Week One
[Yesterday, everyone woke up in a strange place and realized that they'd been kidnapped, and also that everyone else around them may or may not be kinnies? Wow, what a weird escalation of kin drama! Given what some people have seen of Spongebob's freaky arm thing, though, maybe it's not that at all?
Your Assistant Director, Hester, showed off her stuff and immediately had her life threatened by Lumpy Space Princess, who got her life threatened right back. Maybe you should keep that in mind if you decide to pay Hester any more visits! She won't be making another public appearance this week, but as promised, she'll be available for visits and consultation in the Principal's Office during business hours.
If you don't want to chat with Hester, there's always the school to explore! Some of you might also be receiving mysterious coins next to your bedside this week - those must be useful for something, right? There's lots to do, and you all seem like a group who can make your own fun, so enjoy your first week of school!]

(( OOC: This will be the last mod post for this week! Feel free to start submitting regains for any threads that aren't with Hester. Remember, song threads mean an extra coin! This is a peace week, so get all that CR while you can! ))

Hello Mods! Just a close inspection of the Cafeteria Stage
Danaus: To Be Determined
Hypermnestra: Maya Tendo
Chorus of Conscious: Elsa, Cassandra, Spongebob Squarepants
Narration and Duet: Madame Elisabeth (zither) and The Balladeer (guitar, voice)
Fortepiano: Spongebob Squarepants
Director and Conductor: Maestro Antonio Salieri
Assistant Director and Professional Audience: Farrah
Costumes: Elle Woods, Angus McFife XIII, Benjamin Barker
Sets and Lighting: Janis Sarkisian, Varian, Angus McFife XIII (Heavy Lifting)
[rehearsals and any working on costumes/set/lighting/etc, are going to be mostly handwaved unless someone wants to have a toplvl to work on it, etc.
(Apologies to LSP...)As for Thursday specifically, if there's an IC question for Salieri, he'll be around, meeting with people, probably mostly in The Choir Room. However, by the end of the day, the "To Be Determined" in front of Danaus will be crossed out, and replaced with Benjamin Barker.
Aside from that, in the morning after he gets that notice pinned up, he's going to be checking out the stage in the Cafeteria--studying it, seeing what mechanisms are available there. Is there a curtain, what are the pulleys like, is there a backstage...those kinds of things. Either way, he's taking a close look at the stage and the area around it.]

All Right Everyone! We're gonna have a GREAT PLAY THIS YEAR!

My. Had I known you'd be this enthusiastic, I would've thought to assign you the role earlier.

I cannot help but wonder if this is a parody of some kind, considering I don't believe any of us are addicted to any sort of drug. Although the ability to boss people around can certainly be a boon when trying to direct any kind of show.

So I decided to act like my cheer captain. She cares so much it's painful. Tomorrow, I'll bring charts!
no subject
As much as that does pique my curiosity... [some of that amusement fades as he studies her, watching her with a bit of calm curiosity]
It is your name that I put on that list, not your captain's. If you wish to emulate her, then by all means, but I don't require such a thing nor expect it of you.
no subject
You shouldn't really expect anything of me. [She says it bitterly, but bounces back with a sense of humor about her.] It's exhausting to pretend to be Riley for more than 3 minutes at a time, anyway.
no subject
I can imagine. She seems very excitable. [there's that mild hint of amusement back]
However...Mademoiselle Farrah, what you should understand is this: [Salieri folds his arms over his chest, still watching her] I didn't choose you as an assistant director out of any specific expectation. It was mostly out of curiosity of your potential. Most assistant directors, or even directors themselves, started as Professional Audience Members. So, if you have an interest, I'd be happy to walk you through what the position normally entails, and you can decide how much of it you wish to do or not do.

Sure. What should I do?

Looking for secret passages? Or just preparing for your little play?

His lips press together, and he just
turns away and keeps doing what he was doing i.e. stepping up onto the stage so he can get a better look at it]

Ah, well. I'll just have to improvise.

so difficult to resist the urge to scream right now. Why can he not escape this man?
Salieri takes a deep breath in through his nose, and breathes out.
And goes back to looking at the stage. ]

Oh, all the ways I could spice things up...

I wonder if I could put together a chandelier to drop...

So much ignoring. Why, he even has his back to Discord at this point]
