Week Three

[Last week, some shit went down! Salieri's scene went off without a hitch, but the good mood didn't last. The first motive was a bit of a doozy, and yet it didn't even have anything to do with the eventual accidental death of Mumble Happyfeet! At least Sissi was already pretty much dating Death anyway, right? She's probably fine, wherever she is.

This week, new menus have been posted in the cafeteria. But, more importantly, it seems that other new information has emerged. Everyone wakes on Sunday with some new memories - or are they old ones? - floating around in their heads. Maybe there was something to your discussions of time travel after all. Maybe there was someting to the Wizard's knowledge of the future.

Regardless, you're still stuck in here. At least there's some new places to explore this week. Maybe you'll find something helpful.]

[Her laugh is low and soft. She moves away from Janis, if only to sit across from her.]

In any case, it's surprising that you haven't heard of it. It was my understanding that the original story was written in English.

[ Gets a girl to do this stuff, apparently! ]

Probably a different worlds thing, then. If a play like this was written in English, Damian would have let me know by now.

Damian enjoys these types of plays, then? [A laugh.]

If not for the obvious problem of his gender at an all girls school, I would say he would fit in great with us.

In any case, you'll have to introduce me to him.

[fourbutts]

He loves a play with some good gay rep in it. And he knows that's what I look for too, honestly.

[ She nods. ]

Oh, absolutely, you two are going to get along great.

You both have excellent taste, then.

[A beat.]

I knew I liked you for a reason.

[fourbutts]

Oh yeah?

[ She leans forward over the table, resting her hand on her chin. ]

I like to think I have pretty good taste, yeah.

[mayavericks]

[Well, Maya's not going to let someone outplay her in Gay chicken. She leans forward as well.]

I should consider myself lucky, then.

[fourbutts]

Looks like we both are.

[ And there's only so much longer she can keep dancing around this. There comes a point when you both know the other is gay, you are reading a part in a gay musical for the other girl, and. Like.

And she leans forward to try to straight up just kiss Maya. ]

[When has Maya Tendo ever said no to a challenge? It certainly won't happen here, not with so much on the line.

So no, Maya doesn't hesitate. She meets Janis partway there, perhaps a little hesitant, but only because she's unsure if the other woman will try to back out beforehand.]

[ Well, uh. Janis definitely puts more into the kiss than just a quick press of lips, but. This is, in total, her first kiss. She's putting on a confident face about it! Janis pulls back a little. ]

Like we said. Good taste.

[mayavericks]

[Being at an all-girls school means that Maya has had some experience. Not much, considering her devotion to her studies, but... In all things, Maya is impressive.

That doesn't keep her cheeks from flushing brightly as Janis speaks.]

Impeccable, really.

[And not to be outdone, she leans in to initiate her own kiss. Nothing intense, but certainly not fleeting, either.]

[ Once the kiss is ended, Janis opens her eyes, which she didn't even realize were closed on the second one? ]

Already falling into our roles well, I see.

[Except not really. If Claire and Flora had made out more, Claire probably wouldn't have lost her damn memory.]

If it was more like this, I would love play rehearsal.

[mayavericks]

You know -- [Maya's expression almost looks sly. Almost.]

We perform Starlight three times over the course of our schooling. Each time we want to improve, right?

If you ask me, the play could use a few more scenes like this one. Just to... ensure the audience doesn't mistake Flora and Claire for good friends.

[fourbutts]

[ Janis arches an eyebrow. ]

And I mean... we'd want to make sure the performance is as real as we can get it. Obviously. For the craft.

[mayavericks]

Of course. And you know, the audience can just tell when a connection isn't genuine. We certainly can't have that.

[fourbutts]

Then we really need to make sure we sell it.

[ She sort of. Looks around. ]

We should find somewhere more private to rehearse at some point, then.

[mayavericks]

[While Maya has been flushed most of this conversation, it certainly gets a little deeper at that.]

I imagine the Nurse's office would be adequate? No one really needs to be in there.

[fourbutts]

[ maya: this isn't an anime, janis
also maya: let's sneak away to the nurse's office to kiss

But look, Janis is also blushing? But she is, broadly, against holding things too far back when it comes to feelings. ]

Cool. Cool cool cool. Uh. Hell yeah.

[Look at what you've done, Janis.]

I, ah. Should leave you to your studies though. I worry you might focus too much on those specific scenes if I linger.

[ shes so proud, now we just have to get her dabbing ]

Right, there are... you know, lines in this play and all.

Perhaps I will see you later this evening, then?

[You know, at the party. Nothing weird or anything.]
