Week Three

[Last week, some shit went down! Salieri's scene went off without a hitch, but the good mood didn't last. The first motive was a bit of a doozy, and yet it didn't even have anything to do with the eventual accidental death of Mumble Happyfeet! At least Sissi was already pretty much dating Death anyway, right? She's probably fine, wherever she is.

This week, new menus have been posted in the cafeteria. But, more importantly, it seems that other new information has emerged. Everyone wakes on Sunday with some new memories - or are they old ones? - floating around in their heads. Maybe there was something to your discussions of time travel after all. Maybe there was someting to the Wizard's knowledge of the future.

Regardless, you're still stuck in here. At least there's some new places to explore this week. Maybe you'll find something helpful.]

Sunday | Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday

(( Be sure to submit your memory regains and your AC for this week! Hester's office hours and the merch booth also remain available! ))

RINA-CHAN BOARDOOO

[ Rina was just minding her own business, being anxious about the motive, when she spots the SQUIP with something... all too familiar to her. ]

E...Eh!?

[ She rushes over immediately. ]

Wh-Where'd you get that?! What's it doing here and not back in my room?!

[ She hasn't gotten any of her own stuff out of the regain machine before (she'd seen Peregrine get a Sonic plush, but it was generic enough it could belong to anyone) and didn't even think there was anything of hers in there, so this is a shock. ]
voicerights: (it starts with almost nothing)

[(・_・;)

The SQUIP looks down at her before reaching up to take it off]

It came from a coin. It's yours?

Um... w-well, yes I um...

I actually.... designed and built it m-myself...

[ She was trying to put the paper down to say all that but in the end had to hide her face behind it anyway. There is just something about seeing it on KEANU FUCKING REEVES that is throwing her for such a loop, even if he's taking it off now. ]

B-But it was just a prototype? I don't remember ever finishing it...

A clever device, for a human. [Damning with faint praise, anyone? But it'll hold it out to her] I would like to see how it works on another human. Put it on.

Oh... okay.

[ She takes the headset and puts it on, careful with the way she sets it in place. Immediately the blank screen comes back to life and shows an apprehensive face. As she talks the mouth also moves to match her voice. ]

W...Well? Is it working okay?

voicerights: (where do you think this will lead?)

[Just gonna crouch down to get a better look at this. Can one see through it, by the way?]

Its display is operational. How did you get it to interface with one's brainwaves?

[ Not technically through it no. But she did also outfit it to work as a fucking VR headset so it definitely has a screen on the inside as well. Probably connected to a tiny camera somewhere and making her Iron Man, that's what I'm going with because fuck you Love Live. Can't see through it from the outside at all though. ]

Um... it's a mix of things really. Have you ever seen those cat ears that move according to your mood? I used some similar parts... and then I also added some voice recognition software so it can also use the tone of your voice as a reference.

I even programmed some key phrases into it as a failsafe to make sure it would give me the face I wanted. Like um...

[ In her happiest, cutest voice: ]

Rina-chan Board says... "all smiles!"

[ And sure enough it changes to a big happy smile. ]

You have difficulty expressing yourself, so you created it as a tool. [Not a question, but it nods.] Perhaps you should have found a SQUIP instead; it could have taught you how to work without it.

A SQUIP? Aren't you SQUIP?

[ She has not heard the whole... deal yet. ]
voicerights: (do you feel the commotion?)

I am one of many - a single Super Quantum Unit Intel Processor - though I am uncertain how many are still operational.
