Week Four
[Last week, Gershwin High School Academy University saw its very first intentional murder! What a milestone! And right after Spongebob's No Murder party, too - that doesn't seem like it bodes very well for anybody's future.
You all wake up this morning with yet another new memory returned to you. You'll also find that the school's external doors have now unlocked. Congratulations! You're free! Unfortunately, you also seem to be entirely in the middle of nowhere. So maybe it's more of a symbolic victory.
Still, you should look around and do some investigation! Maybe you'll find a fun surprise.]

Janis wakes up, well, where she went to sleep. In Maya's bed, with Maya, in Broadhurst. She doesn't wake up with a start, but she seems to be... mulling something over? Either way, there's a sleepy: ]
G'morning.
[ That, well... anyone in the dorm is welcome to hear, I suppose.
After she's kissed Maya goodbye for the morning, however, the first thing she does, actually? Is seek out The Balladeer. With a distinct purpose, actually.
After that, it's time to take a look at the new area, which... is outside. Hm. Alarming. She's going to assume the Wizard just couldn't keep Will Graham caged up and decided it would be easier to let them all out. The baseball field calls to her, for reasons she can't quite articulate, but... that's not where she goes. She actually goes to hang out in The Garden and just kind of. Sketch. If someone comes in, she'll wave. ]
It may be part of the extended murder school campus, but I cannot lie, this place kind of slaps.
[ And later still, she's in the library with a... book about New York City in front of her? ]
Yeah, that looks right... Jesus.
garden
[ Peregrine's a little quieter than usual but— well, that may be to be expected, after this weekend. ]
Uh, I kinda have something for you, but...if this is a bad time, it can wait.
no subject
Uh... Nah, lay it on me.

There's a letter in it. It's from Connor.
no subject
Janis takes it, opens up the letter. Reads through it. ]
Heh. Idiot.
[ She said, incredibly fondly. ]
no subject
Yeah. Yeah, that's kinda mine too.

Broadhurst I gotta

...Janis?
[That's a hushed whisper from the top bunk where Varian sleeps, Rina probably against the wall so there's less chance of her falling off (and if anyone DOES it'll be Varian first).]

... ]
... Hi, Varian.

Can he, like
See Maya...
Like he knows where Maya sleeps but LIKE]

Janis waves. ]

...
......he waves back, his brows raising even higher.
Time for more hushed whispering.]

Oh you know
[Maya... doesn't actually want to get up right away. If Janis allows it, Maya will curl just a little tighter against her. She hasn't shared a bed, let alone a dorm room for some time (you know... other than this dorm room).]
Stay for awhile?
no subject
"And getting hit by a bus!"
Janis internally shakes it off, then smiles. ]
I got nowhere else to be.
no subject
I would hate for you to neglect your care of Graham-san.
no subject
[ It's valid, Maya is valid. Janis has no objections. ]
no subject
[She's quiet for a bit. Long enough to seem as if she might have fallen asleep. But then --]
I had another dream. A memory.

Still, when Janis enters, he manages a:]
'Morning.

Is... this a bad time to talk about something? I'm not. I'm not sure anyone else here would get it.
no subject
[He seems a bit more interested in the possibility of being helpful, at least?]
What's up?
no subject
[ She sits down. ]
Last night, I remembered... we put on this show about the stuff I was going through. And I remember talking to the audience. And when I think about that, I can remember that the audience wasn't actually freshmen, it was...
[ A breath. ]
It was the audience at the August Wilson Theater in New York. Eight shows a week.

Oh...my god, Janis. Are you - really?
