WEEK 1

[With the introduction of their showrunner and a brief run through of what they're in for in their time in the Opera House out of the way, the performers are free to explore the first floor of the opera house at their leisure then and for the rest of the week that lies ahead. The double doors leading to the kitchen will be unlocked at 7 am and locked at 10 pm for intermission. Performers are free to prepare meals for themselves and others at any time outside of intermission.

The Merchandise Booth will also be open for business after the first day as some of the performers may find envelopes with their names on it taped to their doors in the morning.

If performers wish to have private conversations with their showrunner, The Balladeer, just step up to the box office and see if he's in.

But enough of that. What business do you have in the ballroom today, Natalie? Perhaps I could help.

[She shrugs.]

No business. Just wandering around again. Not like there's much else to do here.

[dechagny]

[Raoul gestures with his "rapier".] That is when you must make your own fun, I'm afraid.

[robitussin]

Yeah. There's a piano in the music room, so that's cool, I guess.

[She sighs.]

At least we're all assuming we'll be able to leave after a while.

[dechagny]

If our audience grows as bored of us as we are of this place, then surely we will. The management will have made a poor investment in their "show" otherwise.

[robitussin]

It just seems weird for them to be like, hey, we're going to go to all the effort to bring you guys here, then assume you're going to kill each other even though you know you can leave without doing so, then when that doesn't work, just let you all go. Does that seem like a good plan to you?

[dechagny]

No, it seems like a poorly-constructed plan relying on several of us being unhinged.

[robitussin]

I mean, if that was their idea, they definitely know enough about us to know whether some of us are.

[they have those pamphlets, after all.]

So if that's what they wanted, chances are that there are people here who are unhinged, like you said.

[dechagny]

[Raoul shakes his head.] That may be so, but I would not call any of us unhinged.

[Winslow doesn't count, he's a bro and was having a moment.]

[robitussin]

And that would definitely be easy to tell by now, since we've known each other for a whopping few days.

The unhinged reveal themselves much more quickly than you would think, I assure you!

[Raoul you have no experience in this, only French Victorian sensibilities]

Uh, have you known a lot of unhinged people? Should I be concerned about you?

I...have not...but I have read many articles concerning them in the papers.

[Victorian papers.]

Right. I'm sure the papers you're reading are very accurate and up to date.

They are! I make a point to keep up with the news.
