Week One

[Yesterday, everyone woke up in a strange place and realized that they'd been kidnapped, and also that everyone else around them may or may not be kinnies? Wow, what a weird escalation of kin drama! Given what some people have seen of Spongebob's freaky arm thing, though, maybe it's not that at all?

Your Assistant Director, Hester, showed off her stuff and immediately had her life threatened by Lumpy Space Princess, who got her life threatened right back. Maybe you should keep that in mind if you decide to pay Hester any more visits! She won't be making another public appearance this week, but as promised, she'll be available for visits and consultation in the Principal's Office during business hours.

If you don't want to chat with Hester, there's always the school to explore! Some of you might also be receiving mysterious coins next to your bedside this week - those must be useful for something, right? There's lots to do, and you all seem like a group who can make your own fun, so enjoy your first week of school!]

Who'd Like Some Stuff!/ Mods for some Investimagation!

Well, Elisabeth has received some items, most of which are...uh. Yeah. Red wig? No thanks. 'Pom-poms'? What are these things? Toy cow?...ok, it's nice and soft, but no, she stopped playing with dolls a long while ago! 'I Hate My Husband Pie'? Why? She loves her husband!

So here comes the Empress, a pile of items in her arms, as she quietly dumps them on a table in the cafeteria. Then, she proceeds to start arranging them in a much less messy line.

One might notice that she has a flower in her hair, above her ear as she does this.]

[A bit later, she's doing some quiet looking around, since she. is. kind of bored. She'll work on some kind of better routine, especially in terms of trying to learn her some advanced guitar shredding, but eventually, she's ended up in the girl's locker room.

...

Well, she doesn't have much else to do right at that moment, so...she's just going to start trying to look through and open what lockers she can. Surely there's a key to open the entrance doors that...someone accidentally lost in here?

[The majority of the lockers are empty, but there's a little folded piece of paper stuck into the back of one of them!]

She slides her arm in to pull out the paper. Quietly she unfolds it to see if by chance something is on it...]

Well now she's gotta be stubborn and just slightly spiteful and just. Finish checking the rest of the lockers! That'll show her who she's taunting! I guess?]

Madame Empress?

[Angus stops by the cafeteria table. He hasn't used the vending machine just yet and all of this is new to him.]

What have you here?

I found these coins at my vanity this morning, and I managed to figure out that they can be exchanged in that little booth near our rooms.

[She gestures to the stuff.]

This was what I received, and...I really have no need or use for most it, unfortunately!

[Angus looks over the trinkets - food, coins, small things.]

Toys, it seems. It's how they keep us from getting bored. [He does pick up the plastic crown.] They would make excellent souvenirs.

Well, I don't know about most of these things being anything I'd bring home with me...

[She goes to touch the flower in her hair.]

This, though...this reminds me of home. I think I'd prefer something like that over a portrait of some man, no matter how handsome he might be.

[Brings her chin up.]

My husband's more handsome, after all!

[The man is rather handsome, he agrees. Someone in his dorm would appreciate it.]

Your husband would be proud to know you think so highly of him. I imagine that he must look grand if he is an Emperor.

Oh goodness, he does! You should see him in the uniform of a dragoon officer!

Just one question. Where is Austria? I have not heard of an empire with that name in my universe.

Do you know of France, perhaps? Or Russia? Great Britain? Europe?

I know of the land of the Francs and Europa. [Russia sounds familiar, but it might not mean the same peoples.] I know of the Britons, if that is who you're referring to. They don't have anything that could be considered "great".

[Huh.]

Austria is in the center of the continent, north of the lands of the Italian states. Its capital is Vienna-that's where my husband was born. I was born in Munich, in Bavaria.

Does...any of that also sound slightly familiar?

Bavaria are a group of people in central Europa, with a main city as Munich. There are many smaller kingdoms throughout the country, but in my time, Bavaria is the ruler of the city of Vienna.

Well, it's true, there are many German states. But were I come from, it is Austria that rules its empire from Vienna.

If you are indeed from Monsieur Salieri's timeline, it appears the smaller kingdoms have united to form larger kingdoms throughout Europa. First the Francs and now the Bavarians.

...It does make sense that they cooperate, if Fife is no longer as powerful as we are. [Maya recognized the name. What happened that Scotland isn't so big of a deal?] What of Fife and the surrounding kingdoms? What becomes of England?

Oh, England? They call themselves Great Britain, and are a part of the United Kingdom, which is ruled by Queen Victoria. They have an empire.

But yes, Monsieur Salieri is correct, though Bavaria is independent of any other country now.

[AGAIN with England becoming an empire. What has happened to these universes that magic does not exist and and England is powerful?]

How odd, these timelines are. It would seem most of us come from a world similar to yours rather than mine.

Well, they are not so different that I can't recognize any of the names...though, may I ask about what Fife is, in your world?
