week 1
[With the introduction of their showrunner and a brief run through of what they're in for in their time in the Opera House out of the way, the performers are free to explore the first floor of the opera house at their leisure then and for the rest of the week that lies ahead. The double doors leading to the kitchen will be unlocked at 7 am and locked at 10 pm for intermission. Performers are free to prepare meals for themselves and others at any time outside of intermission.
The Merchandise Booth will also be open for business after the first day as some of the performers may find envelopes with their names on it taped to their doors in the morning.
If performers wish to have private conversations with their showrunner, The Balladeer, just step up to the box office and see if he's in.
Enjoy your week, everyone.]
[ooc: This is the last mod post for the week for us! Feel free to start depositing coins in the merch booth if any of your threads have reached that length, so long as they're not with the Balladeer. Remember, song threads mean double coins! There will be no murder this first week so gain all the CR you can while it lasts, darlings.]
Costume Shop, OTA + 1 private prompt (cw: strangulation), first come first serve
(No one has, in fact, informed Raoul that he will have to clean his own clothes. You uh. Might want to.)
For a bit, you'll find him going through the men's clothes options, making very thoughtful choices for what he decides to pull out for his own use. Most of the clothes, however, get a sneer.] Eugh. I know it is a costume shop, but these are particularly unsightly. Who would choose to wear this?!
[However, for one person, you'll find Raoul somewhat different. He's taken off his suit jacket and unbuttoned the collar of his shirt to try something that might not be too bad, but he's stopped, and is carefully probing his throat whilst looking in a mirror. Though a couple of days old, there are clearly bruises from something that had been around his neck - and he does not look pleased at all. In fact, it seems to be more of a restrained distress.]
Strangulation fun!
Excuse me, I'll only be...o-oh my... [Yeah she catches sight of those bruises.] Already, someone is...?
OH BOY STRAP IN D-NE
Miss D-ne - oh, no, no, I am not - no one has harmed me, I swear it! I don't know where these...
no subject
R-Raoul-san... I-I have to say, ah, that doesn't reassure me in the least. M- missing time, isn't that always the mark of such terrifying stories...?
no subject
I...I agree with you, Miss D-ne. The fact that I may well be missing time does not reassure me either - but it seems to line up with some things I have heard the others speak about...
[Ah, now she's going to ask, isn't she? He changes gears, though he's doubtful she won't ask.]
But I assure you, I have not been assaulted on these grounds.
[Not yet, at least.]
no subject
Though... [Now, Raoul. To say such a thing and think she won't ask...] You heard...from others? What sorts of things, if I may...?
no subject
[But it's not going to be "hey do you have something for these bruises", let's just say that.]
Ah...it seemed that Miss Astarte had...some of her belongings stolen. And then, Mister Winslow...he cannot speak, and he does not seem like he understands why he is dressed in such an unusual costume, though I am not sure how one could forget donning such an outfit...
[Winslow is a bro though okay, Raoul believes him when he conveys that there's a problem. He went and attacked the goshdarned box office over it, after all.]
no subject
Is...that so? [Her hand instinctively drifts to the right side of her head, as if she's looking for something that should be there.] I didn't know people were missing belongings. To say n- nothing of, ah... Winslow-san's situation.
[Are those the hairs on her arms standing on end? Probably.]
no subject
It is incredibly troublesome - more troublesome than our situation. It adds another level of violation to the whole thing, and frankly, I believe it cause for great concern...perhaps, even moreso now.

no subject
I will, as soon as I am able. Of that have no doubt.
no subject
You have my thanks, Raoul-san. ...For the moment, you should focus on caring for yourself, I think. Discovering something like this...i-it must be a shock.
no subject
But for the sake of others, he can't let that show. He makes sure the collar of his shirt is up high enough to hide the marks.]
The greatest self care I could give, miss, is to find an outfit that does not make me look like a complete clown, and given that this room is full of costumes it may be quite difficult.

[But he'd be happy to find it PLEASE CAN WE THROW THAT OUT]
Is there one in the kitchen?
no subject
I don't think it's going to fit...

[There has to be some kind of closet or trunk they can shove it in, right? So it stays in the depths of clutter and never emerges?

[He didn't even know there WAS any oil here. What the hell is a bunch of oil doing in a storage closet?]
- Well, it should be well hidden there! Let us make haste!
[And he's going to heft up this abomination. Lead the way Hime, he can't see beyond all these creepy fabric arms!]
