week 1
[Well, all escape attempts have failed thus far. None of you have seen the Phantom since his brief appearance on Sunday, or heard from him at all. It looks like, for the time being, you’re all going to be stuck here.
You're free to continue exploring your surroundings to your hearts' content. The only real restriction on your movements is that the kitchen is closed between the hours of 10 pm and 7 am. Better make sure to grab any midnight snacks you may want ahead of time. Also, remember to label any investigation toplevels!
The Merchandise Booth is now open for business as well! The Phantom hasn't deigned to explain how it works, but...well, some of you will start to find mysterious coins in your rooms, and the Booth's got a place to put coins. You'll figure it out.
Should you wish to engage more with your host, you're welcome to drop letters in the box office slot. There's no set way to converse verbally with him, and he's certainly not guaranteed to respond if you just yell at the walls - but that doesn't necessarily mean he isn't listening. Just something to keep in mind.
Enjoy your first week, everyone.]

(( OOC: This will be the last mod post for this week! Feel free to start submitting regains for any threads that aren't with the Phantom. Remember, song threads mean an extra coin! This is a peace week, so get all that CR while you can! ))

He makes a beeline for the kitchen. He's spent Tuesday familiarizing himself with the kitchen (read: watching people cook over their shoulders) so he knows well enough that the top of the stove gets hot, potentially hot enough to burn a rather large feather.
He only seems to regain color in his cheeks after the kitchen has well and truly began to smoke.
After that, he'll be in the dining hall. He's received quite the collection of pies from the booth, and is happy to offer them up for the pending meeting.
Following all that... Ariel will retire to his room once again. At least this time the door is open. And you might find this man currently enjoying his two bottles of white wine. Oops!]

Ariel? Can I come in?
no subject
By all means, come right in! [He's... a little loud, honestly. Sorry Stephen.]

just gonna kind of...walk on in, half-close the door behind them, and ]
How much have you had to drink?

This game has taken an interesting turn, my friend.

Hey Medieval Times, your food’s burning.
[ She’s helping! Her tone is a little less harsh than what it was when they first met. Santana’s warming up to him, slowly, and against what she thinks is her better judgement. ]

[His voice is dry, and though his brows push up in amusement, he mostly looks pretty distracted. He turns the feather over on the stove, watching embers lick their way up the feather.]
You'll be happy to know that I am not attempting to cook
no subject
Is that — a feather?
[ Dude, why? Why burn a feather? ]
no subject
I received it from the Merchandise Booth. I would rather not continue to carry it with me.

Today she goes to the costume workshop. She found something that worked while she washed her clothes yesterday, but if they're here for much longer she needs more than two things to wear. She pauses on particular dress before making a face and placing it in the much taller pile.
Later she pays a visit to the merch store, pulling out a strange bag of beans.
Sleep doesn't come easy that night, and the cramped solitude of her room is too much to bear. Well, the lobby has some comfortable couches. She curls up in the corner of one, seemingly zoning out, a small red poppy spinning between her fingers.

Um, sorry. I can - I can go somewhere else.

[Sigyn straightens up a little]
I don't mind. Jeremy, right?
no subject
[It's a Greek name, Jeremy.]
no subject
[She smiles, but doesn't comment on the mention of Jeremy's heritage, seeing as she has no idea what it is.]
How are you? You seemed...stressed at the meeting.

She starts the afternoon/evening in the costume shop, going through a bunch of different outfits. ]
Why are some of these even in here...?
[ She asks, looking through a few gag outfits. But then she finds... ]
Aha!
[ Here they are: Goth Clothes. ]
Guess there are some pluses to not having dad around.
[ Or later on, she's in the music room just kind of... noodling around with the piano. She settles eventually on a few notes. ]
I'm...
[ ... ]
Not sure what I'm doing here.

Why, ‘cause daddy didn’t let you dress like Robert Smith?
no subject
Who?
no subject
He was in some mopey band for weirdos called the Cure. People who are goth and old like his stuff.
[ santana says, with audible disdain for both the goth and the old. ]

But. As she's on her way there, she happens to hear something. The piano, and the start of a familiar voice.
It draws on her curiosity. Brings her into the room. ]

[This is probably the best place in the opera house, of course he's here. He picks up a guitar and plucks out a few notes, mimicking the start of what was obviously going to be a completely cheerful and not angsty song.]
Do you wanna keep going?
no subject
Uh... okay?
[ And she's going to... get back into it, but try to make it a little cheerier? Shift to a major key, maybe? ]
I'm... delighted?
no subject
This is all a little scary, but kind of exciting?
