week 3
[The past weekend has been a difficult one. With Valjean's murder and D-ne's brutal execution the monotony has been broken and it can be said the show is finally and truly underway.
When the performers emerge from their rooms on Monday morning the decor of the opera house has changed. Not drastically but someone was busy during the night with some redecorating. There are cobwebs draped over nearly everything, some of them with tiny plastic spiders stuck in the cotton webbing, and pumpkins of various sizes on the floor and on the tables. Some of the walls have been adorned with cartoon-ish paper skeletons and scarecrows and in the ballroom a poseable plastic skeleton has been posed at the piano looking ready to play. Someone's even set a bowl of candy on the counter of the merch booth.
But that's not all. There's a light coming from the now open doorway in the lobby that had been previously locked for the past two weeks. This new floor is similarly decorated but why not go have a look and explore for yourself?
Despite their losses, the show must go on after all.

I...had not pegged you for the religious type, Miss Hime.

I don't even know if God can hear us in here.

Sorry - I did not mean to frighten you.
[But at that second one...yeah, he feels you. Raoul sighs, comes further into the chapel, and sits on a bench across the aisle from Hime.]
We are taught that God sees and hears all, in France. I am not the most devout of men, but I did believe it to be true...though, all things considering, you may be correct. This opera house may indeed be Godless.

[That's definitely something he would pray to God for.]
Perhaps...there may not be anything that can help us if we simply continue to wait and hope. Perhaps there are actions we can take to free ourselves.

That sort of thing is common in storybooks, Miss Hime...but then again, we are in a very unusual situation. Perhaps other things from storybooks might be plausible. Have you tried triggering a door to open by removing books from the shelves in that library?

[They don't have TV where he's from what else is he supposed to do]

If anything, it is worth a try. Why not?

How do we know where to start?

[Hime walks with purpose to one bookcase. She pulls out a book and swipes the books on that shelf to the right, then the books on the shelf below to the left, and finally pushing the books two shelves above that apart from the middle of the shelf. She looks extremely proud of herself.
Until nothing happens.]

Ahem.]
Well. It was certainly worth a try.
