Week Four
[Last week, Gershwin High School Academy University saw its very first intentional murder! What a milestone! And right after Spongebob's No Murder party, too - that doesn't seem like it bodes very well for anybody's future.
You all wake up this morning with yet another new memory returned to you. You'll also find that the school's external doors have now unlocked. Congratulations! You're free! Unfortunately, you also seem to be entirely in the middle of nowhere. So maybe it's more of a symbolic victory.
Still, you should look around and do some investigation! Maybe you'll find a fun surprise.]

[Farrah resists the sirens call to explore. While normally, she’d be the first to whoop and cartwheel through the grass, she has more important business at hand. she can be found in the band room, seated at the piano, frowning at a beginner’s book. It’s.... not great, but she keeps at it all day long. Over and over again, she tries to teach herself the keys, to match the notes. She’s never taken music seriously as anything other than something to dance to, never tried to sing along by following actual notes on paper—- but she stays there, hunched over the piano, completely devoted to her work. She’ll take visitors throughout the day—- her poor wrists need a break, and if the visitors can help her play, then that’s even better.
Finally, shortly after dinner, she goes to find Salieri.]
Hey— I have something I want to show you! [And, if he lets her, she’ll grab his arm and pull him towards the band room.]
Here. Sit— not at the piano. Anywhere else.
[If she counted right... today is father’s day. Salieri has done so much for her. He believed in her before anyone else— and even when she tested him, he did not fail her. He says she’s already made him proud— but she wants to give him more than that. She wants to take something new, something she knew nothing about— and really try. She wants to learn, she wants to try. And even though today has been full of failures, even though she knows she won’t be perfect, she wants to try again. She wants to fuck up completely, then try again, and again, and again. This kind of thing would have been impossible a month ago.
She would have given up. She would have thought—- known that a hopeless loser girl had no hope. But there’s something here that makes her want to do the very opposite of giving up.
She wants to fly. So after taking a deep breath, she seats herself, and starts to play.]
[Flying comes soon after, when she runs through the football field, whooping and cartwheeling.
Then she can be found in the courtyard, knocking allllll the chess pieces down.]

This time, when Eurydice wakes, she does not go to the kitchen. She does not take inventory. Instead, she wanders the school, her typically razor-sharp gaze replaced by something more vacant, almost lost. if you cross paths with her, she’ll startle a bit, very nearly confused.
Eventually, her wanderings take her to the woods. She can feel the sun on her skin and the wind in her hair. Eurydice drops to her knees, and she can feel the cold, soft earth beneath them. She is staining her skirt, but she does not care. Eurydice takes fistfuls of the grass — real grass! — and just holds it.
Eurydice turns her face towards the sky and smiles. She is on the surface, above the ground. She is crying, a little, and so, so grateful. ]

Instead, he simply opens his eyes and just...stares at the bottom of the top bunk for a very, very long time.
Eventually, he’ll drag himself out of bed and get ready, moving to step outside his dorm, where he runs straight into Discord, which I’m sure is going to go so well.
Finally, after whatever happens with THAT, he’ll end up in the Library. There he can be found pulling every single book on Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart off the shelf, stacking them on a table and starting to read through them, one by one. Discord is probably also there, annoying him.
This is fine, I’m sure :)
At some point, perhaps, he does leave the Library and head outside (still unfortunately with Discord in tow,) and head towards the greenery...more specifically, the gardens, where he can be found strolling through there, observing whatever plants and animals are about.
Eventually he winds up in The Courtyard with Discord (again,) in the middle of some kind of chess match. ]
(ooc: if you would like both Salieri and Discord in your thread, please specify and this terrible draconequus will pop in to said thread as well o/)

Janis wakes up, well, where she went to sleep. In Maya's bed, with Maya, in Broadhurst. She doesn't wake up with a start, but she seems to be... mulling something over? Either way, there's a sleepy: ]
G'morning.
[ That, well... anyone in the dorm is welcome to hear, I suppose.
After she's kissed Maya goodbye for the morning, however, the first thing she does, actually? Is seek out The Balladeer. With a distinct purpose, actually.
After that, it's time to take a look at the new area, which... is outside. Hm. Alarming. She's going to assume the Wizard just couldn't keep Will Graham caged up and decided it would be easier to let them all out. The baseball field calls to her, for reasons she can't quite articulate, but... that's not where she goes. She actually goes to hang out in The Garden and just kind of. Sketch. If someone comes in, she'll wave. ]
It may be part of the extended murder school campus, but I cannot lie, this place kind of slaps.
[ And later still, she's in the library with a... book about New York City in front of her? ]
Yeah, that looks right... Jesus.

Peregrine wakes up shivering. Quite unlike her, early riser that she is, she stays in bed in Rodger's Dorm for quite some time, wrapping herself up in her blankets. She's not sleeping, nor is she peaceful; her eyes are open wide, staring. She'd fallen asleep with her red cloak around her, and she pulls it closer now.
When she finally does rise, her morning routine is...different. Instead of going to get a bite to eat, going to workout, she heads for Broadhurst. She doesn't know what brought about the thought, that maybe he might have actually left something. But she has to see, nevertheless.
She swallows down her fear as she kneels at Connor's trunk, before opening it, and—
Oh.
Peregrine stays there for awhile. She just quietly reads the letter and holds it very close. She'll be there for awhile.
After that, she has some people to find, doesn't she? So she sets off looking for a few people. Her first priority is Orpheus, for the record.
Once she has...most of that squared away, well— apparently the doors are open?
Peregrine stands at the edge of the woods for a long time. If she wasn't the kind of person she is—
Doesn't she almost seem afraid?
Eventually, she does venture out to investigate, slowly, taking note of any milestones or anything that could lead her back. She's looking for animals, looking for paths, looking for anything. She isn't getting too far from the school just yet, not without finding ways to get back, like particularly notable trees or bushes, any rocks— Peregrine is not going to get herself lost, not again—
When she eventually comes across the garden, finds the benches, she just sits at the one engraved with Connor's name. She withdraws the letter again from her pocket and reads it. There's no deer hide liner in her cloak, but still, she draws it close around her. Maybe Connor was wrong; maybe it's warm enough after all. ]

Those words ring in his head as he wakes up this morning. The memory started out pretty hopeful; with him, Sandy, and Patrick teaming up to stop the Volcano. But then these Sardines started worshipping Patrick as their savior and instead of sticking with him, Patrick decides to join them as their leader.
Spongebob had never felt so betrayed in his whole life. Patrick was his best friend, they were supposed to stick each other through thick and thin! But Patrick left, and the last thing Spongebob got to tell him was.
Fine! We don't need you!
His heart twisted into knots at the horrible realization that that could have been the last thing he ever told Patrick. Even if he hated that Patrick was abandoning the team the thought that he'll never see him alive again was a constant thought from the moment he got the first motive, and the last thing he told Patrick might have been that he wasn't needed.
He does get up, eventually, and he sees that they're able to go outside now. Instead of making a break for it or attempting to alert the others, Spongebob just... lays at the center of the courtyard, staring at the sky His expression is unusually quiet and sad.
Every now and again, he whispers to himself:]
I do need you.

"That's the funny thing. I could have sworn I had already started performing-- but here I am, and my competition-- er, co-perfomers-- are nowhere to be found."
There were names. Unfamiliar people. A cast list for a play they weren't part of.
"I'm from Midgard in the Yggdrasil system."
"Oh wow, you're a prince? Where are you a prince of? Should I be calling you your majesty or something?"
"Are you a hero? A hero 'til the end of the night?"
"Are you some kind of super cool warrior? Oh my god, Michael would be so jealous right now."
He had been stolen away after entering the terrorvortex into a dimension with many people from a world without magic. Why did he not remember this? Was this the same wizard?
"Takarazuka is like what I do at school!"
Just like Maya. Nana Daiba is also an actress, but there was another name in the pamphlet that catches his eye.
"Ariel, by the way."
"I'm Riley. Riley Williams."

Angus wakes up in a sweat in the Ambassador Dorm and rifles through his rather large pile of gifts. What he's looking for is not the red cape that falls into his hands, but seeing it this morning fills him with a new sense of dread.]
This belonged to Red...
["Most of it is just stray bits and bobs from other worlds, things that are recognizable but not necessarily belonging to anyone here. "
Angus clutches the cape to his chest.
Afterwards, he is found wandering around the school grounds wearing the red cape and holding a white half-mask in his hands. With each person he spots, he approaches them, showing off the mask:] Do you recognize this?
[Late afternoon, he returns outside the building with a bundle of rope and standing beside the wall, looking up. He plants a foot on the brick wall, testing it for friction, shakes his head, then keeps on moving for a better spot. There has to be a good place to climb.]

On the stage there is but one star. Seek for it, hunger for it… Thirst for it, fight for it.
Even alone, I am a star. Only one star can shine at the top
Position Zero. This is Tendo Maya.
Maya awakens on Sunday feeling... uneasy. She had won again, unsurprising considering Karen's less practiced form. But what she had said over the course of the duel. It's exactly what she had thought the previous week, but hearing it said out loud, in her own voice?
She shakes her head. At least Janis's presence is of a comfort to her, and she allows herself approximately 30 seconds of lingering in bed, tucked beneath the other girl's chin, before sitting up.
After grabbing breakfast, Maya heads outside for the first time in weeks. She has her sword in hand, of course, though it's set aside when she reaches the track. She'd put on her usual exercise clothes, as opposed to her uniform so... time to get that cardio in. She runs a couple miles worth of laps because... Why not.
Eventually she ends up on the bleachers though, and gets to practicing her routine. Mostly there's a lot of leaping, from the top of the bleachers to about midway down. It looks... pretty dangerous, especially since she's doing it with her sword? Uhhh...
Either way, Maya doesn't manage to get herself killed. And as a treat, she settles down in the garden. She sits beside, but not on, the bench dedicated to Mumble. And since she at least thinks she's alone?]
I wish I could have shown it all to you. My true brilliance upon the stage. You deserve to know that passion. To know you were not alone.

I know that I've disappointed you.
Though Varian is awake early as he usually is, he doesn't wake and immediately leave Broadhurst to get to work either. He can feel the depression of the bed beside him, reminding him he isn't alone...that Rina is there, having spent the night. Ruddiger sleeps between their pillows, curled in a tight little ball. He can hear the distant sounds of other people out and about already, but that's just what it is.
Distant.
Varian tries to go back to sleep. He wants to hope that dream was just that: a dream.
Eventually, he has to get up. He's alone by now, having been here for everyone waking and leaving. He has to. And so he does, though he's a bit quiet and somber this morning even compared to yesterday. It seems, perhaps, everything is finally sinking in...it's becoming a reality through the shock. He no doubt has heard- maybe seen for himself, by now- that the doors finally opened. He doesn't need to try to fight to get out anymore. Even if what he'd done personally hadn't effected it...they can leave. He doubts it's as easy as just leaving, but...
He goes to the Auto Shop to spend nearly the entire day working on the car. The outside isn't going anywhere, and if they could actually leave the others would have called a meeting or something by now, it's fine. He needs to work, hard, and not think.
...all of that hard working pays off, because all of a sudden as Varian is up in the front tapping wires together to try to hot wire the thing, the car engine roars to life.
After that small victory, Varian will actually venture outside. He doesn't go too far, though he will go at least to the start of the forest as he gently pulls Ruddiger off his shoulders and sets him into the grass.]
Go ahead, buddy. It's alright.
[Ruddiger is of course ecstatic to see the trees, immediately darting off to climb all the way to the very top of the nearest one. He zips back down, runs around Varian's ankles, and does this a couple more times with some other trees. Varian has no plans to go anywhere right now, so he's fine staying with Ruddiger while he does this.]

"Concert?"
"Joypolis's stage! They're doing school idol concerts lately."
"We would love to see all of you perform soon!"
"...I will."
"Hm?"
"I'm going to do a concert here."
"I just can't... Just thinking that people might misunderstand me... my chest feels like it's getting squeezed and it hurts! I can't keep this up... at this rate... I just.. can't connect with everyone..."
"...I would love to see you perform, Rina-chan. So what if there are things you still can't do?"
"Right! You have so many things you CAN do, Rina-san."
"Like the fact you're such a hard worker!"
"And you don't give up, either."
"...Rinako. You know, the best idols are able to turn their weaknesses into their strengths."
"Yeah, exactly! You just need to make up for the stuff you can't do with stuff you can do! So let's think about this together!"
"We still have time!"
She remembers it so vividly. The decision to have the concert, the week and a half leading up to it practicing her butt off, with the rest of the club supporting her all the way. How she nearly backed out at the last second after seeing her stoic reflection... how they all came to help her. Her fellow school idols -- no. Her friends.
Changing.... so I'm trying now...
But even more than that she remembers the concert itself. The thrill of it, the way everyone cheered, the Rina-chan Board helping her make up for her shortcomings, the way she connected with everyone...
When she wakes up she's a bit confused about where she is, having spent Friday night and all of Saturday with Varian in Broadhurst after her confession. She remembers it all quickly enough - she's not back home, she didn't flop in bed after her concert, she's here, still stuck in this school, with the boy she likes and all the other new friends and mentors she's made along the way. After a moment she shifts and sits up, burying her face in Varian's Sonic plushie that she definitely stole as a substitute for her own back in her dorm. ]
I did it... I actually did it...
[ Once she leaves Broadhurst and grabs her board from Rodgers (both versions) while checking in with the others there, she starts exploring the new area, eager to get outside once she realizes everyone is actually able to go outside now. After finding the path in the woods she comes across the garden and immediately falls in love with it... even if the grim nature of the benches flies over her head at first. ]
Wow, it's so pretty...
[ Much later in the evening after the whole... earlier kitchen fiasco she finally finds the nerve to go back there and is trying to cook. She has a simple vegetable hot pot with a tomato broth on the stove, but she's looking at a bunch of other stuff too. ]
Mmm... can I even make this on my own...?

"A friend. Or at least I'd like to be."
Longacre is shaken by a loud gasp, choked in Cassandra's throat as she bolts upright in her bed. Her hands scramble for something before her. Only to find her sheets in this cramped cot stuffed in the same school she'd been trapped in for... It must have been a month now.
...Had she been crying? She wipes her eyes, loudly chasing her breath, trying to calm nerves that burned in her chest.
Oh. Oh this explains some things. She needs to think, she needs space, she needs... fresh air.
Which the outside has in abundance. As soon as it becomes apparent that the doors are now opened, Cassandra dashes from the courtyard and into the woods. She just. runs. The wind whips her face, adrenaline burns. It's almost desperate, how she's pushing through the trees, stumbling more and more... until she trips, and tumbles into a heap of leaves and dead foliage in the underbrush.
Maybe if she just lays there, everything will be fine.
Eventually though, Cassandra has to get up, whether through her own power or someone else's intervention. Soon enough, she leaves the woods, trudging to the north, out of the woods and through the parking lot, coming to an eventual stop in front of something she does recognize: the road.
Road that stretches on, and on. It dips beyond the horizon with nothing else in sight. Except for corn. But she never really liked corn.
But it's something, isn't it?]
Okay... [She breathes, steadying herself.] Okay. We're in the middle of nowhere. This is a start.

"Boy, what do you care? You'll find another muse somewhere."
"Where is she?"
"Why d'you wanna know?"
"Wherever she is, is where I'll go!"
"And what if I said she's down below?"
"Down below?"
"Down below. Six feet under the ground below. She called your name before she went, but... I guess you weren't listening."
Orpheus wakes up slowly, Sunday morning, the sun already high in the sky as he blinks blearily into consciousness. He feels absolutely exhausted, like he just spent days without sleeping or eating, putting one foot in front of the other in search of something - someone much more important than all of that. He just lies there for a long, long time, feeling aches and pains and bone-deep tiredness that only abates when he finally realizes where he is. Those in Rodger's dorm will be treated to him springing out of bed much later than usual, frantic and afraid. ]
Eurydice!
[ And he'll barge into Longacre looking for her, though when it becomes apparent she's not there he'll immediately run back out if not interrupted. He does find her after some scrambling around, and spends most of the day outside with her before returning to the kitchen to do inventory. Things have restocked, thankfully - including all the fresh fruit he converted into preserves, so that's exciting. He does still seem more than a little out of sorts, though, as he tries to sort through their supplies and think through the implications of what he's just remembered at the same time. The observant might notice he's counted the same bag of flour three times, and is on the verge of counting it a fourth, his mind clearly elsewhere.]

That chip on my shoulder.
I have to be bolder.
[She doesn't go to yoga that morning, instead heading straight to the Library and loading up on several book.
Later on she can be found in the courtyard, sitting on a large blanket reading, Bruiser frolicking around nearby.]

[Normally, the Balladeer is an early riser. Today, though, he stays in bed for a long while. By the time he gets up and finishes a long, hot shower, everything with Benjamin has already been dealt with. Oh, well.
Upon arriving in the kitchen himself, the Balladeer looks listlessly through the things he could attempt to cook, and probably burn, and ultimately just makes himself a cup of tea. While waiting for the kettle to boil, he squints critically at the menu posted on the wall.]
Oh, is it...Father's Day?
[That's. Weird.
When his tea is done, he takes it to the cafeteria briefly...but then notices someone just walking out the door? Can we do that now? The Balladeer, mug in hand, approaches the door, hesitates, and then pushes it open and walks into the courtyard. He stands there, right in front of the door, for a little while, looking around at the trees and flowers and up at the sky. Out loud, he concludes:]
I just realized that I've literally never been outside before.
[Also weird! Today's a weird and sad day! But at least being outside is sort of interesting. He spends much of the day just wandering around outside. You can find him basically anywhere - standing in the baseball diamond, wandering around in the woods. He probably briefly gets lost there, but eventually ends up in the garden, where he frowns at the benches before approaching the central tree, choosing to sit on the ground with his back to it instead. He'll just be here for a while, taking it all in.]

MONDAY
cw: scars, dissociation
In the morning, he goes to the Boys' Bathroom, going through the motions of taking care of his basic needs and splashing water on his face. But then he catches his reflection in the mirror and spends an agonizingly long time scrutinizing it, the wrinkles and the stubble that's started to come in along his jaw and down his cheeks from four weeks without a razor.
Then with shaking hands, he takes off his shirt (a first, since he's hardly even undressed in front of his roommates), turning and trying to look over his shoulder to see his back in the mirror. Anyone walking in will see the copious thick, white scars that crisscross his back.
After what he finds in the bathroom he seems even more distant. He goes outside, where one might be forgiven for being a little worried about him wandering off into the woods by himself. But he can be found at the garden, sitting on Sissi's memorial bench, his elbows propped on his knees and his head hanging down.
He comes back inside when it starts to get dark, going to the vending machine and putting in some coins that he found. The first eight items are nothing exciting, and he's about to just kind of sad-roomba them in the most logical spots to leave them for others, when he finds one more coin at the bottom of his pocket. He puts it in, because he may as well.
A small, silver locket falls down into the receptacle. He takes it out, and as he turns it over in his hands, they begin to shake. He drops to his knees, clutching the locket to his chest, all of the emotion that he hasn't shown all day flooding out of him in great, wretched sobs.]

...He's been a little inconsistent on making breakfast for everyone, which he admittedly feels pretty guilty about, but it doesn't take that long to use the concession stand. Right?
Spongebob as usual, likes most of his stuff, he is painfully easy to please, after all. But when the maid dress pops out he seems really annoyed, much more annoyed than usual.]
Ugh, was this stupid thing really in there this whole time? Is the Wizard trying to send a message?
[This is maybe the first thing Spongebob's been really tempted to toss something out
But eventually, a snail pops out. Spongebob is stunned.]
G... Gary?
["Gary" meows, and Spongebob instantly starts crying and hugging the snail.]
Oh Gary I thought I would never see you again! How long have you been hanging out in there? I bet you're hungry after all this time! There's no snail food here so how about some homemade breakfast?
[Gary meows again and climbs on top of his shoulder.]
Alright, one order of pancakes for Gary coming up!
[Spongebob goes to the kitchen to make breakfast for everyone and Gary. He looks like this is the happiest he's been since before the first murder, cheerfully babbling to Gary while he flips an absurd amount of pancakes.
After breakfast, he's spending most of his day in the garden, cuddling his pet snail while enjoying the outside air.
For once, he feels content.]

Salieri’s too boney. Discord’s too boney, and she doesn’t want to wake up graffiti’d on her face. The Balladeer’s too—- jesus christ, why were all the guys here so skinny? In the end, both the safest and the comfiest option is wriggling into Varian and Rina’s personal space, which is where she can be found on Monday morning.
After she wiggles out of that pile, she can be found fluttering around the entire school, acting with a purpose. Her favorite place so far is the football field, where she can be found soaking up the sun while sprawled in the turf, or occasionally doing handstands or cartwheels.
She can also be found in the cornfield. She’s jumping out at people through the corn.]

Investigating here Mods!
He just needs to push forward and focus on today. Right now. The things he can do with his own two hands. He's thankful to have people he can talk to that remind him of that- Rina, Salieri, Farrah, Maya, Elsa, and so many others. The sleepover from last night reminded him of that.
The first thing he'll do today is Investigate. He's not woods savvy like Peregrine, so instead of going there, he's going to look around the garden in particular. What's up with this space, exactly? It's an open little area with a tree, rocks set up around it, benches and the pool of water, but is that really all there is to see? He's going to take a stroll and find out.
Later on, he'll be found in the Hallway making his way back from the boy's bathroom. He looks kindof frustrated, and it's easy to see why- some of the clothes he put together are just...fucking destroyed with grease stains. He's never worked with a car before, and he got himself...so dirty fixing it...and now that he's realized huh, I kindof like this outfit, he's trying to clean it up and it's not working. So he'll hail anyone passing by, a bundle of semi-wet clothes in his arms.]
Do you know how I can get grease out of something? I didn't realize it'd gotten so bad but I guess my apron didn't really catch everything.
[And usually he doesn't care, but...look. He has a girlfriend now. He wants to look...nice...
Later on, Varian can be found at the Gayseball Field. After some rummaging around he's discovered the baseball equipment, and he's got a baseball in hand. It's kindo hard to play by yourself, but there he is throwing the ball up high and catching it as it comes down.
You might even be right there in time to watch as the ball comes down, he misses catching it, and it clocks him right in the eye, his hands coming up to slowly grip his face as he just.
Slowly bends over with an elongated sound of pain, please don't perceive his dumbass]
Oooowww.

Once he forces a bunch of caffeine into his body, he eventually makes his way into the garden. Not that he's particularly impressed by it. He rolls his eyes, leaning against the tree.]
Well, isn't this all nice and scenic.
[Though he pauses a little after, when he actually looks at those benches and, oh, that's. Fun. And maybe he's just going to leave right after, because this is not feeling so great.
And, well, eventually it's time to mess with the vending machine again, get rid of some of these coins. He'll put his latest cat plushie on his shoulder, where it'll stay balanced. As some of that tea he gets floats around him and sings. Idly tossing that amber chunk up and down as he examines his latest gains.]

TUESDAY
MOTIVE: I Could Really Use a Wish Right Now
But why would something good ever happen?
Like clockwork, the doors to the cafeteria click and lock at 11:30 am. There’s silence behind the doors for that full 30 minutes until, precisely at 12 pm, Hester’s voice comes from the PA. If you listen closely you might hear her heave a tired sigh before she speaks.]
Hello, everyone. Please come to the cafeteria for a special announcement.
[When everyone has meandered into the cafeteria Hester is waiting in her usual place above them. Today’s dress is a deep navy, with a gauzy grey skirt dotted with small crystals that sparkle like stars in the sunlight streaming in from the huge windows. Her hair has been styles into a side braid, with the sides held back a pair of adorable hairclips. She looks less than enthused to be up here but, like last week, carries herself with determination. The music starts.]
Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?
I could really use a wish right now, wish right now, wish right now
Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?
I could really use a wish right now, wish right now, wish right now
The Wizard has decided your next motive. [She takes a breath, her hands bracing on the metal railing in front of her. There are no mannequins this time. No envelopes or threatening photos. Just Hester.
And yes, this is a rap. Yes, she is doing her best. No, it's not great to listen to.]
Yeah, I could use a dream or a genie or a wish
To go back to a place much simpler than this
'Cause after all the partyin' and smashin' and crashin'
There comes a time where you fade to the blackness
[She pushes away from the rail and pacing across the floor to the other side of the "stage", her hands moving like she's having a conversation with herself as she sings before abruptly turning back to the group.]
But that's just how the story unfolds
You get another hand soon after you fold
And when your plans unravel in the sand
What would you wish for, if you had one chance?
Your motive is a simple one: kill one of your classmates by Friday and he’ll grant you one wish. He's glad to grant you anything you might want with one restriction: you cannot wish to go back to any time within your time at the school.
Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?
I could really use a wish right now, wish right now, wish right now
Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?
I could really use a wish right now, wish right now, wish right now
[She chews her lower lip for a moment as the music continues behind her, her right hand moving to grip her necklace. Without another word she turns on her sparkly red heels and leaves the cafeteria.]

WEDNESDAY
The Husbandry Club is meeting on the football field at noon! Upon arrival, attendees will find:
- A small flock of chickens. Feed them. Do it. Fucking do it.
- One goat! This is a female goat, and can be milked if you're so inclined; you've even got buckets! Unfortunately, she seems to live for Mischief.
- A pair of friendly donkeys! They would like to be pet.
- Three piglets! They would like to be held and fed, but with fewer implied threats than the chickens.
By the end of the day, all of these animals will be gone - with the notable exception of the goat! If not taken in by anyone, she will henceforth live in the woods and/or the corn field and be a menace to all.]
on wednesday night...
It isn't the house doors, where everybody files in when a trial is called. It's the locked doors on one end of the scene shop - which, logically, must lead to the backstage area.
Without a trial, the auditorium is dark. The stage itself, however, is illuminated by a single ghost light on the edge of the stage. The shadows it casts are sharp. The stage is quiet - ]
