week 1
[With the introduction of their showrunner and a brief run through of what they're in for in their time in the Opera House out of the way, the performers are free to explore the first floor of the opera house at their leisure then and for the rest of the week that lies ahead. The double doors leading to the kitchen will be unlocked at 7 am and locked at 10 pm for intermission. Performers are free to prepare meals for themselves and others at any time outside of intermission.
The Merchandise Booth will also be open for business after the first day as some of the performers may find envelopes with their names on it taped to their doors in the morning.
If performers wish to have private conversations with their showrunner, The Balladeer, just step up to the box office and see if he's in.
Enjoy your week, everyone.]
[ooc: This is the last mod post for the week for us! Feel free to start depositing coins in the merch booth if any of your threads have reached that length, so long as they're not with the Balladeer. Remember, song threads mean double coins! There will be no murder this first week so gain all the CR you can while it lasts, darlings.]

[I don't know what the fuck that is, so you know what sure]
Ah, there is! You just relax, then - I'll have it ready in a minute.
no subject
You're, ah... You're a very considerate man, Valjean-san. You don't have to prepare it for me.
no subject
[he is making you tea deal with it]
no subject
...Hm. I-if you insist.
[...but that doesn't mean she has to make conversation with you!]
no subject
If she doesn't feel like making conversation, he's content to sit and sip the tea in silence for a few moments. Probably not forever though.]
You were right, this is quite good.
no subject
D-ne takes an extra big sip of her tea and clears her throat.]
It- yes, isn't it? It's my...favorite, taste and scent.
[look when someone talks to you you're supposed to be polite.....]

How lucky that there's some here. It is a small reminder of home, at least. [is she, perhaps, homesick]
no subject
Mm... Are there any comforts for you... or is this place a complete bastion of negativity?
no subject
[For you know, reasons. Speaking of...]
And I suppose Inspector Javert is also something of a reminder of home. [lol, the one constant in his life]
no subject
Excuse me? Is... Do you and the Inspector know each other?

no subject
Does this have something to do with your history as a criminal?
[like
she read your profile my dude]
no subject
It does. I couldn't say he has spent his career hunting me, but we have run into each other quite often. [It seems statistically improbable. There's definitely more than one police inspector in France probably] I broke my parole, you see, many years ago.
no subject
Is that so? Why... What did you do, anyway?
no subject
[It's funny. A lifetime of secrets, and yet only a week here has made it so much easier to tell.]
In France, you see, ex-convicts are meant to carry papers declaring their status, which they present wherever they go. I imagine you know how that ended for me. [It's sort of right there in the pamphlet.]
no subject
[Hm! She nods in understanding.]
Valjean-san, it sounds like...you have lived a very full and interesting life? All for stealing bread... How cruel.
no subject
[he's with you on this one french social systems are bullshit thank you for teaching us this valuable lesson victor hugo]

no subject
[Which, well, France isn't really a democracy at present. So, uh.]
no subject
And you think they want that?
no subject
[wow I don't know shit about the French Revolution this is terrifying trust nothing I say]
no subject
Well... Even if it doesn't last forever, history shows then that it'll happen again, won't it?
