Week Three

[Last week, some shit went down! Salieri's scene went off without a hitch, but the good mood didn't last. The first motive was a bit of a doozy, and yet it didn't even have anything to do with the eventual accidental death of Mumble Happyfeet! At least Sissi was already pretty much dating Death anyway, right? She's probably fine, wherever she is.

This week, new menus have been posted in the cafeteria. But, more importantly, it seems that other new information has emerged. Everyone wakes on Sunday with some new memories - or are they old ones? - floating around in their heads. Maybe there was something to your discussions of time travel after all. Maybe there was someting to the Wizard's knowledge of the future.

Regardless, you're still stuck in here. At least there's some new places to explore this week. Maybe you'll find something helpful.]

[Maya has described the plot of "Starlight" countless times. She's acted out the love of Claire and Flora again and again.

Flora is the beloved of Claire. She is young woman who would do anything to see the memory of her dearest Flora return, so they might recall the promise they made beneath the stars.

[ This seems like a safer conversation than the dreams. The dreams are what, presumably, lead him to the scene shop where he proceeded to stare longingly at anything with a point.

However safe it seems, she doesn’t let go of his arm, not as she leads him past down the halls, past the gym. ]

... June 30th. [A beat.] I kind of thought that nobody would be home, because they never celebrate my birthday anyway? So I slit my wrists in the bathtub. Happy birthday to me and all. Anyway, Cynthia came home from her book club or whatever and found me.

[He shrugs. So anyway that's the context of "I woke up feeling like I was still in that space."]

Okay, first of all: gross. Second of all, no.

[He bends down and raches behind him to grab what's clearly a storage box from the costume room that used to hold makeup or something in it. He's tied ribbon around it to make it look like it's an actual present.

Anyway, he holds that out for her to take.]

And a very merry unbirthday to you, Peregrine Wells.

But not this knife. [He gingerly touches the plastic blade, tracing the carvings on the side.] Thankfully, it's not the real Knife of Evil, but it could have been terrible if it were.

Poker, huh... Maybe I should learn that one. Since apparently I'm the "Best Poker Face".

[ She's not even sure what that actually entails.

She turns back to the screen. ]

This doesn't have poker, but you can play solitaire with little images of the cards. It's programmed to know the game rules...

[ She clicks around with the mouse. ]

And when you win it all goes--

[ As she wins all the cards start cascading down and bouncing all over the place in that old school solitaire animation. She puts up one of her face sheets. ]

I just... I still can't believe that all happened earlier.

[ She peeks over her paper for a second and... apparently it had slipped her mind for a second what names she used and now she's a bit embarrassed. Good thing she can just hide her face behind the board now though. ]

M-Mm... you have to put all the names in yourself, so I picked the names of the people who've been nicest to me...

[ Except she also wanted to include Salieri but there wasn't enough room and you two FIGHT. ]
