Week Five
[Last week, you had your very first minor body pileup! Granted, the Balladeer's death was entirely unrelated to anything, but at least he died as he lived - getting completely fucked up in some kind of carnival-themed hellscape. Only two days later, another terrible accident took Rina and Varian both from you. It's just been one of those weeks, huh? At least you got to add both of their corpses to your weird growing collection!
Again, you'll wake up this morning with another new snippet of memory. You'll also find that the stairs in the lobby are no longer blocked. You can only access one part of the second floor, but it seems like there's some neat stuff up there!
Outside, a few things seem to have changed. For one, the weather has turned - it'll be overcast this week, with periodic rain and even scattered thunderstorms. For another, the bushes around that rock out by the football field have bloomed. That's nice.
Get to it, friends! I'm sure everything will be fine this week!]

(( Be sure to submit your memory regain and your AC for this week! As always, Hester's office hours and the merch booth remain available. ))

[ She thinks. ]
And you and me and Peregrine are the main characters? I like that.

[Maya moves her thumb and forefingers together, like a frame.]
Perfect.

[ She grins. ]
Fuckin... representation.

That is what the American awards are, right?

[ Cuddles into Maya's lap. ]
At least we got the weed over on him. This rules.

[You know what, she's going to work on a braid. Because she can.]
You rule.
no subject
This also rules, you also rule, I want you to never stop playing with my hair.
[ She closes her eyes and, much quieter than usual: ]
I'd rather be me
I'd rather be me
I'd rather be me when I'm with you

[She works on the braids diligently, eyes narrowed perhaps a little more than they need to be. It's a little hard to focus, which means that the waterfall braid she's attempting is a little messier than it should be.]
I cannot imagine a better you than you are now, my Starlight.

I've never had somebody like me this much for who I am before. I think I've already said that but it's true.

[Maya sighs. Ah, Claudine.]
From moment one, she knew me from my history. My lineage. And in many ways, she knows me better than anyone else. There is a bond there. But it's... different from being known for something else. [A little giggle.] For my horrible attempts at flirtation, my desperation to keep all of us together. Or how all I can ever cook is potatoes.
I feel like a person with you.

[ She blinks, then snorts. ]
You just said something really nice to me, and I said something that sounded like a sex joke. I'm so sorry.
[ She takes a second to collect herself. ]
I like the person you are. [ Janis reaches a hand up and puts it on her cheek. ] This is Maya Tendo.
no subject
No, no, it's -- [More laughter, though it's eventually stifled by Janis's hand on her cheek.]
I love you.
no subject
Love you too. Like a stupid amount.
[ And gently, contentedly: ]
And I'm stupid with love...
no subject
I didn't get it
I didn't get it...
'Till now
no subject
I didn't get it til now...
[ Janis giggles. ]
Did I ever tell you I gave up on dating before I met you?
no subject
Is that true? Really?

[She sighs faintly.]
I hope I will not let you down
