[Yesterday, everyone woke up in a strange place and realized that they'd been kidnapped, and also that everyone else around them may or may not be kinnies? Wow, what a weird escalation of kin drama! Given what some people have seen of Spongebob's freaky arm thing, though, maybe it's not that at all?

Your Assistant Director, Hester, showed off her stuff and immediately had her life threatened by Lumpy Space Princess, who got her life threatened right back. Maybe you should keep that in mind if you decide to pay Hester any more visits! She won't be making another public appearance this week, but as promised, she'll be available for visits and consultation in the Principal's Office during business hours.

If you don't want to chat with Hester, there's always the school to explore! Some of you might also be receiving mysterious coins next to your bedside this week - those must be useful for something, right? There's lots to do, and you all seem like a group who can make your own fun, so enjoy your first week of school!]

[Salieri allows himself a small chuckle at that] True enough. [he glances over at the little boat (where did he get the paper???) before taking a step back towards him] Though there is something to be said for a little bit of suspension of disbelief, isn't there?

[he'll reach out to pluck the boat from his fingers, flipping it so it's between his middle and index finger, dragging it a bit from left to right, weaving it up and down a bit.] After all, there's many a performance that takes place on the sea, and yet there is no water to be found.

[His tone is still politely friendly. my, it does feel nice to have the upper hand]

[He looks pretty annoyed at that boat being plucked from his hands and he huffs a bit. But he does his best to recover. He'll let this one go.]

Unless you flooded the theatre first, of course. Simply for immersion's sake, of course.

Of course. [dryly, bemused]

I can think of a few of the nobility that might find that quite novel, in fact.

In that case I would take extra care to soak all their fancy outfits in particular.

[he arches an eyebrow at that] Oh?

I've spent entirely too much time watching nobles and all their fancy parties and I couldn't so much as roll my eyes. So, if nothing else, I should make up for lost time by making their time absolutely dreadful.

You couldn't roll your eyes? [somehow, that is a delightful prospect, and Salieri doesn't bother to disguise the slight quirk to the corner of his mouth] However did that happen?

Yes, physically could not roll my eyes.

I was petrified at the time.

[That is not what he expected to hear, but there's is certainly a part of him that is absolutely pleased as punch to hear it. The thought of Discord being able to not move at all, not to even roll his eyes, is an absolute delight. Of course, he's not going to let that show on his face--that he keeps to a mild curiosity]

That sounds...inconvenient. How did you come to be petrified, exactly?

Oh, for nothing serious, really.

I mean, you take over a kingdom and plunge it into eternal chaos one time and nop-- nobody lets you forget about it!

[.....what the fuck. Salieri just...stares at Discord a moment, before he forces himself to respond, keeping his expression as neutral as possible]

Naturally. [though...that does beg the question...] But you haven't done that here because...?

[He rolls his eyes, leans back, and snaps his fingers. There's a flash of light. Annnnd... nothing else.]

Tell me what just happened there.

[Salieri can't really help the way he jolts when Discord snaps his fingers, the flash of light not helping. But at that question, he waits one moment...two...and then he blinks]

...aside from the flash of light?

Yes, aside from that.

As far as I can tell...nothing.

Exactly! Nothing at all!

And without the power to warp reality however I feel like, I'm not exactly in any shape to overthrow, well, anything.

[Salieri has never been more relieved in his life.]

Indeed. I can see why that would make it difficult.

But it's a step up from being trapped in stone, so I can wait. For now. Boring as it's been.

[Salieri is going to hope and pray that he never gets those powers back. N e v e r.

Not that he'll tell Discord that. And not that he would even begin to call this situation "boring." Quite the opposite, in fact. However, that's hardly what this man wants to hear, is it? No, he wants a willing ear to agree with him.]

Mm. I suppose it is unsurprising that someone who enjoys chaos to the extent you do would find this whole situation rather droll.

I mean, taking people from different places, times, and dimensions, that's pretty fun, but since Hester introduced herself not much has actually happened.

We could be having some perfectly good mayhem right now.

Oh? And what sort of mayhem would you choose to cause?

Maybe something like the game I played not long before I got here. Usually I don't care for repeats, but, well, it was a really fun one.
