It's just strange that people would care so much about who other people fall in love with based on gender.

You're telling me. And that's not to mention how much they feel like it's their business.

Right? I guess sometimes with family businesses and things like that you run into problems with, um, heirs, and succession, but that's the only time I'm really used to hearing people get upset over it? Or sometimes people have a hard time being rejected because the person they like doesn't like them, but that happens for a lot of reasons besides gender too.

God I would've hated middle school so much less where you're from.

I didn't really go to school for very long, but I guess I can see how heteronormativity [ he has to say the word kind of slowly, still not used to it and sort of sounding it out ] would make things harder. Kids can be really mean.
