week 1
[With the introduction of their showrunner and a brief run through of what they're in for in their time in the Opera House out of the way, the performers are free to explore the first floor of the opera house at their leisure then and for the rest of the week that lies ahead. The double doors leading to the kitchen will be unlocked at 7 am and locked at 10 pm for intermission. Performers are free to prepare meals for themselves and others at any time outside of intermission.
The Merchandise Booth will also be open for business after the first day as some of the performers may find envelopes with their names on it taped to their doors in the morning.
If performers wish to have private conversations with their showrunner, The Balladeer, just step up to the box office and see if he's in.
Enjoy your week, everyone.]
[ooc: This is the last mod post for the week for us! Feel free to start depositing coins in the merch booth if any of your threads have reached that length, so long as they're not with the Balladeer. Remember, song threads mean double coins! There will be no murder this first week so gain all the CR you can while it lasts, darlings.]

Is...that so? [Her hand instinctively drifts to the right side of her head, as if she's looking for something that should be there.] I didn't know people were missing belongings. To say n- nothing of, ah... Winslow-san's situation.
[Are those the hairs on her arms standing on end? Probably.]
no subject
It is incredibly troublesome - more troublesome than our situation. It adds another level of violation to the whole thing, and frankly, I believe it cause for great concern...perhaps, even moreso now.

no subject
I will, as soon as I am able. Of that have no doubt.
no subject
You have my thanks, Raoul-san. ...For the moment, you should focus on caring for yourself, I think. Discovering something like this...i-it must be a shock.
no subject
But for the sake of others, he can't let that show. He makes sure the collar of his shirt is up high enough to hide the marks.]
The greatest self care I could give, miss, is to find an outfit that does not make me look like a complete clown, and given that this room is full of costumes it may be quite difficult.
no subject
Well. I'm far from a fashionable person, but I think, this one that's caught you eye may be a good start?
no subject
That is exactly what I was thinking, but depending on the length of our stay, I will need more than what I wear and one other outfit. After all, we can't know when to expect our clothes to be laundered.
[Uh...hey D-ne...maybe tell him how he has to clean his own clothes?]
no subject
Well, I imagine they'll be laundered whenever you feel like laundering them, Raoul-san!
no subject
[Not even I, we he says. Like. You gotta do your own laundry? Princess Anna has to do her own laundry? What????]
no subject
Yes, of course! That is what the machines in east wing are for, did you not realize?
no subject
I...did not. And I have also...never laundered something before.
[It's hard for him to admit but gosh he must sound like a total fool.]
no subject
I get the feeling you're from a time when this wasn't entirely normal, hm? Don't worry, they're not difficult to use. And I'm sure you can ask someone to teach you?
no subject
[His cheeks heat up a bit though. You have every right to laugh, he's a bit of a fool at all this. At least the showers haven't been hard to figure out.]
Laundering, among other things, were not...tasks that I am accustomed to doing. But I would like to live, and be presentable while doing so.

[An almost mischievoous smile rises to her face and- just what is this music.]
Darkened halls, and strange fellows, what a place to be,
Wondering how many of them are trusty.
Fretfully realizing there's so much to do,
"Dear, oh dear, oh, this cannot be, more to adjust to!"
Between the bad policies,
And oh-so invasive profiles,
"I want to leave this place," we all think mournfully.
Regardlessly energetic-like feelings, grab them in your hands,
Acting as if you can rise above it,
Swallow the fear,
"Hello to you~" (Sigh)
All that you don't know, all that you can learn,
No matter our fears, "Everyone's New Life!!"
That's what this is, for now at least, but we'll all get through it!
Playing our parts with an actor's pride, we can get back to the ones we love!
Even though you struggle on, and this song's a poor construction...
[Though she loses confidence towards the end there, D-ne sings with an energy that's honestly unlike her! And then shyly brushes a strand of hair behind her ear.]
no subject
It's said that a song's the sum of notes and harmonies
But I believe it's more than that
The words within and their intent
If they don't stir the listener's heart
It falls flat
And frankly dear your song did cheer
I'll attest to that
no subject
Ah... I-I'm glad, that it could do something at least. [...] To be honest, I'm not a positive person. Far from it.
[Why's she saying this...?]
But if everyone's like that, it won't lead to a good environment...so encouraging, even if I don't wholeheartedly believe it, that's good. I think...?
no subject
It is very good - and perhaps as you encourage it, that will encourage you, too.
no subject
...Maybe. That's all ah, any of us can ask for, probably.
