week 3
[The past weekend has been a difficult one. With Valjean's murder and D-ne's brutal execution the monotony has been broken and it can be said the show is finally and truly underway.
When the performers emerge from their rooms on Monday morning the decor of the opera house has changed. Not drastically but someone was busy during the night with some redecorating. There are cobwebs draped over nearly everything, some of them with tiny plastic spiders stuck in the cotton webbing, and pumpkins of various sizes on the floor and on the tables. Some of the walls have been adorned with cartoon-ish paper skeletons and scarecrows and in the ballroom a poseable plastic skeleton has been posed at the piano looking ready to play. Someone's even set a bowl of candy on the counter of the merch booth.
But that's not all. There's a light coming from the now open doorway in the lobby that had been previously locked for the past two weeks. This new floor is similarly decorated but why not go have a look and explore for yourself?
Despite their losses, the show must go on after all.
EXPLORATION TIME
She'd been wandering with her own dazed, shocked thoughts, thinking about maybe turning in coins, and absolutely not about the fact she woke up remembering she was a sailor soldier. the enemy. SAILOR Astarte--- when...the doors are open. A way home? After all of--]
In the velvet darkness,
out of the blackest night...
burning bright
is a guiding star...
[She starts to take steps to the light Maybe, maybe finally...!
She looks to see if anyone else is there. If not, she's going alone. She's a goddess, after all. Shouldn't she lead people to salvation?...]

Can you see what's through there yet?

[She starts to step through, regardless, and...!
...
Stairs.]
Let's go...!
[A way out, away out..!?]

[She follows after Astarte, looking around her as she does.]

There's a light

[The song stops abruptly as she finds herself...in another lobby. It almost looks just like the one above them. Almost.
Astarte's shoulders sag.
Foolish. Foolish. Foolish-]
...Oh.
[She turns towards Natalie, unable to hide her disappointment.]
Its just another floor.
no subject
It's not they would have put it out in the open like this.

[She sighs, and looks around. Though, now that she's gotten a look...]
This looks almost just like upstairs...
no subject
Well, at least it'll be less cramped here.
no subject
[...What are those boxes? She walks forward to look at them.]
What...?

[She goes to open one, and--]
They're locked.
[All of them are.]
...I wonder if it would even be worth trying to pick the lock.

[Frown.]
I don't know. I'm not the best at...this...

Winslow makes a silent follow until he actually catches up to her and makes an awkward wave. Um. Hi.]
no subject
Ah--I mean hi!
no subject
He scrawls.
"You have a fantastic voice."]
no subject
[She looks back up at him, after reading the note.]
I wish I could hear you sing, one day. our voice must have also been lovely.

"I wish I could show everyone.
One of the doctors may at least help me talk."
One of the Billys that is.]

[She thinks.]
You mean...someone here, right?
[Billy, of course.]
