Week Six

[Last week, in It's Curtains, the weather changed, and with it your fortune in Dads. Discord took Salieri out - or perhaps Salieri took Discord out - and left the survivors with that much less impulse control. Nonetheless, a visit from a new friend might have provided a little bit of much-needed hope?

On Sunday morning, you'll find that the other side of the second floor has opened up - as well as the actual intended path to reach the roof garden. You can finally stop climbing up that rope every time you want to have a picnic or secret lover's rendezvous!

Outside, the weather seems to have calmed down. It's sunny again, with rather a lot of clouds. Though it's warm, the atmosphere seems very...still.]

[It's everyone's favorite snail with a skateboard, Gary! When she opens the door he thunks his skateboard against her shin, albeit much gentler than he was being with the door.]

Sure is a good thing you have that skateboard, huh? Everything okay, buddy?

[When he doesn't see Farrah where he left her, he comes running after Ruddiger.]

Janis! Have you seen Farrah this morning?

Uh... no? But I just woke up. Everything okay?

I'm not sure. Her little pet just woke me up, scratching on the door.

We need to follow them, I think they're trying to show us something.

[Elle, resident squatter, looks up from her blanket nest a little bleary-eyed.]

Who's zat?

[It's Gary and Ruddiger, nyooming by on a skateboard! The raccoon has wine, it's probably fine.]

[Bruiser is very interested in this and would like to join them on the skateboard.]

[Hop on, Brusier, Ruddiger will drop the empty wine bottle to act as a chihuahua car seat.]

[Bruiser is pretty hype about this and will go zipping along with the other pets.]

Meow.

[Ruddiger clambers onto the back of Gary's skateboard and, using his fat little raccoon legs, turns the skateboard and kicks off down the hallway, narrowly avoiding Rum Tum Tugger laying in the middle of the hallway.]

[barberic]

[God I hope you mean the stuffed animal.

Either way Benji's off after them.]

[ A BODY HAS BEEN DISCOVERED-

Yeah Janis is also running after them. ]

[First Bruiser runs after them, so Elle naturally follows.]

Why does Ruddiger have a bottle of wine?

Not the most important question right now, but a good one.

[A snail, a drunk raccoon and a chihuahua get on a skateboard-

The animals dexterously skid around corners and down the hall until they get to the closed from door. Sadly, as good as they are on wheels, only one of them has thumbs and he's a dog car seat right now.

Outside, there's the sound of obnoxious honking.]

[barberic]

[Let's be honest, three pets on a skateboard are not really going to cause a grown man to break into more than a power walk or maybe a jog.

When he hears the ruckus from outside, though, he breaks into a run.]

[The first thing Benjamin is going to notice is that someone has been littering up a storm in the courtyard. There are several wine bottles (none thankfully broken) littered on the ground.

And in the parking lot there's the car, doing sloppy figure-eight donuts.]

[barberic]

[Well this is a sight.

Benjamin stops at the edge of the parking lot and immediately sticks his arm out to stop anyone coming behind him (hopefully the animals have more sense than to skateboard out in the way.]

What is going on out here?

[Uh oh. That's an angry Dad Voice.]

[Elle stops when Benji throws out his arm, but she is able to get a view of the scene.]

Oh my god, we need to stop that car.

[Just kind of slumping her way down the halls, supported against the walls, in a coccoon of blankets.]

[This had better be payback for disappearing last week and sending her running outside. Angus follows the animals, six lizards in his arms, and then towards that annoying noise.]

Follow the animals on the skateboard, Angus! They know the way.]

[Follow your heart, let it guide you through the dark

Or just the wise racoon and his followers. He'll try to have his lizards join in on the skateboard fun as well; they deserve some happiness.]
