[Yesterday, everyone woke up in a strange place and realized that they'd been kidnapped, and also that everyone else around them may or may not be kinnies? Wow, what a weird escalation of kin drama! Given what some people have seen of Spongebob's freaky arm thing, though, maybe it's not that at all?

Your Assistant Director, Hester, showed off her stuff and immediately had her life threatened by Lumpy Space Princess, who got her life threatened right back. Maybe you should keep that in mind if you decide to pay Hester any more visits! She won't be making another public appearance this week, but as promised, she'll be available for visits and consultation in the Principal's Office during business hours.

If you don't want to chat with Hester, there's always the school to explore! Some of you might also be receiving mysterious coins next to your bedside this week - those must be useful for something, right? There's lots to do, and you all seem like a group who can make your own fun, so enjoy your first week of school!]

[Well, he's appealing to everyone's better nature so far. So maybe he needn't worry about being eaten so bad.]

You guys really need to eat all that much? We just get by fine on fish.

Well, we don't eat it all at once, and it's portioned. But to keep the body's humors healthy, it is recommended to eat a balanced diet of vegetables and fruit, and alternating meat and fish.

[they sure are definitely still just standing in the dorm while everyone else is asleep, just whispering about nutrition]

Ah...that is to say, the idea that there are specific things needed to keep the body in balance, and a varied diet is one of them.

Oh, I see. In balance. [That's a concept that makes sense.] We just eat and try not to get eaten. It's a lot less complicated.

Ah, no. Not that I'm aware. Mostly cow, boar, sheep and some types of fowl.

Ah...I see. Apologies for the mistake, then. Penguins look a bit different where I'm from.

Yeah. Though it's not like I've met humans before, either.

Oh, yeah. I've met plenty of humans here. I mean, all of you are. I've just never seen any before now. [Laugh.] Up until now, I thought you were all called aliens.

I can see why things might've gotten confusing, then. Having different names for the same things.

Try having to learn the names of everything else too. [Aha.] I've got a lot of catching up to do.

That does seem like quite a task, in addition to all the other strangeness I'm sure you've had to deal with.

[well...now he feels almost silly for startling so much] Ah...apologies for waking you up.

It's okay. [He shrugs casually.] You had the bigger shock than me.

[he's going to just push himself to his feet now] I should let you get back to sleep, I should think.

[He offers a not-flipper to help him up.]

I think I'm too awake now.

[Oh, well, in that case, Salieri will accept the help, dusting himself off once he's on his feet]

In that case...would you like to join me for breakfast? I know Spongebob usually makes something rather extravagant, but I like to brew myself a cup of tea before any of that starts.
