[Well, all escape attempts have failed thus far. None of you have seen the Phantom since his brief appearance on Sunday, or heard from him at all. It looks like, for the time being, you’re all going to be stuck here.

You're free to continue exploring your surroundings to your hearts' content. The only real restriction on your movements is that the kitchen is closed between the hours of 10 pm and 7 am. Better make sure to grab any midnight snacks you may want ahead of time. Also, remember to label any investigation toplevels!

The Merchandise Booth is now open for business as well! The Phantom hasn't deigned to explain how it works, but...well, some of you will start to find mysterious coins in your rooms, and the Booth's got a place to put coins. You'll figure it out.

Should you wish to engage more with your host, you're welcome to drop letters in the box office slot. There's no set way to converse verbally with him, and he's certainly not guaranteed to respond if you just yell at the walls - but that doesn't necessarily mean he isn't listening. Just something to keep in mind.

[And when she turns to look, he will turn and leg it in the opposite direction.]

[She almost falls for it, glancing away for a split second. Not nearly long enough for Richard to actually disappear.]

Wha- Where are you going?

[She follows after him at a brisk walk]

If you need help, you can just ask. [she calls after him]

[He glances over his shoulder to see her chasing him. After he speeds up to a brisk power walk for a few minutes he stops, shoulders slumped in defeat.]

Well do you know what a switch looks like?

[Sigyn raises an eyebrow]

Do you want me to show you one?

[superbeliever]

...Yes.

[reassuranceandrevolution]

Do you want me to show you the one in your room?

[superbeliever]

... Yes... Ma'am?

[reassuranceandrevolution]

[That makes Sigyn laugh. A good, deep belly chortle.]

Oh no, please don't call me Ma'am. Come on, show me to your room.

[CUTE.]

Right. Yes, um. My room.

[He turns away quickly to hide the light flush on his face, and leads her back to Room 7.]

Here we are! See- "King Richard--" wait.

The Tagalong? That's uncalled for! And- and definitely not accurate.

Don't take it too hard. Apparently I'm an "Extra" [She jerks her head back towards her door and the "Ascended Extra" tag under her name]

I think they're just trying to get under our skin.

Hmph. Well, I suppose that makes sense. I am nobody's "tagalong," after all, I am a king.

[reassuranceandrevolution]

Well, your majesty, would you like me to show you that switch now?

[The way she says 'your majesty' isn't exactly sincere]

[He doesn't notice.]

Please do.

[She moves past him into the room. Then, making sure he was watching, pointed out the light switch by the door]

This is the switch. Up turns the lights on- [She flips it down. Luckily the door is still open so the room isn't completely dark] -and down turns them off.

[superbeliever]

[He startles a little when the lights go off.]

So it's like a very small lever.

[He reaches out and flicks it up again, startling, again, when the lights predictably come back on.]

[reassuranceandrevolution]

Right!

[She steps to the side so Richard can test out the switch more]

Should be much easier to sleep now.

[superbeliever]

Yes it should!

[Click click click click]

And I shall think of you when I do, my good woman.

[reassuranceandrevolution]

[She steps out of the room]
