WEEK 1

[With the introduction of their showrunner and a brief run through of what they're in for in their time in the Opera House out of the way, the performers are free to explore the first floor of the opera house at their leisure then and for the rest of the week that lies ahead. The double doors leading to the kitchen will be unlocked at 7 am and locked at 10 pm for intermission. Performers are free to prepare meals for themselves and others at any time outside of intermission.

The Merchandise Booth will also be open for business after the first day as some of the performers may find envelopes with their names on it taped to their doors in the morning.

If performers wish to have private conversations with their showrunner, The Balladeer, just step up to the box office and see if he's in.

Enjoy your week, everyone.]

[Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday]

[ooc: This is the last mod post for the week for us! Feel free to start depositing coins in the merch booth if any of your threads have reached that length, so long as they're not with the Balladeer. Remember, song threads mean double coins! There will be no murder this first week so gain all the CR you can while it lasts, darlings.]

"It's not as good as home cookin' but it'll pass."

[Instructions mean they cant possibly screw this up.]
dechagny: (cannot believe)

[personal profile] dechagny 2016-10-18 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
[Well, at least he has that vote of confidence. Raoul manages a smile as he starts pulling out the things he needs. Pot, check. Put water in pot, check. Put it on stove at...high heat?

...uuuuuuuuh let's just put it on the highest setting here. Now he needs...]

Milk and butter...at precise measurements...[He looks to Darla, a little lost.] Do you suppose any cup will do for "one-forth of a cup of milk"?
littlegirl_littlecurl: (the heck)

[personal profile] littlegirl_littlecurl 2016-10-20 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
[Ooooh yes. Not-another-bowl-of-cereal, here we come!

...

Maybe.]

"Uhm. No. You have to find the cup... with lines on it?"

[Yeah. That makes sense.]
dechagny: (will smugly concede)

[personal profile] dechagny 2016-10-20 06:20 pm (UTC)(link)
[Huh. Lines? Sounds simple enough. Raoul goes to look through the cupboards again, emerging with...a mug with lines on it.]

Would this work?
littlegirl_littlecurl: (sympathy)

[personal profile] littlegirl_littlecurl 2016-10-21 06:12 am (UTC)(link)
"I don't think so?"

[She kinda...mimes a cup shape with her hands.]

"It isn't for drinking, it's... you just pour things out of it."
dechagny: (stopping some raptors)

[personal profile] dechagny 2016-10-21 02:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Then why is it called a cup?

[Well back to searching. He rifles through before he finds this weird thing.]

Oh - this tiny pitcher! It has the measurements on it. Surely this will work?
littlegirl_littlecurl: (and all of the people drowned)

[personal profile] littlegirl_littlecurl 2016-10-24 07:11 am (UTC)(link)
[She just makes a weird face while he looks. She's just here to look cute and eat, not name cups.]

"That's the one!"
dechagny: (made it to survivor pool)

[personal profile] dechagny 2016-10-24 12:54 pm (UTC)(link)
[Look he's gotta ask somebody this future stuff is really confusing]

Ah, good! Alright, then...

[He's just going to carefully...caaaarefully measure out the right amount of milk...]
littlegirl_littlecurl: (bump)

[personal profile] littlegirl_littlecurl 2016-10-25 06:53 am (UTC)(link)
[She can't even see the top of the stove Raoul cmon.

Speaking of, she's just gonna... drag a chair over so she can watch.]

You gotta make the macaroni first.

dechagny: (will smugly concede)

[personal profile] dechagny 2016-10-25 01:23 pm (UTC)(link)
[Oh. Uh. Right. Let's just see - yep, the water's just about boiling. He pours the macaroni in, making a noise as a white packet nearly tumbles in too. He catches it, though - lucky!]

Huh! Now that is not a macaroni...
littlegirl_littlecurl: (sympathy)

[personal profile] littlegirl_littlecurl 2016-10-27 06:56 am (UTC)(link)
[Nice catch. And he didn't even scald himself.]

It looks like macaroni to me...

[???????]
dechagny: (mild disgust)

[personal profile] dechagny 2016-10-27 01:01 pm (UTC)(link)
No no - what's in the pot is macaroni. [He shows her the packet.] This is not. What is this doing in there?
littlegirl_littlecurl: (gurl plz)

[personal profile] littlegirl_littlecurl 2016-10-28 04:59 am (UTC)(link)
That's the cheese.

[She points to the pot and the packet in his hand.]

Macaroni. And cheese.
dechagny: (aint no viscount got time for that)

[personal profile] dechagny 2016-10-29 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
...

[He opens up the packet curiously, peering inside.]

...It's a powder. An...obnoxiously bright orange powder.
dechagny: (mild disgust)

[personal profile] dechagny 2016-10-31 01:31 pm (UTC)(link)
...No, cheese is not powder. It comes in wheels and blocks, not...dust.
littlegirl_littlecurl: (gurl plz)

[personal profile] littlegirl_littlecurl 2016-11-02 06:34 am (UTC)(link)
It does when it all comes in a box, sweetcheeks.
dechagny: (mild disgust)

[personal profile] dechagny 2016-11-02 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)
...

[Okay, he. He's going to have to take your word for it and see how it works because right now he is just all sorts of confused.]

I...suppose there's nothing to be done about it now, if it is already indeed a powder.
littlegirl_littlecurl: (you know how it is)

[personal profile] littlegirl_littlecurl 2016-11-04 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
It'll come out alright, don't worry. See on the box?
