Week Three

[Last week, some shit went down! Salieri's scene went off without a hitch, but the good mood didn't last. The first motive was a bit of a doozy, and yet it didn't even have anything to do with the eventual accidental death of Mumble Happyfeet! At least Sissi was already pretty much dating Death anyway, right? She's probably fine, wherever she is.

This week, new menus have been posted in the cafeteria. But, more importantly, it seems that other new information has emerged. Everyone wakes on Sunday with some new memories - or are they old ones? - floating around in their heads. Maybe there was something to your discussions of time travel after all. Maybe there was someting to the Wizard's knowledge of the future.

Regardless, you're still stuck in here. At least there's some new places to explore this week. Maybe you'll find something helpful.]

[The relief in her eyes is obvious when she spots Varian. There's a brief moment where she considers pulling him into a hug, but... That's too much, even for her. Especially when she has a knife bundled up in her clothes.

I found this. I had to make sure everyone was alright.

[She opens the haphazardly bundled jacket. The blood of the knife has smeared against the fabric, but it's still there and still very wet.]

[Varian props his chin up in his hand as he looks sidelong at the box. Had the motive been that upsetting to Rina? She must be worried about the people she knows back home, whatever the place might have been.]

There's plenty of boxes out here. I'm not gonna miss one.

I've saved... most of it. [She looks almost sheepish. When she speaks, her voice is just a little quieter.]

[Varian is glad to hear Rina had any friends at all, even if it was just one friend. Classmates are different, but still...]

At this point, nothing would surprise me. And after all we have been through, Perhaps you deserve something like that. I can only imagine the fun you would have taking apart a rocket.

It was. As we fought, I could see what the Giraffe meant about the stage reacting to our shine. It was as if it all came to life, responding to the tone of our fight.

In any case, once she's in the kitchen, she sets him down in front of the fridge and opens it up.]

[ The thing nobody would guess about Janis to look at her, and that doesn't come across in anything but watching a mean girls slime tutorial because it's so different from the movie, is that once Janis is attached to someone personal space is no longer a concern. Especially when this time she's less flustered.

All of which is to say that she just sort of leans back towards Maya rather than shying away. ]

That's the idea. Been a while since I came at a play totally blind. Usually by the time I'm anywhere near it, Damian has already recited at least half of it.

Since it's way too big for me to ever possibly put away, I'm figuring out how to really make this guy my own.

[Well, since Janis is here, Maya will lay a hand over the shoulder opposite of the one she's peering over.]

If Aijo-san was here instead of me, you would have heard half of it by now.

[She laughs, just a faint, muffled little noise, but a laugh nonetheless.]

Oh. People don't...really like when I talk about things being like that.

[Which is far from a denial. Still, he's quiet for a moment; it's a little odd to have it openly acknowledged, and he knows it's...apparently a sensitive topic for folks. He wants to choose his words.]

No, I don't. If this were my show, I think I would, but not like this. There are...people I would have recognized, if they showed up here - shows I know about - but no one here. I honestly think that might have been on purpose.

How do you know this guy? Howl? It sounded like they'd talked before, and I guess this is just the raw interview anyway - there wasn't much of an introduction to the whole thing.

[ Oh, boy, so that sure is more mysterious coins piled up next to him in the night while he sleeps, being dislodged from their neat stacks and scattering all over the place as he sits up. Orpheus sighs and starts to gather them into his pockets before heading to the vending machine, resigned to another morning of sorting stuff. And what an assortment of stuff he gets! The first thing to come out is an entire, living lizard, which scuttles under the machine before he can try to catch it - that's going to have to be somebody else's problem. Then a piece of paper flutters out, which Orpheus picks up and begins to read; ]

I'm glad to hear rehab's going alright. You should talk more in the sharing circles - opening up is good for you.

[ And then stops reading abruptly as he realizes this is clearly a letter addressed to somebody else. He folds it back up again and puts it in his pocket, before examining the rest of what fell out of the machine while he was distracted. There's... an entire dead fish? He'll run that to the kitchen and shove it in the freezer in the hopes that it's still good and that someone can clean it later, then return to find a long bundle wrapped in cloth. Huh. That's strange! He'll reach out to start to unwrap it, curious about what's inside.]

[ Janis looks over, blinks, then looks back to the deer. Back to Eurydice. ]
