[Well, all escape attempts have failed thus far. None of you have seen the Phantom since his brief appearance on Sunday, or heard from him at all. It looks like, for the time being, you’re all going to be stuck here.

You're free to continue exploring your surroundings to your hearts' content. The only real restriction on your movements is that the kitchen is closed between the hours of 10 pm and 7 am. Better make sure to grab any midnight snacks you may want ahead of time. Also, remember to label any investigation toplevels!

The Merchandise Booth is now open for business as well! The Phantom hasn't deigned to explain how it works, but...well, some of you will start to find mysterious coins in your rooms, and the Booth's got a place to put coins. You'll figure it out.

Should you wish to engage more with your host, you're welcome to drop letters in the box office slot. There's no set way to converse verbally with him, and he's certainly not guaranteed to respond if you just yell at the walls - but that doesn't necessarily mean he isn't listening. Just something to keep in mind.

Ah. No, I'm afraid we didn't get to that part but... [He brightens up.]

The small, red one -- she and I rotated a few dials on one of the devices in the kitchen. It caused water to flow. Perhaps the reverse might be true; if we locate the right dial, we can turn the lights off?

[With a final pat to the chest he lets Ariel go.]

Maybe a lever, or... a button?

That, or perhaps even a -- [He trails off. There's a spark in his eyes, a piece put together. He breaks away from his new friend and all but sprints to his room.]

Come now, good man!

Oh! Um- Coming!

[Richard runs after him.]

Why are we running?

[Ariel flings the door open and stands just a few feet in. He motions very proudly to a switch. He flicks it a few times.]

See now?

[Richard furrows his brow at the tiny lever when Ariel first gestures to it.]

I don't-

[And then Ariel flicks it and the lights go out, and Richard gasps loudly. When Ariel flicks it back on, Richard jumps in place and claps his hands excitedly.]

That's amazing! Such a tiny lever can make it dark and light so quickly!

I will have to speak to one of the others -- one of the Stephens, perhaps -- as to how it works. But a way of simply turning electricity on and off? It's truly incrdible, don't you think?

[Sorry he's gonna... sit here and play with it a minute.]
