile.] I may shake him yet, when we all leave here. I've been doing it for a long time.

Anyway, he will do nothing to me until we can return to Paris.
solomonjihad: (absolutely a normal human!)

Paris...

[Oh!]

Do you know Raoul? He's from Paris as well.

[If so, that makes her job of figuring out his year easier!]

I'm afraid we've never met before here. But he is a Viscount, you understand. I've little call to associate with nobility.

[He has got money, granted, but you don't make a spectacle of yourself in his position.]
solomonjihad: (maybe I can be friends!)

[personal profile] solomonjihad 2016-10-17 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I see. He does seem like a...good...noble...at least?
breakingbread: (bread dad looks to god)

[personal profile] breakingbread 2016-10-18 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, yes! He's quite kind. All of the nobility and royalty here are - they've chosen the good ones, if nothing else.

[ha ha ha he's including hans in that]
