Week Five

[Last week, you had your very first minor body pileup! Granted, the Balladeer's death was entirely unrelated to anything, but at least he died as he lived - getting completely fucked up in some kind of carnival-themed hellscape. Only two days later, another terrible accident took Rina and Varian both from you. It's just been one of those weeks, huh? At least you got to add both of their corpses to your weird growing collection!

Again, you'll wake up this morning with another new snippet of memory. You'll also find that the stairs in the lobby are no longer blocked. You can only access one part of the second floor, but it seems like there's some neat stuff up there!

Outside, a few things seem to have changed. For one, the weather has turned - it'll be overcast this week, with periodic rain and even scattered thunderstorms. For another, the bushes around that rock out by the football field have bloomed. That's nice.

[ She beams. ]

[She's leaning down for a smooch.]

[ Smooches her! ]

Once we are out of here... You and I should work on a play together. You could create the sets, of that I'm sure.

[Maya moves her thumb and forefingers together, like a frame.]

[ She grins. ]

That is what the American awards are, right?

Pff, naw. Tonys. I watch them with Damian like every year. But yeah. We'll get 'em. Who's gonna stop us?

This... really isn't bad. It smells Terrible but...

[ Janis gasps a little, and moves her head to make sure Maya has access to all of her hair. ]

[ She closes her eyes and, much quieter than usual: ]

[She works on the braids diligently, eyes narrowed perhaps a little more than they need to be. It's a little hard to focus, which means that the waterfall braid she's attempting is a little messier than it should be.]

[ It's fine, it's perfect!! She blushes. ]

I've never had somebody like me this much for who I am before. I think I've already said that but it's true.

[Maya sighs. Ah, Claudine.]

From moment one, she knew me from my history. My lineage. And in many ways, she knows me better than anyone else. There is a bond there. But it's... different from being known for something else. [ She blinks, then snorts. ]

[ She takes a second to collect herself. ]
