WEEK 1

[With the introduction of their showrunner and a brief run through of what they're in for in their time in the Opera House out of the way, the performers are free to explore the first floor of the opera house at their leisure then and for the rest of the week that lies ahead. The double doors leading to the kitchen will be unlocked at 7 am and locked at 10 pm for intermission. Performers are free to prepare meals for themselves and others at any time outside of intermission.

The Merchandise Booth will also be open for business after the first day as some of the performers may find envelopes with their names on it taped to their doors in the morning.

If performers wish to have private conversations with their showrunner, The Balladeer, just step up to the box office and see if he's in.

That's a good way to look at it! [ Much better than moping about lost loves and what have you... ] They do seem to have all these things here for people to take.

Indeed, and if they're offered to us for free then of course we should make use of them! Perhaps if they're kind they'll even restock them when we run low!

At least they seem to be fairly devoted to keeping us comfortable here.

They do! For captivity, it certainly is much better than I would have imagined. Not that I've imagined being kidnapped to put on a show potentially involving murder, of course.

I agree. It's all quite... bizarre. Like something out of a novel.

[ What kind of novels have you been reading, Hans? ]

Normally kidnappers don't give us quite so many things to do or quite so large a cell.

Indeed, I never would have thought that we'd be provided for in such a way either! It all seems very... nice. Much nicer than most kidnappers would be, probably!

I have to admit it's a lot nicer than the stories tend to portray it.

[ He kind of expected more shackles. Shackles are probably a thing. ]

Then again, this isn't your usual kidnapping, either.

It certainly isn't. I've no idea why we were all captured; I imagine not everyone can give them much...

Wanting us to put on some kind of "show" is just insane, isn't it?
