week 4
[Another week, and two more dead. King Richard and Red are both gone, and once again, it was through nothing more than an accident in the heat of the moment. Maybe if you all stay calm and collected, nothing bad will happen again?
Well, maybe not.
When you wake on Sunday, you'll find that you've recovered another one of those memories - or had another dream, if you still wanna be in denial about it. The grounds remain as they are, but this time, the door blocking the stairwell has been unsealed. You can now venture up to the second floor! This is the second time that's happened; it's almost as if you get more space every time someone dies. Or maybe the whole place just seems quieter.]

(( Welcome to Week 4! Please remember to submit your AC and your memory regains, as well as your coins! You can also still contact the Phantom. ))

The library is a nice place. She's not...really a huge bookworm, but she does look through it a bit. She usually has a taste for murder-mysteries, but after picking one out, she sets it back quickly. When she finds the computer room, it reminds her of something... After a brief return to her room, she settles in there. There’s a flash drive she got, weeks ago. And it’s about time to see what’s on there.
In the afternoon, she's going to deal with the fact that she has a bunch of coins. With a preface, to whoever works the damn merch booth- ] No giant rocks this time. No trombones, no tubas, none of that. I am not in the mood.
[ And, hey! Maybe they listened! Mostly? There's a weird note- not important. Riley shoves the things she got to the side of the lobby, to deal with later. It's with trepidation and annoyance that she trudges out to the stable.
It's with shock and surprise that she finds a giant pink lion and stifles a yelp. ]
What in the world is that doing here?!
[ Fun! Fun times.
After all that, she'll. Well, she has to go back to the lobby and sort out her other things. Sniffs the weird vial, ew, it smells like Mountain Dew. Sets down another old radio. At least most of this stuff she can just kind of set aside...
In the evening, Riley ends the day in the movie theater. She looks for something to put on, but her eyes slide over each title, unfocused. ]
lobby, let's do this
She knows exactly what this is. Maybe not exactly, because she wasn't alive in 1989, but she knows what it's used for and she knows exactly what she has to do with it. She also knows just how dangerous it's going to be for her to use it, which is why her hands are trembling.
But she also knows who must have sent this to her. She looks up at the ceiling and knows what she has to do.
We were working together for this, right? I'm glad you're still with me.
She then stands, leaving behind her pile, which is weird, but at least she does pause for a moment, giving a distracted wave to Riley.]
Oh, hey! I didn't realize you were here, I...
[Wait a second, that's... familiar.]
What are you doing with one of my drama club's prop beakers?
no subject
Hi, Christine~ Uh. What, this? [ She holds up the beaker. ] It just kinda popped out? Smells awful, I'd be careful with it.
no subject
[She remembers seeing that same beaker in that crate from her memory. Maybe it was just a similar design, but...]
Do you mind holding onto that for now? I'll be back to look at it later.
[Christine definitely isn't usually this distant, but maybe she's just busy with something. Busy enough to leave all her merch items in a pile in the lobby.]
no subject
I mean, I can. But... If you recognize it, knowing this place, it's probably meant for you, right?
no subject
[And she can see something sort of floating in the green liquid that looks... like a Tic Tac? She frowns.]
Maybe... maybe I will take it, okay? Back to my room to... to check what it is.
[She's still not sure. It could just be her jumping to conclusions, so there's no reason to panic Riley. But she'll be sure to get rid of that after... after she deals with her other problem.]
Thanks, Riley. I... I'm really sorry, but I have to go now, okay?
no subject
Hold on. Christine, did you get, or, see something weird? [ She has something in her hands, but it just looks like a can of soda. ]

computer room
Hey, Riley. Are you winning?
[He's assuming she's playing a game]
no subject
No. [ She answered that a bit on instinct. ] I mean, unless you can win cryptic messages?
[ This has been...a bust. Riley frowns at the screen, which just displays one thing, a header to an encrypted file.
To her, it's incomprehensible gibberish. ]
no subject
pales]
Where did you find that file.

no subject
Can I sit down? I need to see if it's the same one I think it is. Unless you know how to unencrypt something? [He thinks he remembers what Aston did, but isn't sure]

movie theater!
Cats was pretty funny... in a weird way. She didn't care much for Dracula, but Moulin Rouge was fun! And it's a good way to pass the time.
Granted, if you manage to pick a movie, which someone seems to already be having trouble with!]
Excuuuse, me? [A gentle tap-tap on the shoulder.] Trying to pick a flick?
no subject
Oh. Yeah, everything's kind of...blurring together. [ Her smile's remarkably weak. ]
no subject
...Well, how's about I help you pick? We could watch one together.
[A remarkably gentle question, with Spinel slowly looking from Riley to the choices presented to them.]
no subject
Okay. Sure. Have, um, you watched anything, yet?
no subject
[She counts them off? On her fingers??]
It's pretty funny if this is what people do on Earth. No wonder Pink wanted to go there!
no subject
[ SHE SAW THE TRAILERS. SHE...HAS A VAGUE RECOLLECTION OF HORROR STORIES. ]

Stable, presumably After Everything
[Steven's got a big bowl from presumably the kitchen, filled with various assorted fruits and vegetables.]
I was gonna make sure the horse was fed, not- not too much that can go wrong there, right?
no subject
There's a pink lion in here!
no subject
Wait, what?
[And just kind of shoving the bowl of horse treats at Riley and running into the stable proper? Sorry Riley.]
LION!
[Steven's just gonna kind of faceplant into Lion's mane, that's probably fine. Lion himself seems pretty unperturbed, just twisting a little bit to sniff at Steven.]
no subject
Steven, oh my god, what are y--
[ The lion is relaxed. Sniffs.
Faintly: ] Of course he knows that lion. Why wouldn't he know that lion.
no subject
Oh come on, that's like the easiest thing I can do- no, I know it's not your fault buddy, I've missed you too.
[Lion makes a non-committal sounding rumble as Steven scratches at his fur. Steven looks over his shoulder.]
Riley, come on over and say hi! It's fine, he's a friend. Yes you are, aren't you you big fluffy magic cat.
no subject
[ A thin smile stretches across her face and she's just. So tired, as she iiiiinches forward. ]
