[As the investigation ends, you'll hear Hester's voice inviting you to the auditorium. As this happens, the twin doors on either side of the concession stand, across from the gym, will click open. You can enter on either side; both go to the same place.

When you enter the auditorium, it's dark. There's only the small lights along the walkway behind all the seats, just enough to illuminate where you're going. There's a central path between the seats, down towards where you know the stage must be. That's where you must be going, right? As you pass each row of seats, the lights at their ends flick on, marking your procession and slowly making more and more of the room visible. Shortly, you can see your destination: a circle of podiums stationed in the orchestra pit, below the lip of the darkened, curtained stage. They're all identical, labeled with a cast member's name. Varian and Salieri, side by side, now have theirs draped in black crepe and with a framed monochrome photo of them on top.

When you reach the podiums, the lights above the stage finally come on. The Wizard is once again waiting for you. Beside it Hester is slowly lowers in on her bubble. There's no flashy costume this time, just a plain black dress belted with green satin around her waist. She sits in her seat with her head down and her hands in her lap like she's trying to make herself as small as possible. As if, if she tried hard enough, she could just disappear despite the lights on her.

The mechanical head, with glowing green eyes, is installed above the stage and the still-closed curtain. Even if you were standing on the stage, it'd be well out of reach. It peers down at all of you, its motions fluid, and speaks with a booming, artificial-sounding voice:]

Welcome to your fourth trial, everyone. It's time to determine who was responsible for the murder of Salieri. Feel free to talk amongst yourselves and work together - you'll have to show teamwork if you want to leave this room alive.

[Boy howdy, last night sure was a wild time. A blackout, a massive rain storm, hotboxing in the photo dungeons, excessive PDA, Hester dissociating out of her skin- what a time!

Come the morning, the storm has mostly calmed to a normal amount of rain but the power seems like it's back on! Let there be light and let there be breakfast!

...Oh but it's Friday, isn't it? Better take a headcount.]

[ Early on Wednesday, word goes around for everyone to meet in the Boys Bathroom at noon again, for another meeting. This time, with Salieri's help, Peregrine is leading it. ]

Okay, you guys. So, we're all scared, but we're all still here. And now we know we're not alone. For our sake, and...for theirs, let's see what we've learned what we can figure out. ...We're not gonna have another repeat. Not again.

[Last week, you had your very first minor body pileup! Granted, the Balladeer's death was entirely unrelated to anything, but at least he died as he lived - getting completely fucked up in some kind of carnival-themed hellscape. Only two days later, another terrible accident took Rina and Varian both from you. It's just been one of those weeks, huh? At least you got to add both of their corpses to your weird growing collection!

Again, you'll wake up this morning with another new snippet of memory. You'll also find that the stairs in the lobby are no longer blocked. You can only access one part of the second floor, but it seems like there's some neat stuff up there!

Outside, a few things seem to have changed. For one, the weather has turned - it'll be overcast this week, with periodic rain and even scattered thunderstorms. For another, the bushes around that rock out by the football field have bloomed. That's nice.

Get to it, friends! I'm sure everything will be fine this week!]

(( Be sure to submit your memory regain and your AC for this week! As always, Hester's office hours and the merch booth remain available. ))

[Tradition is Tradition.

Anne figures it's best to keep everyone busy in the aftermath of the trial, so she wrangles together a team of Mephisto, Santana, and Stephen to help her set up. Mephisto writes the notes and slides them under the door for Nana, Steven, and Christine, letting them know there's food and people in the dining room. The handwriting's not too great. Christine's note contains a 'P.S. If you don't feel up to it, I'll bring some food by later.' from Anne and a little doodle of Tad Cooper.

Thankfully, Anne has help setting up, so the weirdest of her food experiments don't make their way out of the kitchen. However, her platter of sandwiches does contain some interesting surprises--- you may find cheese and jelly, or peanut butter and chicken. There are normal things there too, though! And Biscuits, courtesy of Mephisto.

Their resident therapy dragon is on duty, too. Anne's made him a tiny crown for the event, and a regal little cape. He sits on a pillow in the middle of the dining room table, reigning proudly. ]

[When the investigation finishes, the lights begin to flicker on and off as that low, gentle rumble echoes through the opera house. Again for those investigating the grounds the outdoor lights illuminating the still night flicker to get their attention.

Your intermission is ending. Please return to your trial room.

The court room looks just as it did before: the grand chandelier glittering above your heads, the dusty red velvet seats. In the orchestra pit your circle of wooden podiums are waiting. Angus, Riley and Shilo's podiums are draped in black crepe with their greyscale funerary portraits, just like your friends before them. The ghost light glows softly behind the podiums.

The curtain is closed, waiting to open when a decision has been reached and the execution can commence.

When everyone is in their places, the Phantom's voice echoes loud and clear through the theatre from his place in box 5. He still sounds distracted, just as he was for his other public appearance this week, like there are other things weighing on his mind.]

You must now determine who was responsible for the death of Shilo Wallace. Submit your vote on the podiums when you are certain of your choice.

[Gather your evidence and let's begin.]

[That was...an absolute shitshow. More beloved friends are dead in a mess of a trial that's left Angus half the man he was, Riley in a free fall and the Phantom...somehow still standing despite taking two stabs to the torso.

When you wake on Sunday, you'll find that you've recovered another one of those memories - or had another dream, if you still wanna be in denial about it. The door blocking the stairwell on the second floor has been unsealed. You can now venture up to the third floor! You have so much space now, it's just a shame it's all come at the cost of eight lives.

But despite the tragedy you have made progress! The trip into the Phantom's lair yielded some hints to the past of the Opera House, your house manager's apparently grim hobby and the possibility of an ally outside the Opera House. Who knows what this week will bring?]

This is your formal acceptance into the United League of Opera House Survivors. Whether or not you ignore this, You are not alone.

Something must be done. This status is not quo.

We will not be ignored. We will not be manipulated. We will not be victims anymore.

Join me in the dining room. We need to plan.

[Anna also gets an additional message.]

I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I haven't done more. That I haven't done enough. But being here has made me stronger. Being with you has made me stronger. I'm not a joke, or a dork. I'm just me.

I promised you sunshine, Anna. We're going to get out of here to see your home again.
-Your Billy

[He'll be sitting at the table after delivering 10 of the 11 copies of the same letter that he's written out. The others all were trifolded and slid under dressing room doors with the recipient's name written on the back.

This last one, however, the one that he's worrying in his hands but never unfolding as he sits at the table, simply has a large B written on the back.]

Thanks for, uh. Thanks for coming. If you want to stay on this side of the room, I found a vent that can block this camera but not... not the other one.

[For a fourth time, the doors of the trial room unlock with a loud, echoing click and creak of the doors opening.

The time has come for your fourth trial.

The courtroom looks as it always does, with Hook and Javert's podiums are have been decorated just as the other dead performers are. The added lights cast even more shadows across the room and the chandelier above glitters and hangs ominously overhead. The Balladeer is nowhere to be seen again, presumably waiting behind the curtain to be needed. Once everyone is in position, his voice rings out across the courtroom.]

You guys know what to do. Let's get this over with.

[All's quiet on the Opera front this morning. But that's been the case so often on Fridays it wouldn't be too safe to trust it. But hey, there's still not a flood of blood in the first floor hallway again so you've all got that going for you.]

[On Wednesday evening, Billy slides a note underneath the doors of all of the other cast members' doors. The notes are written in his messy, excited all-caps handwriting (the initial letters for each sentence is larger than the rest of the letters), but the message is simple enough (especially since he had to write it 15 times).]

Join me for an important tech demonstration in the special effects lab tonight at Intermission.

[As soon as everyone who's going to come is assembled, sickly-sweet cherry-scented fog starts pouring out of the vents on either side of the room, effectively obscuring both of the cameras.]

Thanks for coming. I found something on Monday night, that should, uh. Should probably be shared. With you guys.

WEEK 5

[Five weeks, three trials, seven deaths and thirteen performers left.

Monday the opera house has been cleaned top to bottom of any leftover traces of Halloween. No pumpkins, no cobwebs, no cheesy paper skeletons, not even a hint that there the decorations has been there in the first place. There's a slight chill in the air this week, like someone forgot to shut off the air conditioning on for a bit too long. Luckily there are plenty of sweaters in the costume room should the performers get chilly. Three more doors are lacking in their appropriate stars now but, as with Hime's, Eliza and Darla's doors have different stars stuck tight to them with different names on them.

The door on in the third floor lobby is unlocked and a new floor is ready to be explored. Enjoy your week, everyone.]

[Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday]

[ooc: put in your memories and get in your activity, lovelies, and let's have a stellar week.]
