Week Three

[Last week, some shit went down! Salieri's scene went off without a hitch, but the good mood didn't last. The first motive was a bit of a doozy, and yet it didn't even have anything to do with the eventual accidental death of Mumble Happyfeet! At least Sissi was already pretty much dating Death anyway, right? She's probably fine, wherever she is.

This week, new menus have been posted in the cafeteria. But, more importantly, it seems that other new information has emerged. Everyone wakes on Sunday with some new memories - or are they old ones? - floating around in their heads. Maybe there was something to your discussions of time travel after all. Maybe there was someting to the Wizard's knowledge of the future.

Regardless, you're still stuck in here. At least there's some new places to explore this week. Maybe you'll find something helpful.]

Ah, well...perhaps the Wizard. Seeing as it's my dagger. Though last I checked, it was on display on the in my quarters, not in a vending machine.

Oh. It's yours? [She chills out a little-- at least it's a familiar knife.]

Yeah, that's weird. It shot something of mine out this week, too. The Balladeer got it.

It is. It was a gift from his Majesty after my successful Singspiel in Vienna.

[he arches an eyebrow at her, though] Oh? And what did you receive?

Jesus, you really did hang out with kings and shit, huh? [That explains a lot, but she doesn't really dwell on it too much, instead reaching into her purse and pulling out the silver flask with black zig-zags on it. Of course, it's a flask-- there's nothing surprising about that, except maybe that it's still full.]

I do count Emperor Joseph the II among my friends, yes.

[he sounds a bit amused, but his attention is distracted by that flask. He blinks]

A flask?

[Farrah gives him this astonished sort of look-- but decides not to dwell on it, and instead nods.]

Yeah. My flask. I had it with me, when-- [Well. You know.] So it's kindof weird it was in-- Oh! Also, this was in there! [She whips out a plastic baggy. It's full of rice-- and what Salieri will not recognize as an iPhone 6.] This is Annleigh's. Which is even weirder.

Your sister's? [he frowns, leaning in a bit to get a better look]

What...is it, exactly?

Her phone. I'm actually worried about it-- it's broken. And Annleigh's normally like, super careful with her phone. Seriously, I could smash like, a phone a week, but Annleigh will keep hers pristine for years.

Angus said maybe... it got hurt when The Wizard took me-- maybe she saw, and he broke it, to keep her from calling for help. I guess we know that isn't possible, now. [You know. The whole being dead thing.]

[that'll garner a frown out of him] From what you've told me of her, she does seem the kind to take extra care of her possessions.

[he looks at it, thoughtfully]

Is it completely irreparable?

With the screen like this? Yeah, it's fucked. [She gives the bag a shake.]

Not sure about the rice-- but that normally means water damage. So two things. That's okay, though, I'm sure if we got it on it'd just be full of pics of Clark, and 100 text chains of them going "No, you say bye first!" at each other.

[Salieri considers the phone]

Perhaps...you could ask Varian to take a look at it? [that is the nearest person he knows that Does Stuff with tech. He does not know about Rina's board yet ok]

Maybe... If the computers weren't super fuckin old, we might have a chance with connecting it there. [She sighs, then tucks the phone into her purse.]

Varian is super fucking smart though. Maybe I'll ask.

[those are a lot of f-words, but you know what, he's starting to become immune]

It certainly couldn't hurt, could it? If it's already broken, that is.

I guess not. ... But if he can't do it, then I'll be sad. So it's better not to try.

Will you...not be sad if it simply stays broken?

Well, yeah, but less sad than if I make up some hope that it'll work.

[the urge to protest that is very much there. In fact, it garners a slight frown of thought on Salieri's face as he folds his arms, leaning back against the wall of the hallway as he considers.]

I can...certainly understand where such an idea might stem from. And the ease of it.

[he doesn't like it, but he can understand its origins]
