[Well, all escape attempts have failed thus far. None of you have seen the Phantom since his brief appearance on Sunday, or heard from him at all. It looks like, for the time being, you’re all going to be stuck here.

You're free to continue exploring your surroundings to your hearts' content. The only real restriction on your movements is that the kitchen is closed between the hours of 10 pm and 7 am. Better make sure to grab any midnight snacks you may want ahead of time. Also, remember to label any investigation toplevels!

The Merchandise Booth is now open for business as well! The Phantom hasn't deigned to explain how it works, but...well, some of you will start to find mysterious coins in your rooms, and the Booth's got a place to put coins. You'll figure it out.

Should you wish to engage more with your host, you're welcome to drop letters in the box office slot. There's no set way to converse verbally with him, and he's certainly not guaranteed to respond if you just yell at the walls - but that doesn't necessarily mean he isn't listening. Just something to keep in mind.

As soon as the kitchen opened up.

[She'd been there longer, waiting for the door to open. In truth she hadn't slept much since coming here and figured she might as well start putting the extra hours to good use.]

Want some pancakes as well? There's plenty.

[mcfife]

Well, I can't refuse, but if you need help, I can learn.

[The bags under her eyes are concerning. Why should Sigyn work tirelessly to feed them all?]

[She isn't going to stop, but delegation is one of her skills]

If you want you can start cracking and beating the eggs into that bowl. [She nods towards two dozen eggs and a large steel bowl]

[mcfife]

All of them?

[Angus held on egg in his hand. He knows that one must not crush them when cracking them for a meal, but he has had little practice in the kitchen. He lightly taps it against the rim of the bowl.]

Maybe just start with half. We can always make more if people want them.

[There are more than a few teenage boys here, she knows how much they can eat.]

[mcfife]

[He makes one small crack on the egg. Angus strikes it again, causing it to grow in length. With his thumbs, he clumsily opens it up and lefts the yolk, whites, and a few shards of the shell fall.]

Some of the shell fell in.

Use another piece of shell to fish it out.

[Another pancake slides out of the skillet.]

[Surprisingly, it is easy to pick it up with the broken bowl of a shell. Angus tosses it into the bin and picks up another egg.]

Have you heard anything from the Phantom since we last saw him?

No, though I admit I haven't attempted to write a letter as some have. Have you?

[mcfife]

I did, at first. He called me a pest and demanded that I not write to him unless I had "something useful" to say. [Angus says with ire in his tone.] It would be much easier if we could storm his hideout and get this over with!

[reassuranceandrevolution]

[Sigyn scoffs. She doesn't know much about their mysterious jailer, but it seemed in character for him.]

It would certainly be harder for him to avoid giving us answers.

[mcfife]

We will have to overpower him regardless of our plan. [He finishes cracking those eggs.]

The problem is with weapons. If we had unicorn blades, or laser guns, or even a regular warhammer, we could take him on in combat. At the moment, he is likely to have many hiding places, and running unprepared would not get us anywhere.

...All I could find were brooms.

[reassuranceandrevolution]

[There is a sizzle as another plop of batter hits the hot pan]

We may be able to craft some makeshift weapons. Between the prop room and the music room I'm sure we can craft something. Even if we can't, there's a lot to be said for brute strength.

[mcfife]

What of the merchandise booth? If he wants us to kill one another, there may be weapons within. We don't have to makes ourselves the targets.

[He slides the bowl of eggs towards her.]

What do you usually fight with? Swords? Staves?

I didn't do much close quarters fighting, honestly. I'm a pretty good shot with a hand gun or rifle.

[While the pancake in the skillet cooks she takes the bowl of eggs that Angus passes over and begins beating the eggs.]

What about you?

[mcfife]

My ancestral weapon, the Hammer of Glory. It can be wielded like any other war hammer, but as an ancient artifact, it contained astral powers that can even counter immortality.

[reassuranceandrevolution]

That could be useful, if they'd allow us something so powerful.

[She sounds doubtful]

[mcfife]

That may be why it was taken from me. [He nods to himself.] However! That does not mean I can replace it with something similar.
