[Hoo boy this ballooned fast but lead the way, Benji.

The light continue to flicker every few minutes, casting ominous shadows at every corner. The rattling has become more faint but it's still echoing on the walls. It looks like there could possibly be movement near the choir room, down the hallway to the dance studio and around the corner toward the dorms.

Pick a direction!]

[barberic]

[Benjamin looks at the group who's followed him despite telling them to stay.]

Girls, you check down that way. Your Highness, we'll go this way.

[Okay, break! He heads toward the choir room.]

[mcfife]

[Angus grips his hammer, wishing he had its magic here, and runs after him.]

Please, allow me to be in front.

[barberic]

[Benjamin shakes his head.]

And what would Elle say, if I didn't return you to her in one piece?

[mcfife]

I have a hammer. I can defend myself if I am attacked.

[But he slows his pace as he approaches the door.]

[barberic]

[Benjamin also slows at the door, peering around the door frame instead of rushing right in.

[The choir room is weirdly dark considering it's noon but the lights are off and there are no windows in here.

Ominous.]

[barberic]

[Is there a light switch? He's learned to use those!]

[There is! The lights flick on, flicker a little but ultimately stay on. Much like the dance studio, this is a very open space and there's doesn't seem to be anywhere to hide.]

[mcfife]

[Okay, Mr. Barker hasn't been attacked, that's good.]

The girls! We have to check on them!

[barberic]

[Benjamin looks down the two branches in the hallway - they should also check the dorms before returning to the others.

He puts on his Projecting Voice and bellows back down the hallway:]

Maya! Miss Wells! Have you found anything?

[mayavericks]

[Still holding onto Peregrine's hand, Maya steps out into the hall.]

We're right here. Did you find anything?

[barberic]

No, unfortunately. I want to continue checking down this way, before we go back to the others.

[He gestures to the dorms.]

If you'd prefer to go back now, that's alright.

[mayavericks]

No. We do this together, the four of us.

[comeandfindme]

No way in hell, Mr. Barker.

[mcfife]

Together. There is danger here, and splitting up will tear away our shared defense.

[Angus leads the march to the Rodger's Dorm first.]

[After giving Benjamin an affirming nod, Maya takes Peregrine by the hand and begins toward the dance studio.]

[ Oh, we're handholding while investigating! Cool! ]

[Ah yes, the dance studio. Possibly the most ominous place you can be during a storm while the power is flickering.

Are we just creeping around the corner or going straight in?]

[mayavericks]

[We are going to use the Lens of Straight Creeping and --

No, that's not quite right. She is going to poke her head around the corner.

And her sword, that too.]

[As the dance studio is pretty open with it's large windows and all the mirrors so as easy as it would be to put a jump scare here...there's nothing obviously hiding in here.]

[ Peregrine almost releases a breath. Almost. ]

Nobody home...? [ She glances at her. ] The dorms.

[mayavericks]

[Maya is going to step over to the mirrors and... knock her sword against some of the panels. She'll also peek behind a few of the mats, just to be sure.]

We should... wait for the others. Just to be sure.

[ She nods quickly. ]
