Week One
[Yesterday, everyone woke up in a strange place and realized that they'd been kidnapped, and also that everyone else around them may or may not be kinnies? Wow, what a weird escalation of kin drama! Given what some people have seen of Spongebob's freaky arm thing, though, maybe it's not that at all?
Your Assistant Director, Hester, showed off her stuff and immediately had her life threatened by Lumpy Space Princess, who got her life threatened right back. Maybe you should keep that in mind if you decide to pay Hester any more visits! She won't be making another public appearance this week, but as promised, she'll be available for visits and consultation in the Principal's Office during business hours.
If you don't want to chat with Hester, there's always the school to explore! Some of you might also be receiving mysterious coins next to your bedside this week - those must be useful for something, right? There's lots to do, and you all seem like a group who can make your own fun, so enjoy your first week of school!]
Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday | Friday | Saturday
(( OOC: This will be the last mod post for this week! Feel free to start submitting regains for any threads that aren't with Hester. Remember, song threads mean an extra coin! This is a peace week, so get all that CR while you can! ))

[This time stuff is pretty standard for him, he gets it. Just harder to tell when everyone's in these school uniforms.]

[That's a long ways back!]
Yeah. The earliest I can go is 1865. [.....] So, like forty years from you, America declared independence and became its own country. I could go into it but I'm not....really a rapper.
[He will not be white-man-rapping Hamilton, thanks]

[he has no idea what a rapper is, and at this point he's too afraid to ask if it has anything to do with these "revolutions"] I...was informed of several revolutions that happened just after my time. Some of them sound rather bloody.

[That bit's not rap! The Balladeer phases pretty naturally from speech to song, and back to speech:]
All before my time, though. There's someone in my upcoming cast who lived through a lot of it, though - I was looking forward to talking to her.

[Which he seems to feel a little odd about, if not regretful.]
I don't think that can even normally happen, but apparently I was wanted for something else, so...

[You know: no murder!]

That is, people trapped like this?

[If it were really a school full of kids, that might be one thing, but he'd think in this case you'd want to differentiate the costumes a little more.]
We had this great old opera house. Huge place.

...how very strange. [he says, like the Balladeer's whole existence isn't incredibly strange to him] How many different shows are you aware that you are in or have been in?
no subject
[You know, before the kidnapping.]
Plenty of different times, of course. Different nights, productions, all that.

But Salieri isn't going to touch on that just yet. It would be rude to say so, even, so he'll just...gently steer the situation another way]
I see. Then such a situation as this must be something of a dramatic change.

I don't...really know what I'm supposed to do. I've always known what I was supposed to be doing, and now it's just...nothing.
no subject
He frowns, a little]
What you're "supposed" to do seems to now only be a fleeing thing, if your narration yesterday was any indication. However...have you given a thought to, perhaps, what you might want to do?
no subject
I don't really know. There's so many options...and...I don't know. I'm not really a real person, like the rest of you. I'm not supposed to do things. I just bear witness to what other people do.
[Which...the play helps, but no one around here is doing anything terribly exciting. Even if they were, he doesn't know what it is unless he's actually physically there.]
no subject
Anyway, that bit of conundrum gives Salieri pause, and he's folding his arms, studying the Balladeer as he considers what the whole situation from his point of view might be like.]
...that does sound rather overwhelming. [he pauses again, weighing his words] Though I would say, in spite of you not being a real person, as you've said...perhaps you're much closer to one now than you've ever been before. And as such, you're a bit spoiled for choice, not only in instrument usage--[a little levity, glancing at the instruments around them]--but in what you'd like to do in the day to day. In comparison to what you were doing before. [they're still rather restricted here, of course]
With all that in mind...might I make a suggestion?
no subject
[That's all given the Balladeer a little bit to chew over - but of course, he's accustomed to other people telling him what to do. Maybe not usually directly, but more-or-less.]
