week 1
[Well, all escape attempts have failed thus far. None of you have seen the Phantom since his brief appearance on Sunday, or heard from him at all. It looks like, for the time being, you’re all going to be stuck here.
You're free to continue exploring your surroundings to your hearts' content. The only real restriction on your movements is that the kitchen is closed between the hours of 10 pm and 7 am. Better make sure to grab any midnight snacks you may want ahead of time. Also, remember to label any investigation toplevels!
The Merchandise Booth is now open for business as well! The Phantom hasn't deigned to explain how it works, but...well, some of you will start to find mysterious coins in your rooms, and the Booth's got a place to put coins. You'll figure it out.
Should you wish to engage more with your host, you're welcome to drop letters in the box office slot. There's no set way to converse verbally with him, and he's certainly not guaranteed to respond if you just yell at the walls - but that doesn't necessarily mean he isn't listening. Just something to keep in mind.
Enjoy your first week, everyone.]

(( OOC: This will be the last mod post for this week! Feel free to start submitting regains for any threads that aren't with the Phantom. Remember, song threads mean an extra coin! This is a peace week, so get all that CR while you can! ))

You don't find anything under the bed, although it's a good job you smoothed the sheets; they looked kinda wrinkled.
The drawers contain paper and pens, just like your drawers. There is no monogrammed stamp, no wax, and no envelopes. There are a few stray scraps of paper in the back.
The bathroom is empty save for a disposable razor left on the sink.
Now then, the mirror! There's no switch or visible mechanism on this side, but you know that trick where you check to see if the mirror is flush with the wall or not? It's hecking not. It's not even pretending to be, honestly.]

Christine checks the scrap paper for any writing, and does attempt scribbling lightly over them even, checking for any indentations from someone writing on a paper over top of them.
You know, like you would in any murder investigation. After pocketing the razor, Christine examines the mirror, and is quite chagrined to see that it's not flush with the wall. It's got to be a secret passageway. But how is she going to get it open?
After a little more fiddling (probably even trying to lift the mirror before she realizes she needs way more manpower), she decides to try what she had before and start tapping on the door.]
Hello? Would you, um, mind letting me in? Just for a minute! I need to ask some questions!
no subject
The scrap paper does appear to have writing on it, but the pieces are very small, as if it was torn off something larger. They're too small to distinguish more than a couple random letters.
There is no response to the tapping or anything she says. You can basically expect that to continue.]
no subject
If that doesn't get a reaction or even move the mirror, she might have to move on to the other vacant rooms.]
no subject
Okay, where to now? Rooms 19 and 20 both vacant!]
no subject
She eventually returns to Room 5 with a thin knife, which she attempts to slide in behind the mirror. She'll try it all around the mirror, just in case she can manage to trigger something.
At the same time, she doesn't want to break the rules, so she keeps babbling to herself all the while.]
Excuse me! Sorry, Mr. Phantom, I'm not going to hurt you with this if you're behind there! I really just want to talk!
no subject
- oh! Something went chnk!]
no subject
[Oh that's a good noise! That's a something might be opening noise! Christine wraps her fingers around the frame again and pulls with all her might! Please open, please open!]

Behind it, there's a dank, unlit corridor that extends about a yard into the wall. It terminates there in a brick wall. The bricks in the wall are not the same color as the ones lining the corridor. Weird.]
no subject
[Christine stubbornly starts pressing on the bricks, checking for any that might be loose. All the while, she's still stubbornly calling out for someone on the other side to answer.]

[Yeah, she actually makes that noise. She actually does sound quite like a frustrated tiger of sorts. Someone's been listening to the Cats soundtrack too many times.
Well, if that's a bust, she's going to head for the next vacant room. With the knife. One of these secret corridors won't be sealed!]
no subject
This room does not have a star on the door! You can see the light outline where one must have been, but it's certainly not there now. Inside, its furnishings look like all the other rooms.]

Unlike in Room #5, a set of envelopes, wax, and monogrammed seal has been provided in the drawers. The letter on the seal is M. There seems to be nothing amiss in the bathroom, and nothing in the drawers that you wouldn't find in your own.]

This time the brick wall is much closer to the entrance.]
no subject
Is it still the same colour of bricks? Or was this one sealed up sooner?]
no subject
no subject
But she's come this far, so it's time to do a sweep of the other vacant room as well!]
no subject
...oh! It's an arm thing! It looks like it fell on you from an upper shelf - this has just been converted into a storage room, huh.]
no subject
Hopefully there are even more exciting things!]
