[Another week, and two more dead. King Richard and Red are both gone, and once again, it was through nothing more than an accident in the heat of the moment. Maybe if you all stay calm and collected, nothing bad will happen again?

Well, maybe not.

When you wake on Sunday, you'll find that you've recovered another one of those memories - or had another dream, if you still wanna be in denial about it. The grounds remain as they are, but this time, the door blocking the stairwell has been unsealed. You can now venture up to the second floor! This is the second time that's happened; it's almost as if you get more space every time someone dies. Or maybe the whole place just seems quieter.]

Stable, presumably After Everything

[holyspit]

Hey, Riley. How'd what get where?

[Steven's got a big bowl from presumably the kitchen, filled with various assorted fruits and vegetables.]

I was gonna make sure the horse was fed, not- not too much that can go wrong there, right?

[isawallflower]

[ oh my gosh if it's after everything generally rip riley ]

There's a pink lion in here!

[holyspit]

[It might not be but then the timeline feels weird, rip]

Wait, what?

[And just kind of shoving the bowl of horse treats at Riley and running into the stable proper? Sorry Riley.]

LION!

[Steven's just gonna kind of faceplant into Lion's mane, that's probably fine. Lion himself seems pretty unperturbed, just twisting a little bit to sniff at Steven.]

[isawallflower]

[ Taking the treats, confused, realizing the kid is running at the predator- ]

Steven, oh my god, what are y--

[ The lion is relaxed. Sniffs.

Faintly: ] Of course he knows that lion. Why wouldn't he know that lion.

[holyspit]

[After a moment, Steven surfaces from his attempt to burrow through Lion's mane, taking a gasp of air.]

Oh come on, that's like the easiest thing I can do- no, I know it's not your fault buddy, I've missed you too.

[Lion makes a non-committal sounding rumble as Steven scratches at his fur. Steven looks over his shoulder.]

Riley, come on over and say hi! It's fine, he's a friend. Yes you are, aren't you you big fluffy magic cat.

[isawallflower]

Hhaa, he's a friend? So you're not going to get horribly mangled? Everything's fine?

[ A thin smile stretches across her face and she's just. So tired, as she iiiiinches forward. ]

Is. He also from space?

[holyspit]

Lion only hurts monsters! ...And sometimes weird lizards, I don't know where he finds them. ...We should probably keep Tad Cooper away just to be safe.

[Lion does not need to eat but he's still An Cat.]

No. I think? I'm pretty sure he's from Earth. I don't know exactly what happened, but I think my mom kind of helped him once. So now he's magic!

[isawallflower]

[ A high-pitched whine gets caught in Riley's throat and she swallows it down. It in the end just kind of sounds like a worried squeak. ]

I'll let Angus know. [ She's still not too sure about this, staying a few good feet away. Lions are meant to be seen in zoos or books or movies, and also not pink! ] He's...a pet then. I guess. As. As long as he's not going to...do anything like a...wild animal, I guess...this is fine.

[holyspit]

Hm-

[Steven thinks for a second.]

He really likes trying to fit into boxes even when they're way too small, does that count?

That sounds exactly like a house cat.

[ You know. You know, she's just going to accept this. ]

[holyspit]

I guess? He sleeps inside sometimes, but he's pretty used to being outside, too.

Well- a domestic cat, I mean, a tame one. ...Not like I've ever had one.
